The store was clean, the employees were very friendly and quick to help. While I didn't find one particular item I was looking for they had something even better. I like this store for it's location as I travel by bus and the buses drop and pick you up right in front of this store. I've been here before and will always come back to shop.

I've been to several Home Depots in the past with my dog and he was more than welcome to come along. This particular Home Depot chose to turn me and my well-behaved pup away. Not to worry, my home improvement business went to Lowe's instead, where my dog was greeted happily by the staff. :)

Staffs are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic service.

The best place and one-stop for your all home needs and repairs. Also have a great collection of car stuff like cleaners, mats and more. the best tools I have bought are from here. These guys are awesome and help you in every possible way they can. Would love to just visit them anytime.

The manager Pat Kilroy there was rude and I saw him raising his voice at a few of the employees

For virtually every need I have for electrical, plumbing, construction, or hardware supplies or tools, The Home Depot is where I go. It is _extremely_ rare that the need isn't satisfied.

They used to be great but service has deteriorated tremendously. Not enough staff who care. During my last visit employee actually responded with "I dont know" and walked away. Think I will start going to Lowes.

Was in there 5 minutes got the light bulbs and I was gone.....

Whenever you call this place they take 1 whole hr to answer the phone... kmt. Too much people work here for one to wait for 1 hr for them to pick up the phone.

This Home Depot has very friendly customer service.
Their flower selection is enormous. The young man at at paint department, he went beyond to match our color. He explained all the different paint brands. He gave us options and great alternatives. We had a difficult color to find and he made a way to find it and He made our day. Thank you so much

Their checkout system is very confusing. And I don't understand which Lane is self checkout or not.

As usual. The employees are clueless. When looking at the floor leveling compound in tile I was asked if I needed help?
Yes. I'm looking for the liquid latex for bonding..
I was told aisle 3 which is paint.
Wrong.
I looked by tile again. Found one last bottle that was opened and had to buy it because the similar product in concrete was sold out.

This store has put away my cart load and so much more.
I go to Lowe's more often because of this.
I could go on .

Could be even awesome if they give extra credit to residents

I prefer this HD to the one on Lincoln and Devon. Friendlier staff and larger selection.

This is by far the best home depot experience I had in past 5 years. Every employee here is very nice and helpful. I will definitely come back here in the future.

Home depot has just about everything you need for the home. Their prices are middle of the road when it compares to lowes and menards. I find the help and knowledge not as good as lowes but every home depot has 2 or 3 employees that really knows their stuff.

Home Depot is improving its customer service and Checkout process. More and more items are now...made in China. HD offers board cutting which is a big help if you have a small car.

They are very responsible with how they are handling Covid 19, but go early and on an off day if able. They never let it get crowded with people counting how many shoppers are in the store, but the line goes many times wrapped around on a Saturday Morning.

In the same morning, I received great customer service from Frank on flooring, then walked over to the washing machines and received the worst customer service. An older lady (didn't capture her name) immediately started greeting other people when she found out I wasn't making a purchase that day. If she thinks she'll get the sale later, she's mistaken. She clearly needs to be retrained.

No line or waiting at Home Depot, Evanston, IL and they had everything I needed! Great customer service. Thank you.

I have an hour wait and four people take care of me take care of me in this store

I went to cement dept. Seeking quickcrete for a job @ our church i had measurements and tried to get an employee to see if he could help me with square footage, he directed me to the desk by construction materials and ask a young woman to Google for my square footage like me she didn't know how to go about it so she asked a coworker (male hispanic wearing a brownish baseball cap) to help get that imfo.
Rudely he responded twice that he didn't know my square footage and kept messing with his cell. I told first associate that I'll try to figure it out and I decided to leave.

If you buy something at the store and want to return it after a month or so they won't take it back if they do not have at store anymore even if they have it online. Took me 40 minutes to return something i bought. Sad...

If you want to get some help from anyone, please be prepared to wait indefinitely. With an appointment, you get to wait half an hour, and without an appointment, one hour plus. You might have to call them within the store to get somebody.
I wanted to replace my patio door at my place. After making an appointment online, I went there and got to wait half an hour to talk to a human being. Then they placed an order for a measurement, which took a few days only to make an appointment. After the measurement, I receive an email, and I was told that somebody at Home Depot will be in touch. No calls whatsoever after days. I called them multiple times in order to make selections for my patio door. I was told no appointment necessary, and when I actually went there, there was no one and of course I had to spend an hour calling for an associate. One of the associates brought Kev, I recall that is the name of the manager, and he started complaining his workers leaving for the day early. Moreover he is certainly not helpful at all. Hal was decent helping me making choices for the patio door, even though at the end his effort become in vain.
Hal told me that I will get a phone call to confirm my choices and get a quote. For a week, no calls or emails. A week later, I receive an email from "SCOTT", NOT a phone call, that has a quote for a patio door. Of course the quote contains NONE of my choices that I had previously made, and the value was a lot more than what I had before. Surely I am not going to have Home Depot replace my patio door. I wanted to call SCOTT to yell at him for an absurd quote, but at this point I don't think that doing so will make me feel better.
For sure I will not give any of my project to Home Depot, and even though I went there time to time to purchase parts and tools for my project, but I will refrain from going to Home Depot for those as well.

Got several plants from there and they are thriving. Very happy.

No longer lets dogs into the store unless they're service animals (apparently someone was bit). Even though home depot normally allows dogs in. Workers expected me to leave my dog in the hot car while I did a simple return. My older dog just laid there and didn't bother anyone. People even came up to pet him and magically everyone survived...good dog.

How do you further describe Home Depot!? Great store with everything you need for your home.

4:30 pm and only self checkout is open? Poor woman. She asked for help multiple times. Maybe emplyees setting up Christmas displays on 10/5 could be done after hours.

The first guy I asked where I could find duct tape sent me to the far end of the store, when in fact it was right next to us. Also, silver tape can only be found on one of the end caps, but NOT in the duct tape section itself!

Good prices and a very wide selection of items. Cheaper than Amazon if you go to the store yourself. I use the website to fill my cart first. This helps locate the aisle and bay where you can find your item. You can also have your order ready for pick up if you prefer.

I like the store in general.
It is always well ordered.

[edit] I left this review three years ago, and I still stand by it. I am so fed up with their customer service I came on here to leave a bad review, only to discover that apparently I'd already left one five years ago.

Still the worst. It's like a ghost town, and if you try calling them, you'll be transferred five times because nobody knows what's going on.

This is my spot right here you can find everything you need if you're crafty this is a great place to go to get what you need staff are nice and very helpful

I just left your Home Depot managed by Mama Joy. I purchased an air humidifier, unfortunately when I got home put it together and filled the large tank I then noticed a major piece was missing. I wasn't sure what piece was missing I just knew it wasn't working right. I came back to your store to find out what I needed. Mama joy was not only concerned but extremely gracious and sweet about the whole interaction. I really wish more company leaders could take a lesson from Mama Joy! I will keep coming to the Home Depot on Oakton. Thanks Mama Joy keep on smilin'

Very organized, what I love about Home Depot how each and every employee know which Aisle and which side the item is. Thank you to all employees of Home Depot to make it easy for us.

By far my go to store for any house projects you might have in mind.There is always helpful stuff who are eager to explain steps you need to undertake in an order to accomplish desired results.

It's a disappointment to have to go out into the parking lot and find a cart in order to buy stuff

There is so much to look at, materials are in abundance and variety, tools for any job, and knowledgeable employees on hand in every department
