Food was DELICIOUS. Great service, excellent views. The best tacos I've had in years, and I eat tacos often!

i ordered the jerk chicken burger. the piece of chicken i got was so tiny and oddly shaped compared to the bun. it was sliced extremely thin. when i looked at it i almost laughed it was so thin. about 2 maybe 2.5 millimeters thick. like a deli slice haha. best thing about my meal was the soup. the calamari was thinly breaded. seemed like if you were to even breath too close it would just flake off. il admit tho i tried a bite of my wife's burger and it was delicious. il try it here again. just stay away from the calamari and chicken dishes and play it safe with a burger.

Great service, good food, I had the fish and chips, will be going back soon.

Our waitress was great and kid. Patient too. I had the tariyaki tofu bowl and it was absolutely delicious!

They did a good job of keeping people socially distant, the food was nice and quick, and VERY tasty!! We had a great time.

Great place to eat. My wife and I were there the other day. She had the chicken tacos and I had the chicken teriyaki bowl. Both were excellent. As was the service.

Food was good but over priced in my opinion. Our server was not very friendly and didn t come around often at all. Lower patio is an awkward seating area when everyone is lining up for the restaurant on the other side of the glass.

Got quoted $12,000 for a 2hour booking for the upstairs space. No joke.
For $12,000 you could.. book an entire estate winery for 3 nights on air bnb. Start a food truck business! Put a down payment on a small apartment! Or... rent the upstairs of Saltys for 2hours.

Horrible. They forgot some of the food we ordered. We had 2 tables. Party of 11 mature senior people and we got kicked out because they had a reso for the tables yet there were other tables empty. Poor.

RESERVATIONS RECOMMENDED. Salty's is one of those restaurants that if you've never been, you have to try it. The food is really good, we've never had a problem with it being cold. It is a very popular place, so expect a long wait if you haven't made reservations. The atmosphere is great, and if you're lucky enough to get on the top level on the patio, the view is amazing. They have lots of fun drinks as well. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the staff. It sounds like it's hit or miss with some of the servers, and the one we had was almost too laid back for me. Other than that, its a really great experience if you're visiting Penticton!

Went with my family, 2 kids (6&8) for dinner, great location right across from lake, good food, ice cream shop next door. Make a reservation if possible.

I always love visits to Salty s. It is a lot of fun in the summer with their huge patio right across from the beach and nice and warm in the winter. Favourites include the Banana Baileys drink and any of their seafood!

Saltys has been an excellent choice of location for me to enjoy some good food, good , drinks with family and friends. If you can snag a spot up on the patio then you can enjoy a stunning view of the lake. If not, you'll be surrounded by a neatly themed beach house.

Everything was 5 stars. Highly recommended. Will definitely return.

Very good and diverse menu, comfortable/casual. Reasonable prices. Excellent service. Fish and chips perfectly prepared, crispy coating, cod not over cooked.

Everything we order was sooo good. We even ordered an item by accident (miscommunication on our part)... She took it off the bill.

We will return everytime we are in Penticton.

While Salty's had been a tradition in Penticton for a long time, that notoriety appears to be taken for granted. The food and service is usually good, but or most recent experience highlights the challenges this restaurant will be facing. One of our party ordered the Gluten Free Thai Noodle Salad, which arrived with the rest of our meals.

Unfortunately, they did not have a suitable GF replacement for the noodles - so it's really a GF Thai Salad.

The server was in a poor position because she didn't realize the problem, so I contacted the management (Earls) and they reiterated the problem, but provided no solutions.

Sadly no one wanted to make us happy - not even getting the GF Noodle-less Thai Noodle Salad for free. I guess that's what happens when you get so successful, you forget to do the one thing that matters the most - make the customer happy.

This place is awesome as ever. The chorizo burger, blackened chicken salad, and fisherman's pot are great! Service is really good, and the bathroom is good too. Patio has a nice view. I've never had a bad go here.

CONS: Food is terrible. *Fish that smell rudely "fishy" Burgers that barely taste like meat. I think they took a pound of beef and made 10 lbs of burger "meat". *Slow or no service when asking for a drink or vinegar. Way over priced for the quality of food and service. PROS: **They make excellent alcohol drinks!!! The atmosphere feels fun, not too loud or too quiet. Good place to drink, BAD place to eat!

Great service! We didnt really like the pad thai or the dip for the calamari but we mentioned it to the watriess and she had a manager come over and comp our meals. We ended up tipping 1/2 our meal cost to our wonderful waitress who listened to our feedback. Pad Thai was too sweet. Calamari was WONDERFUL but the dip wasn't traditional tzaki but some sort of aoili which was just as salty as the calamari. the 2 together was too much.. a nice yogurt dip to cut the salt is my recommendation. Also when i asked about the Pad Thai before ordering, the waitress hadnt tried it. Id suggest making all the dishes for the waitresses to taste so when i ask if the pad thai is more like A or B they can answer knowledgably.. We are locals and eat our 5 days a week at least. If it werent for the MGMT making us believe they'd change the menu a bit to encourage locals to return, I woulnt go back.. BUT WE WILL :) because i love salty's!

Very good food and service with a nice seafood restaurant look and vibe. The restaurant is very busy, so book ahead.

We had a table of 8 adults and Hillary was accommodating to move us to the patio. Service by April was excellent - fast, responsive and anticipated our needs at every turn. The mahi mahi pistachio dish was flavorful but a bit over-done, as was the salmon, but the complete dish with asparagus and mashed potatoes was overall very good. Would recommend you to enjoy this place.

