Saw my first ballet performance here (which it turns out isn't for me!) but the venue was good, the staff were helpful, it is modern and not too expensive for drinks. Would visit again.

We went there for a flamenco festival. We had amazing seats at the balcony on the side. It is a great venue.

Great variety of dance styles, good seating, not cheap but worth it

Easy to get to and from, public transport right on their doorstep. Aircon was on as it was a hot day so we all stayed cool. Lovely ice cream and quite comfy chairs.

A delightful modern theatre in a very pleasant part of London. The facilities were clean and tidy, the staff very pleasant and helpful. The theatre itself was clean, comfortable and well setout. The sound system and stage lighting was very good making the experience delightful.
I also liked the drinks area which served efficiently. The downsides were lack of parking, more to do with London and no real food being served. Overall very nice and would go again.

It was a very interesting dance show, where we got to tell the dancers what we thought of their performance!

Great theatre, really great acoustics and usually a great selection of more contemporary works. The bar is reasonable and the general facilities are super.

Such a wonderful afternoon watching Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake.

A wonderful theatre venue with good bars and relaxed diner. Every seat has a good view and legroom is just about OK.

Loved the red shoes!! Matthew Bourne came on stage at the end which hasn't happened before made it really special.

Good sight lines and leg room and some excellent ballet.

it's an excellent theatre (with it's own water supply). No idea how they came up with the name though.

Nice theatre... massive stage .. easy access. About 10 mins walk from angel tube station

It's really a nice theater. The place is comfortable. The view is really good even in the top raw (the cheapest). People are nice. I suggest it!

Great theatre with affordable prices and a well stocked bar

I have been several times as I like performs and I have to say it has always been a great experience. This venue got something special, something really charming. It might be that it is not a massive place, located not right in the centre of London and offering high quality performs acts. That mix is for me must great.

Great quality shows, we are always very pleased and have a great time. If you like contemporary dance, this is the place to go in London!

There is always some kind of dance or stage. The viewing fee is cheap and recommended

The ballet was magical! Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake a masterpiece in entertainment. Sadler's Wells only a short walk from Angel station. and loads of local restaurants to choose from

The studios were great and spacious. But the toilets were on different floor and that made difficult to be on time after a break from the workshop.

Went for a day event organised by my work. Grumpy staff, wifi didn't work, and very poor vegan or vegetarian lunch options.

Nice theatre for musicals and plays. Nice location as well.

whether you like classical, moder or contemporary dance you will find your favourite show in the Sadler's well programme.. they always have the best dance companies and also the shows the do for children either at the sadler's well or the peacock theatre are fantastic.
If you have children I really recommend The Snowman ballet .. it is magical.. the music and the dancing is exquisite.. just remember to book a few months in advance as it is always very popular

Sadler's Wells, never disappoint. Definitely an institution on the London performance scene. Particularly good up combine with dinner on Exmouth Market with many good restaurants to choose from.

Gorgeous venue with a superb programme including a Matthew Bourne ballet every Christmas season. Very conveniently located for Angel and Farringdon tubes.

Not fond of this theatre , too modern and it feels like a cinema instead of a traditional theatre, the decco is modern too.

World class ballet, dance and music, in a venue fit for it! Great acoustics and sightlines. Also well stocked bar with thought through range of wines.

Wonderful modern venue, the seats we had offered an amazing view of the dancers on stage.

My daughter and I saw Romeo and Juliet here. The dancing was first class and we had a lovely evening.

The dance house of London. A well appointed modern theatre that presents leading dance companies from around the world.
There is not a bad seat in the house.

World renowed dance theatre! Great, modern building in lovely Angel/Islington. Love their shows and go there regularly to see Pina Bausch group.

Cool, modern theater. Big enough to not feel too crowded, small enough to feel intimate. It does get toasty in the auditorium. We saw Bourne's Swan Lake and were blown away.

Great entertainment space with a range of impressive, internationally worthy productions. Bars on site (but the only beer available is a choice of three boring lagers - get some bottled ale!). Expensive and dull looking sandwiches available.

My old friend took me to see a fantastic dance group at Sadler's Wells Theatre this afternoon. I was spellbound. The dancers and dancing was absolutely amazing.

I have been here many times for last 20 years.
Rambert, Mattew Bourne's swan lake, Little Match Girl, flamenco , some group I do not remember, I saw many...
I like the main theatre as well as the small theatre next to the stage door and canteen.
One year we came for open day for children and family, that was a fun day, we made some shade pictures and a small screen print and had a story telling about Icarus and the large maize.
The canteen is ok. It tend to be a bit crowded and difficult to find a table, so I do not go there often when visited, but there are many cafes nearby between the theatre and Angel underground station ( starbacks, EAT, pret).
I like this theatre, because it is good access from Angel station, ( easy to walk, not much traffic), also ticket prices tend to be a bit lower than major large theatre in West End. There are many experimental or new dance shows shown here so it is good to be open minded when you choose the show to go to see. I enjoyed a one of show in the flamenco festival, with experimental music and a flamenco dancer was very impressive as well as beatiful singing. It all came with a fraction of a price of a major show.

Great transport links with busses outside the theatre.

A great venue, famous for dance performance, we went to see the Oddissi dance curated as part of Dsnbar Festival by Arkham Khan. Delightful.

Every show is a knockout...interesting at the very least, brilliant mostly.

It is a good performance venue that hosts amazing artists as well as random lower-quality entertainment. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Sadler's Wells has the one and only Matthew Bourne and his inimitable shows. One of my favourite things to do for the winter holidays is to watch one of his shows. :-)

One of the best theatres in London with great unobstructed views, bars that serve you quickly and comfortable seats.

Impressively over priced food and drinks.
Food sub average.
But great contemporary dance calendar.

Lovely performing arts venue. Easily accessible. Size of the auditorium means you will never be seated very far from the stage. Friendly staff. Lots of good places for good drink nearby.

I went with a friend to see the new Swan Lake and it was beautiful. I loved the venue, and the staff were very helpful.

A lovely theatre a great performance of Matthew Bourne s production of The Red Shoes at The Saddlers Well. Had great views of the stage from the seats and amazing show.

A top class venue in London putting on most interesting shows and events.
