Very good ballet sound and lighting great. Could do better with more ladies toilets.
Modern venue, easy to get too, fabulous shows and very helpful, pleasant staff. Need to go at least once in your life!
Great venue. Fabulous ballet. Tea and coffee reasonably priced at downstairs bar.
Great venue. Local parking and brilliant production of Red Shoes. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon
A magnificent experience. The ballet was fantastic, moving, funny sometimes and especially magical. This room is superb and the reception very nice.
Saw some great varied performances here. Nice crowds, nothing pretentious. Spacious seating.
Excellent and modern interpretation of Swan Lake. Enthusiastic audience and full.
One of the best venues in London for dance and avant-garde performances. Not a bad seat in the house.
First time here. Nice and airy lobby and good theatre for the ballet. Fairly easy access bit a bit of a walk (or run) from the nearest tubes. Leave enough time. Seems many people didn't! :-)
Home of performing arts. Sweltering in there today, could do with air conditioning being on more frequently.
The premier home of British dance with great sightlines and a lovely auditorium and cafe and bars. Saw Vamos Cuba there which was a wold premiere and an example of the innovative, ground breaking work Sadler's Wells creates. If you love contemporary dance then you will love Sadler's Wells and so do I. Hope to return there soon. PS. By the way the nearby Niche restaurant offers a great pre-theatre menu and is just on the doorstep of the theatre. Only drawback is my wife wasn't allowed to take her coffee into the auditorium where cold drinks were fine.
A specific theater for dance shows, modern and with good visibility from almost all places. A little away from the center of London, it goes well by subway but when I left and asked in which direction the Theater was I did not know anyone and according to Google it was 375 meters
Really good theatre, friendly employees, prices are not that expensive for snack and drink and tickets are really good.
They offer various show which will make sure you can come and see something you like
it's big, new, with great view of watching show even sitting at the last row of the third floor
Great place service was very efficient and courteous.
From I like to I love ballets- a venue you need to go. High end performances of dance.
One of my favourite theatres to go to! Highly recommend it.
A great variety of performance arts of the highest standard. Last saw the Alvin Ailey Dance Company there.
This is always such a great venue with fantastic vibrant shows.
We saw the swan lake. What can I say apart from it being beautiful. If you want to have a great date you need to take him or her here.
Absolutely fantastic. Good value at the bar and cloakroom in basement
Technical issue half way through second act of The Red Shoes meant an unexpected break in the narrative that took us completely out of the story. No explanation beyond a technical issue was offered. Apart from that, lovely venue, excellent service and wonderful performance. Hopefully there'll be nothing goes wrong at The Nutcracker next year.
Great venue phenomenal shows. Never been disappointed
It is my first theater visited in London and I have sincerely been impressed.
Spectacular site.
The home of Dance. Lots of amazing performances happen here. Excellent facilities but quite a few stairs.
A wonderful venue with a varied programme of dance encompassing all genres. Welcoming staff and a great building make this a pleasure to visit.
Was there for an event. A lot of different spaces to keep an talk.
Friendly staff
Great venue. Easy access. Plenty of toilets for women.... no queuing.
My favourite place in London for dance shows. High quality productions and a great variety of shows shown. Highly recommend!
Always a wonderful experience to see anything at this theatre
Staff friendly and helpful. Seating comfortable. Good sight lines to the stage. I am not as tall as I could be so it's nice to have seating that's well raked and arranged so you can see the performance and not the person Infront of you.
Very reasonable price to pay for tickets to see so many talented dancers and performers in a great theatre. Go see something here it's so worth it.
Sadler wells is one of my favourite theatres. It's a historic place - ever since the eponymous Mr Sadler started entertaining visitors to his wells 300 years ago. Lillian Baylis is behind the modern theatre. She started the famous vic-wells ballet back in the 30s, which grew into the Royal Ballet. The old Sadler wells opera likewise grew into English national opera, now at the coliseum. The current building is the 4th or 5th on the site and is a rather nice mid-sized theatre with all mod cons, and splendid sight lines from all seats. These days it's established itself as a specialist dance theatre; no resident company but it hosts an eclectic mix of dance companies from all over the world. The Birmingham royal ballet remembers it's old home and is a regular visitor. Currently (Jan 20) hosting Matthew Bourne. If you're interested in dance give the wells a visit!
The social class which fills this place is far above average and yet anyone is accepted with open arms and is made to feel in with the crowd. I recently watched a show called betroffenheit which was about a middle aged man trying to cope with the expirence of losing his child. It was stunning. The show was conducted with the up most respect for the actors who were trying to share this personal moment with the audience. The interval between the show gave a chance to talk about the amazing expirence of the first half of the performance as well as drink alcoholic beverages and dig into a nice selection of ice cream. Hope your experience can be as good as mine.
The BEST afternoon at Sadlwrs Wells seeing Matthew Bournes Romeo and Juliet. Stunning fabulous thought provoking masterclass.
Amazing Flamenco show, lovely modern theatre! I definitely recommend it
The theater was built to hold dance shows. Recommended for lovers of modern dance.
Open, spacious, comfortable, modern theatre with good views from the back of the circle (where we sat). It was a bit cold in December so bundle up!
Sadlers Wells is one of my favourite places in London. I never have a bad time here. They are leading the way showcasing outstanding and cutting edge dance from across the world. I discovered some my favourite choreographers here. Always looking forward to the next show.
i visit sadlers wells several times a year for dance shows. The show afre always varied and the atmosphere great. All seats in the auditorium offer great views and the accoustics are excellent. There is also a very good 20 percent off offer on 2 or more shows
A beautiful performance space for contemporary dance. Really reasonably priced tickets too!
Performance wise obviously can be spectacular, facilities, comfort & vibe not so much
I am watching Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. Fantastic. Also watch out for the classics such as The Nutcracker, and Swan lake.
Great international dance. One of the main dance stages of Europe.
London's premier dance venue, always packed with passioate people. Very expensive drinks, and not very interesting wines though.
Lovely small theatre. Great production of Matt Bournes Swan Lake.
My son preformed here at the weekend it was a great venue and he / we enjoyed it.
Here's a picture of the Famous Sadler well for everyone who can't get there to view it. Your welcome.
Good family theatre, a lot of extraordinary and modern programs
The most favourite theatre with modern ballet performances.
A beautiful modern theatre in the heart of London, most seats have incredible view (with the occasional balcony blocking the top view)
Must go place if you love contemporary dance performances!
What is wrong with this theatre that people wearing there casual clothes?? I never seen anything like this in any other place. What funny policy is that? Theatre is a place where u must look elegant - also for respect of the artist performing there- not wear jeans or heavy boots - I was disgusted!
Fantastic venue. Great performances. I go at least every other month. New app to order drinks for the interval is a great addition and takes the pressure off!
Saw Tanguera and it was amazing. Theatre itself was clean, staff helpful and easy to get around. Was able to take bottle wine to seats, always a plus.
A really nice theatre very vibrant and energetic the show which was performed by Rambert was breathtaking highly recommend this theatre
The mecca for things dance. Haven't been for ages and enjoyed Sir Matthew's Swan Lake enormously.
Went to see Lest We Forget. An amazing journey through the horrors of WW1. The pain, the horror, the futility, the abandonment of hope all conveyed in an emotionally charged production. Atmosphere startling and engrossing. I cried.
Nice, modern building with drinks on multiple floors and lots of interesting visiting performers.
Matthew Bourne - The Red Shoes is another work of creative genius. Excellent venue and lovely cafe with decent food to fill or light refreshments/beverages next to the Lillian Baylis Theatre
