Imagine the Miami skyline in view while dining in the Rusty Pelican, this is the place to be upscale and the ambiance...a dream but reality! We enjoyed the roast beef with salad and pasta, awesome!
Excellent! Sunday afternoon was crowded but the service was still great. The view is unique and the menu towards the seafood corner but they have some other alternatives. Their drinks are great and the desserts are worth to try.
We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the service could not have been better with just the right amount of communication with our server, which contributed to the evening. I do take my wine, but their wine list was excellent!

Don t know what people see so special about this restaurant. The only thing I liked was the view to the water! And boats. Other than that i have eaten much better for way less. I asked for a filet mignon looked like burnt chicken breast. For all the fame it has it s not a big deal.
Beautiful views, and good food. Although I wasnt too happy with my snapper, the orzo and snapper were just too sweet. I would've liked something a little sour to balance it, but that wasnt a deal breaker for me.

Seated outside and the view is stunning but service was absolutely terrible all night. 1 order of drinks took more than 2 hours. Waiter responded that the bar was very busy but they would get the drinks out immediately. After almost another hour of waiting I walked in and found the bar area to be empty and proceeded to order which took all of 5 minutes for the 6 to be made. A little more than an hour after this our waiter finally got around to our table and brought the drink order from earlier in the night. Our food came out very late with huge gaps between the 5 courses. Most dishes came out incorrectly made or poorly done. We never got our desert and it seems like the bill getting to our table took the least amount of time out of the entire event. The silver lining is the view being so great but that doesn't make up for the lack of service or poor food quality.

We got married here a year ago and figured we would come back every year going forward to celebrate our anniversary. For the reservation, I made a note that we were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary hoping for some type of recognition, but we didn t even get a happy anniversary from the host nor the waiter. For the price we paid to eat here the service did not match up. We will be selecting a different location to celebrate going forward. Rusty you let us down!

Wow, this is honestly the best restaurant I have ever been to. Last time we came to Florida we came here and this time we had to come back again. The views are spectacular, the food is AMAZING. Make sure to ask for the cornbread because it s the best thing I have ever had. You have the Miami skyline behind you and the lunch and brunch are amazing! Wow 5/5 forever

Food was excellent. Top of the line! I give them three starts because our waiter was super rude all night. We asked for water and without asking he brought us two expensive bottles of water. We asked for a dessert and he totally forgot about it. We had to wait more than 15 min for a chocolate cake. At the end of the night he didn t even explain the bill, he was in a hurry and he marked a super expensive tip that we wouldn t have chosen. We ended up paying $40 tip for a really bad service.
Only the place serves, today wait for more than an hour for lunch, with prices out of the ordinary, for two spaquetis k they had hardly any hard means and two small lobster tail, and fried breaded squid re-fried rather burned and two copies of mimosa, we paid $ 179.28, an exaggeration of money for a place that does not even have tablecloths on the table, first time and I am not going anymore that is useless I do not recommend it to anyone ...
Such a disappointment! Food has never been great here but this time was BAD! I had a great brunch experience. Megan was an amazing bartender and you can't beat this view. The crab cake benedict was one of the best benedicts I've ever had. I recommend sitting at the bar, everyone who works here is attentive and friendly.

I went here for my friends birthday Sunday August 30th and did not even make it to our table because the hostess was so rude. We made a reservation for 3:15 and arrived about 10 minutes behind. We tried to call the restaurant multiple times to see if they would still honor our reservation but the phone rang. Upon arriving I told one lady behind the counter we were here for our reservation and she informed me rudely that there was a line I told her because there was a drunk man in front of me engaging with the hostess and time was passing. When we got to the hostess she said that we could either sit at a table in the sun or wait 45 mins for a table. We told her that we wanted to make bottomless mimosas so we wouldn t mind. She then incessantly tried to convince us not to sit in the sun which was very weird to us and made it seem as if she didn t want us there. We mentioned we were celebrating a birthday in lieu of her being difficult and she said a lot of other people are here to celebrate their birthdays. She mentioned multiple times how late we were very loudly. She then told us that the restaurant was full dining as if we had not planned to eat there. The atmosphere felt very discriminatory. Upon trying to calmly reason with her she was speaking loudly so everyone in line could hear her asking me if I wanted to talk to a manager because I was holding up the line as if we were having a confrontation. It felt embarrassing and like she singled my friend and I, two black women out. After this I left because this encounter was extremely disappointing, and embarrassing. We waited two hours for this reservation all to not eat because of the horrible experience.

