First time here. Nice and airy lobby and good theatre for the ballet. Fairly easy access bit a bit of a walk (or run) from the nearest tubes. Leave enough time. Seems many people didn't! :-)

The premier home of British dance with great sightlines and a lovely auditorium and cafe and bars. Saw Vamos Cuba there which was a wold premiere and an example of the innovative, ground breaking work Sadler's Wells creates. If you love contemporary dance then you will love Sadler's Wells and so do I. Hope to return there soon. PS. By the way the nearby Niche restaurant offers a great pre-theatre menu and is just on the doorstep of the theatre. Only drawback is my wife wasn't allowed to take her coffee into the auditorium where cold drinks were fine.

A specific theater for dance shows, modern and with good visibility from almost all places. A little away from the center of London, it goes well by subway but when I left and asked in which direction the Theater was I did not know anyone and according to Google it was 375 meters

Technical issue half way through second act of The Red Shoes meant an unexpected break in the narrative that took us completely out of the story. No explanation beyond a technical issue was offered. Apart from that, lovely venue, excellent service and wonderful performance. Hopefully there'll be nothing goes wrong at The Nutcracker next year.

Staff friendly and helpful. Seating comfortable. Good sight lines to the stage. I am not as tall as I could be so it's nice to have seating that's well raked and arranged so you can see the performance and not the person Infront of you.

Sadler wells is one of my favourite theatres. It's a historic place - ever since the eponymous Mr Sadler started entertaining visitors to his wells 300 years ago. Lillian Baylis is behind the modern theatre. She started the famous vic-wells ballet back in the 30s, which grew into the Royal Ballet. The old Sadler wells opera likewise grew into English national opera, now at the coliseum. The current building is the 4th or 5th on the site and is a rather nice mid-sized theatre with all mod cons, and splendid sight lines from all seats. These days it's established itself as a specialist dance theatre; no resident company but it hosts an eclectic mix of dance companies from all over the world. The Birmingham royal ballet remembers it's old home and is a regular visitor. Currently (Jan 20) hosting Matthew Bourne. If you're interested in dance give the wells a visit!

The social class which fills this place is far above average and yet anyone is accepted with open arms and is made to feel in with the crowd. I recently watched a show called betroffenheit which was about a middle aged man trying to cope with the expirence of losing his child. It was stunning. The show was conducted with the up most respect for the actors who were trying to share this personal moment with the audience. The interval between the show gave a chance to talk about the amazing expirence of the first half of the performance as well as drink alcoholic beverages and dig into a nice selection of ice cream. Hope your experience can be as good as mine.

Sadlers Wells is one of my favourite places in London. I never have a bad time here. They are leading the way showcasing outstanding and cutting edge dance from across the world. I discovered some my favourite choreographers here. Always looking forward to the next show.

What is wrong with this theatre that people wearing there casual clothes?? I never seen anything like this in any other place. What funny policy is that? Theatre is a place where u must look elegant - also for respect of the artist performing there- not wear jeans or heavy boots - I was disgusted!

Went to see Lest We Forget. An amazing journey through the horrors of WW1. The pain, the horror, the futility, the abandonment of hope all conveyed in an emotionally charged production. Atmosphere startling and engrossing. I cried.

Matthew Bourne - The Red Shoes is another work of creative genius. Excellent venue and lovely cafe with decent food to fill or light refreshments/beverages next to the Lillian Baylis Theatre
