Never stayed but attended events here. The huge hotel offers ample space for events. Never tried the restaurant or shops but they seem rather uninspiring. The interior feels a tad industrial. It's actually hard to navigate from one convention room to another b/c of the architecture. Imagine doing this in business-wear and heels!

Parking/valet is costly but it's possible to save by parking across the street near the mini-park/playground. After dark, it can get really foggy here so be wary of motorists/pedestrians.

A beautiful state of the art hotel, with freight trains running all night, complete with 120 dB horns, and clanging alarm gates. Unless you have a room dead center on the ocean side, you will get no sleep. At $300/night they should provide complimentary ear plugs when you check in, you shouldn't have to request them at 3am.

Nice hotel and nice room. The resort fee is automatic and can not be waived. No one has a choice. It s like they force you to rent their bicycles, kayak and get WiFi as part of your hotel stay. You got no say or choice in the matter. For that I will have to give it a low rating.

Beautiful everything, but the $35.00 per night parking fee was the only downer. I overheard several people complaining about it especially the ones who were not aware of the parking fee. You are somewhat forced into paying it because you definitely need a vehicle while in San Diego. The staff has lots of training on what to say when you mention anything about the parking fee. Don't waste your breath. Besides that we had a fantastic time in San Diego. I didn't even get a kiss when I paid the $210.00

Food was subpar, unfortunately. Deconstructed Caesar salad must have been the laziest appetizer I've ever seen. Chicken was dry. Coffee was weak, dessert was ok. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Wonderful experience by the Marina. The only thing I would change is waitstaff by the pool. I came in on a Monday so it may be weekdays don't have waitstaff. On a hot day it would have been nice to not have to go wait at a bar for a beverage.

Loved this hotel! Great location. Within walking distance of a lot of good places.
Nice and clean... room had a balcony with a great view. They also had free margaritas in the lobby when I arrived, so that definitely started my stay right.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely took advantage of the free water from the front desk. Would love to stay here again.

One of the best hotels we have stayed at. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. As Gold Elite members, we got a room on the 24th floor overlooking the marina. It was great. We only stayed for a night, so we didn't get to use any of the concierge services on the floor. Also, the outdoor area is huge, clean, and inviting.
If I was going back to San Diego tomorrow, I would find a way to stay here.

My review mainly has to do with wifi charges and parking fees. For people that don't have a ton of money these extra charges put a damper on the trip. When I made a reservation I didn't see anything mentioned about these extra charges. $32 to park under ground. $47 if you want the valet parking. $13 for slower internet $15 for faster speed daily. The good points are the view we had of the harbor and pool. We were on the 4th floor so pool sounds were very loud but that is expected. The pools were great and heated. The people we dealt with at the hotel were very nice. After the first night we found we had to leave after 3 nights instead of the 4 we planned and they were fine with that and didn't charge us for the last night. We did let then know 2 days ahead of time. If I could afford to come back to the hotel I would but the daily extra charges make that unlikely.

In North Tower. They had 6 of them but only 2 seemed to be working..lines were forming to get access. Really? Shouldn't be happening!!!!

The only time I've been coming to the Marriott in San Diego is because of Comic-Con. I have been coming here for 6 years and enjoyed every visit because they are always decked out in the latest trends. Their bathrooms are really nice and clean and smell like happiness. They also provide free Wi-Fi as long as you are a guest there. Their valet Parkers are very polite. I enjoy going up and down their escalator. Their employees are always so polite as well. I recommend anyone to stay here during Comic-Con if they can afford it.

Beautiful hotel... great location-close to all the happenings in downtown San Diego! We had a lovely view of the marina... outside down at the pool wonderful and at night you can sit by bonfire very cozy! Honestly only downfall is the parking price! And for as much as you pay for the rooms they should provide free breakfast. Also the beds were small to fit two people. And the bathroom didn t have any ventilation so it seemed stuffy in there... Hey we didn t get chocolates or water!!

Established hotel with one of the best locations since its adjacent to the pier ocean front. Beautiful pool, nice rooms and classy decor as should be expected for a luxury hotel. Always have a nice stay here although food options are quite limited... But gaslamp quarters offers a fine variety nearby just a short 6-9 mins walk away...

Amazing hotel. Spent a week at the hotel and found the staff to be very professional and helpful. Many bars and restaurants to choose from. Using their own private gate you can access the marina walk and access the hotel again using your room key.

Rooms are great especially the ones with balconies. Beds are comfy and the best sleep you'll get. Nice pool and space in the back. WiFi isn't free but you can just sign up for a free Marriott rewards account and get free complimentary wifi.

Great hotel with an incredible location. Walk anywhere downtown, the Gaslamp area and the waterfront. The staff is attentive and energetic. It's connected to the convention center and close the the airport.

Although it took a while for me to get the step stool that I requested for my room, this place is gorgeous. I enjoyed my spacious room, the balcony view, and eating by the fire pits outside. There were plenty of food options and staff surrounding the property.

Great place to stay. Right next to Seaport village and Gaslamp. Great brunch places and a no of good bars within 5-10 mins walk. They have plenty to space outside to enjoy time in the hotel. Highly recommend this place.

Great hotel and it's in an excellent location, close to restaurants, shops and other interesting places to see. Staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are nice. Very convenient to catch the Old Town trolly to see more of the area. I would absolutely stay here again.

A beautiful hotel with a great location. Clean on the inside with helpful staff. Ballroom was great for the comic Con panel I went to with a very nice waiting area outside the ballroom while I waited.

We loved our stay at the Marriott Marquis in San Diego. All the workers were very kind and helpful. Great location on the harbor and right next door to Seaport Village. They gave us bottled water every day and chocolates! A plus!

Fast check-in experience, food option is not that great for vegetarians. Great view from the room and location of the hotel is great. Easy to Uber in from airport as well as the zoo, Coronado island

The hotel is a nice hotel, however the price you're quoted is not quite right... First of all there is a $25 a night resort fee, secondly parking is $50 a night! (I wasn't informed of this until the bill arrived the next morning). Lastly as a lifetime Platinum member I have come to expect that when the lounge is closed that I am offered breakfast downstairs in its place, however as the hotel employee informed they are one of eight properties that does not do this however I am welcome to get breakfast for $33 a person (including tax and tip) but as compensation they will give me 1000 Marriott points! Other than that the hotel is clean, the location is great and the rooms are nice.