Excellent restaurant with unique views. Elaborate dishes and very good. Generous amounts, but, apart from expensive prices or in line with the type of cuisine, I did not like two details: they offer us to drink sangria that is not on the menu so we do not know the price and then they charge us 55 $ for the jar. More expensive than the most expensive dish we ordered. And they do not have guest WiFi. As a tip, I'll say it's better to eat inside and go out alone to take pictures because the mosquitoes eat you on the terrace. It would be nice if they put citronella candles

Second time I came here after an amazing first time.
The experience was way different this time, our waiter forgot to give the spoons with the dish, then we received the main course right after the starter and the food was cold, probably held on the pass for too long, so we sent it back and it came back without forks and knives, we had to ask for it again.
However the food was still pretty good apart from this but clearly the experience was not as good as the first time
Rusty Pelican back then was a 5 star restaurant, today it is not even close to how it used to be. The service and food is the worse. It is extremely overpriced and I would not recommend this to anyone.

My husband surprised me by taking me here. We've been coming to this restaurant for over 40 years. It has changed plenty over the years. Today the food, lobster risotto was very good. Only BIG complaint, the waiter forgot it was my bday 10 minutes after my husband told him. He brought out a simple dessert. No mention of my bday. My husband had to remind him AGAIN, by then it wasn't a surprise. The restaurant looks very modern. Personally I liked it much better when it had a nautical look. I miss their "Pelican Salad" prepared tableside.

The worst service I ever had . The waiter was rude, racist and disrespectful, it's a shame that they have people like that working in a place with such a beautiful view. I don t recommend this restaurant to anyone.
I arrived at the restaurant at 7 something in the evening. We were waiting for the rest of the party because our reservation was coming up. We were sat after a while. Once seated, we ordered our food instantly which was about 8:45pm. We re a party of 15-16 and I understand that it s a large party but it seems like the server never really put in our orders. He approached us at 10pm and stated that something went wrong with the kitchen and that he had to re do our orders. That story was definitely not true. The server started to take our orders again, and of course some of us just cancelled our orders because we had to wait another 30 min after being sat for about 2 hrs. The service was horrible. No apologies were given, no manager stepped in, nothing. I ve worked in the restaurant industry before and this is not how you carry situations like this. I understand that sometimes things can happen, but this was just horrible. 2 hrs, no food, food had to be reordered, no apologies, no managers......nothing.

Monday, October 1, 2018, my birthday. Picked the Rusty Pelican, for lunch, mainly because I wanted to test my new camera on the skyline of Miami. The last time I went to the Rusty Pelican they were closed for renovations. Really surprised when I arrived because it looked spectacular with an all new modern look. I particularly liked the way they displayed their wine in huge separate temperature controlled glass enclosures.
The manager happened to be at the front desk when we walked in and he was very cordial as he showed us to one of the best tables in the place. There is no restaurant in Miami that has a better view of the city.
I ordered a cheeseburger made from 3 or 4 different cuts of beef and my wife ordered a Grouper sandwich, both were 5 star. The service by our waiter, Leo was also perfect.
On the way out I asked the person at the front desk if she knew what temperature the wine was in the glass enclosures. She didn't know but she said she would get me the answer.
Within a few seconds she returned with the manager who had seated us. He gave me a complete accounting of the temperatures at which they stored the different wines. The reds, for instance were stored at 55 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit, not at Miami room temperature like many restaurants in Miami.
As we left we went to the second floor and I got my skyline picture of Miami.