We had a birthday party there tonight at 6 pm and the waitress was very good as we had 12 of us there. We never waited for anything she was all was there. Her name was Emma we let her know that she did a great job. As well told the manager that we were very happy she Emma was very good. The rest of the staff was very friendly as well and the food was outstanding. Would recommend them to any of my friends and family to go there. And they were very busy at 6 pm and the food come out good and hot as well. If you have never been there you should go it was great.

Natai is the best most attentive server like, ever! She was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu as well as the cocktails and gave us some of the 'favorites' to help me narrow things down. We already posted review on TripAdvisor but needed to come here as well. Thanks to her and the rest of the staff we had an amazing experience I had the fisherman's hot pot and my partner had the steak and both were delicious! Great cocktails as well and obviously the view of the lake.

Was horrible SALTY food. Maybe they should stick to fish and chips. Steaks are not their specialty for sure.

Mussels, mahi mahi, tuna, fettuccine, a plethora of specialty cocktails, local craft beer - everything was exquisite.

An eclectic menu with lots of flair keeps this restaurant in the top 5 year after year. Best enjoyed in the shoulder seasons, when it's not (understandably) mobbed by tourists.

Our service was not the best, our food had missing ingredients and we didn't get the happy hour rate. Manager tried to make it right by giving us a discount but i had asked to speak with the manager but she did not speak with us. The location is great though

Come to Penticton to for vacation every few years and have always wanted to eat here so tonight I made a reservation. After 15min of being ignored, watching people who were seated after us get drinks and order food we walked out. I'm disappointed in the customer service especially since there was 7 hostesses just standing at the front and the restaurant wasn't busy. Won't be back.

Honestly, I m so disappointed and frustrated. First we called to make a reservation and the kind woman we spoke to let us know theyre not accepting reservations which was totally understandable as it was a weekend. She did however say just call 45 minutes before and we can put you on the waitlist and can get you in within that time (the 45 minutes) so we said perfect. Then we called back 45 minutes before we would be arriving and a different lady said oh it s about minimum 1 hour and 15 minutes until you can get a table. No problem I understand it got busier. We put our names down and we arrived 45 minutes after we put our names down. When we show up we ask how much longer we will have to wait and the hostess says oh sorry it s going to be atleast another hour. At this point we are starving and we cannot wait that long to simply get into our table so we look at the menu and decide to order take out to eat on the beach. It took atleast 10 minutes for someone to come to take our take out order. Yes again I understand they must of been so busy and understaffed perhaps. We wait another 45 minutes for our to go food. Yet no call. We go over and what do you know it s ready. They said they d call us and no one called us. I ordered their clam chowder and a salad. My friends ordered some chicken dishes. They gave us no cuttlery. Which we don t find out until we unpack at the beach. Our food is all cold and tastes old and stale. My clam chowder was literally minestrone soup with one shrimp, one clam, and one muscle. It was awful. And it was cold. My friends chicken and wontons were cold, their tacos were cold, and their fries stale. My salad was actually warm. Overall personally we just had a terrible experience and for the price of the food for the quality that we got was just so sad. I m not wanting to spread negative vibes here I really just wanted to share our experience and highly recommend not ordering out. Aswell as not ordering the clam chowder. I m giving it 1 stars because the hostesses were doing a good job at practicing Covid safety and were continuously asking people to form a line 6 feet apart, which I appreciated.

I had a great experience here. Really liked the music playlist and the deco made it fun. The food was delicious and was the perfect portion of your hungry. I would definetly go here again. It was quite busy though we had to wait in line for a bit to get a seat, but all in all great experience

We lucked out and got a really nice table on the patio facing the beach which had great views. The menu had lots to choose from which gave us so many options to choose from.Good food and service. On beach so about 1-2 dollars more than should be. Would go back again the next time we are in Penticton

Wonderful service...our daughter tried a new food but didn't like it and it wasn't a problem at all. The fish and chips was crispy and delicious. We had a great lunch/brunch.

The food was absolutely atrocious. The seafood was so old it was practically inedible. Wish I could say their great service made up for it... But honestly you can't come back from a salmon that smells like tuna and tastes like a fisherman's foot. Thanks but no thanks.

They have a lively environment. Food is on the ookey side. Fish and chips were a bid on the greasy side. The vegan cheesecake was ok, but needed a bit sweetness. Beer was good and the fish tacos were good as well.

Slow service, rotten lettuce and berries (salad in a bag) cold prawn, waiter didn't listen to orders so drinks wrong and kids dinner wrong.. very dissapointed considering the place has a line up.. thought it was good food nope only a good view of hair and sweaty backs against the glass 8" from your face :(

Stopped yesterday for lunch and can say that the staff and management here at Salty's has done an amazing job reopening and giving superior service and quality food.
The waitresses and host staff are very polite courteous and professional.
Our waitress Shawnice was amazing, great personality and gave top notch service. Thank you to everyone there at Salty's for an awesome and amazing atmosphere considering our new normal.

Oysters weren't shuck properly and had big pieces of shell. Ordered two kinds and the premium ones were good but the "regular " were very small and tasted quite off. I ordered a main with garlic mashed potatoes as a side and was brought white plain rice instead as "they had run out of mashed potatoes". If the server would have advised, I would have chosen a different dish. Overall a poor experience.

Don't recommend at all. Overpriced and small portion. You are better off the Mexican place right beside it for a healthy and savoury dinner. The fish taco was more of a salad taco as barely any fish made it in. The oyster were so milky and just not good(can't blame the restaurant as we coulnt find any decent oyster in this time of the year)
