Worst customer help. There seem to always be customers waiting on cuts or if you need help in general at the isle there on something or break. Been shopping here for over 18 yrs customers service getting worse.

The visit today was OK. Needed help with lights and help took a while before we were service but we were helped. I think HD needs to work more on servicing their customer sooner rather than later would have made my experience a little better, hence the rating.

When I asked employees for help finding an item that claimed 2 in stock on their site, I was told that value represented the floor models. When I asked a manager if they would sell me the floor model, they declined on the grounds that they would be getting more in stock.

I recently had to deal with some not so nice representitives on the phone trying to sort out my home depot credit card. I finally went in to the store expecting the worse. Anthony was so helpful. He called and straighted it out right away. From now on I'm not going to buy anything from Home Depot online, they're much friendlier and more helpful in the store

I would give a zero if I had the option! Crooks work here! BEWARE! I put a deposit on a tool rental and the guy there refused to put it on my credit card and made me pay cash only for me to find out that he charged my card too! The guy stole my money and the store refuses to refund me.

My company B&W REMODELING has spend over 1.5 million at The Home Depot in 2012 all over chicagoland ..
The Home Depot located at 2201 is by far the worst home depot ever ..
carts sit outside all wet then my murchendise gets wet and ruined by the time i get to the register ..
There is one register open on a sat when its busy and there is a huge line for about 20min
The person at the register scaned several items twice glad i caught it ..
I asked for help finding something and nobody was working in the hardware departament asked for help twice ..
The items are difficult to find unlike other home depos ..
Im at a Home Depot store every day sometimes a couple times a day and I have never seen a more dirty, unorganized and misguided Home Depot ...

This is, hands down, the best Home Depot I've ever had the experience of shopping at! Every employee I've met has gone over and above to help me while shopping. From Loren, who helped us troubleshoot and made recommendations for our lighting issues, to Michelle in flooring who quickly assisted us when no one was available for appliances, to the gentleman working Asset/LP who helped me in window treatments, all service had been exceptional! After horrible customer service from a competitive appliance company, we selected Home Depot to order and install our range. The delivery team was wonderful as well. Great job HD Evanston!

Don't buy paint here. I like Home Depot low-voc paint, but the service at the paint desk is awful and has been since I starting going there on and off, over a year ago. The same Infuriatingly slow, impolite staff every time. If I didn't have to buy paint to start a job tomorrow, I would have gone somewhere else today after waiting 10 minutes for service, because three staffers where helping one person.

We're doing major updates to our home and I love going to Home Depot. The staff is very nice and helpful. The store is organized well and usually have things in stock. However, I would not advise using their installers. WAY too expensive. Have the items shipped to you or bring it home yourself and call someone else to intall. They wanted to charge me over $5k for installing 2 water heaters that are right next to each other. I called someone else and paid $2k. Otherwise the store is great and products are reasonably priced.

I am extremely disappointed with their service! I was waiting for more than 30 minutes for my shingles because the guy who was supposed to help me didn t bother asking for assistance when he realized he wasn t licensed to get my stuff down. As an entrepreneur, time is money, and this Home Depot made me waste my time!

Home Depot has gotten so bad they don t carry a selection of tools. They got Halloween decorations they got bales of hay they got cleaning supplies they ve got automotive fluid but when you go to find tools you don t get a selection. I was looking for a drill press or a drill guide they have one drill press in the store and no drill guides you have to order that and pick it up in a couple of days. I don t have a couple of days so I m gonna go to Lowe s where they have a selection of more than three drill presses and drill guides so as a consumer I can choose what I want not what Home Depot wants to sell me. Once again the service in the stores has been terrible for years now it s getting to the point where it s not even a home do it yourself center it s turning into a Walmart.

Wonderful I got everything I needed to refresh a bathroom that needed to be done immediately. Also I saw they have giant cutting board kitchen counter top available and I think that looks pretty cool can use them for a variety of different projects

Worst appliance order experience ever!!!

Worst appliance order experience ever!!!
Placed an order online for a dishwasher
1st a 1 week wait time
then, the morning of scheduled delivery I get a voice mail at 7:15 am that there was some "damage" and they will call me in 24 hours with a new expected delivery date.
After calling multiple times I finally find out that it will take at least another week.
No offer to offset for time and trouble or to upgraded and get me something sooner. Nothing.
Then I cancel the order. No confirmation number that I cancelled, thy don't do that I'm told and in 3-5 days I'll see a credit on my card.

1. They can give confirmation numbers for purchases but not for cancellations.
2. They can reach me and contact me many ways, loads of emails, texts, calls all the time when they want to sell me stuff
3. They take money right away for the purchase, even when delivery is scheduled weeks out, but to cancel you have to wait for your money.

Just a horrible experience that really shows that things like personalization and service only work when they want to sell you something. the moment there is a problem, communication is out and service goes out the window.

I don t usually leave reviews for big box stores but this time I will. I was there Jan 19th looking for a large job box which I found But the issue was that the box already had damage on it and I didn t want that one but like usual there was no one in the hardware department at all so I decided to come back in a week or two and this time when I showed up I didn t see any of the boxes but I also saw the price went up and considering I was there last one to buy a good one and no one was there to help me I feel like the store manger should atlest match the price for the inconvenience of me having to show up in a later date due to no help. Welp sadly that store manger wasn t helpful at all and I won t be coming back to the Evanston HD store and making large tool purchases ever again. Price was 49.99 now it s 64.99 also wasn t on sale of any sort as you can see.

Getting actual help in this store is almost impossible. It seems like this place is really understaffed and needs more people. I am constantly roaming looking for someone and when they do call someone - they are nowhere to be found. The whole place looks pretty deserted. They may as well shut the doors and turn the whole place into a warehouse and allow pickup and returns and ordering only online or via kiosk. It is fun wandering around
