Excellent quality. Moderate prices. Customer service is low to fair.

Home Depot is the first place I go for all my home maintenance and improvements needs. Finding someone to help you can be hit or miss, but usually when I go there, I know what I want. Their selection and display of home products is the biggest in the area. The prices are reasonable. If you can't find what you are looking for here, they either don't make it or it is too old that you need to go on the internet to find it.

Saturday morning, not a soul working doors and windows (after 20 minutes of waiting for Scott then Diana to come... The people the front desk told us would come to help... We are told nobody worked that department until 1 on Saturdays) no manager around to help either. This is why we normally go to Lowe's .

Love Home Depot. My addiction! The stuff is well informed and always willing to help you with anything.

Went to pick up a online order. Great location. Had 5 employees all offer to get me a shopping cart and offer to load my shelving unit in my car. Love this store.

The man in appliances was very rude. After we found out what we wanted wasn t in stock they were still advertising it as though it was, there wasn t even a sign on the floor model saying it was not available. We asked customer service to issue a Rain Check. We were told they DO NOT ISSUE RAIN CHECKS. That s not right.

I came for closet doors, and the last time I was here they had a great selection. I guess in the days of online shopping going to the store isn't feasible any more, because they only had shelf space for a few door models this time and half of them were out of stock.

Find it here!!! Price point is spot on. You pay up but the quality is so much better than the other chains. Get some!

I'm a key tech there( not by home Depot but I work for a different company) and co workers are nice. Sometimes the customers can be toxic though.

Great customer service. Representatives asking if I needed anything all around the store.

Just needed a latch strike. An employee helped me find it. I did self checkout and had trouble entering my email and another employee was helpful.

We went there yesterday to have some cabinet for our new business and we purchased 300$ value cabinet. We also bought some other staff but one of the item we got that was not what we needed. We did not release cabinet of the doors were opening to the other side and we wanted to return. We ripped of cardboard because that was not easy to carry and we did not like it. While we carrying we did 2 little scratch nothing crazy and they did not want to take it back. We were using the Home Depot for long time but after this incident we won't be using in future. With a little bit fixable scratch we had to leave from the store and left the cabinet there. Manager was saying they do have a right to accept return or not accept to return of the product. We decided to leave the cabinet right in front of the customer service and leave from the store. I felt like i just throw 300$ to the streets and that was not nice. I wish they would even try to help us and offer something to fix this. We will not go there again for any kind of staff and cancel the our membership with them. The experience we have with their manager that was not professional and we really disappointed. I wish they would at least offer something and we would posted some good reviews for them.

Never stop improving! Great home center. If you first find the item you need on their app and it s in stock, the app will tell you what aisle and bay location that item is in. Very helpful. I always find what I need. Folks at the tool rental center are very friendly too.

I only needed to get an air filter. The checkout clerk was very friendly and made sure that I didn't need anything else

Went there to rent a truck. Decided that I was uncomfortable driving a vehicle that did not have a rear view mirror. They let me cancel the reservation for only a $7 fee. Discussed with me better options for the future, such as renting a flat bed.

I'm a contractor and I do daily shopping here. If they don't have an item they help me find it. I buy 90% of my tools from them because I like their policy that if something is ever bad with an item they will gladly replac ? Or let you return/refund. They always try to help and keep the customer happy

I went for a 10 ft galvanized pipe and I got a 10 foot galvanized pipe. It only took me 5 minutes to find somebody to help me and another three minutes to cash out.

Found item that I was looking for, but asked for help from said person (who was supposed to help), and got none. Figured out on my own, thank you very much, HOME DEPOT.

There are a lot of house remodeling things there as well as heaters too

It is a smaller Home Depot but has a great selection. And a wonderful staff. Home Depot is always great about their return policies.

Had such wonderful help from Judy Huppert at the Oakton store. Such a gem! She helped add a lot of flair to our projects and her suggestions changed everything for the better. Have returned to ask her advice and project guidance and our projects continue! Definitely returning to this store and wonderful employee!

I used their express lockers for the first time and made my shopping experience much more efficient.
I bought a drill online using the Home Depot app and received a text when my purchase was ready for pick up. Quick. It was only 30 minutes later and they had my order ready on a busy Sunday. I received a numerical code to enter into the locker screen, the locker opened and I got my drill. Fast.
Usually there are multiple helpful associate that will answer your question and take you to the product in question.

I found everything I needed and the prices were great.. I will finish my house project with the best...The Home Depot

A typical home depot. Nothing fancy. The service is here what you would expect. Always nice and it never feels too busy.

I had a terrible experience with the flooring department at the Evanston location.

I purchased a special order of hardwood floors for my new condo about 6 weeks ago. My plan was to get the floors done before moving in. I called the flooring department several times while I was waiting for my order to get an update or estimated day/time of delivery, but I never got a call back from the people in charge at the flooring department. Not even once in 3 weeks. So, I had to call the manager of the store to complain and to get an update. Luckily, the manager was very helpful that time and I was able to get me some assistance.

When the order finally arrived 4 weeks later, I got a call that morning that the driver was on his way to deliver it. Mind you, the reason why I was calling to get an update is because I was staying about 1.5 hours away with my sister. Well, I had to rush to the city the meet the driver 2 hours later. I feel bad that the driver had to wait, I was really trying to avoid that by asking the store with a day/time window of delivery.

You'd think that was the end of my frustration, right? No. Well, a week later when the contractor was able to begin installation, they realized there was something wrong with my order. The vendor sent 2 diff colors of floors, so the 5 weeks I had waited for this order to arrive and be installed were all wasted. On top of that, the flooring department at home depot, was trying to convince me that sometimes the floors have drastic shades of colors. Really?! Even the contractor was telling them that the order was wrong.

Needless to say, I cancelled my order and everything that came with it. Once again the flooring department took their sweet time to process it and also over a week later to come pick up the floors.

I had 25 boxes of flooring in my living room for over a week. I had to call AGAIN several times to have someone pick it up. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend anyone to use home depot at the Evanston location for any flooring needs.

The Evanston Home Depot is in a class all by itself compared to the many I have been to in Indiana , Michigan , and Illinois . I say that because the people who work for the Evanston store are far above in their dedication to customer service being great . They are present throughout the store and available to offer help with everything , and they know where products are located , which cuts down on me having to search for things when I am pressed for time . They will follow through with you for everything you need , and never once have I heard the usual , " I don't work in this department line , but if you go up to the customer service desk and ask for help in that department they will call someone over for you " That sends me directly to exit sign and out the door because I'm not looking to make a career out of picking up an extension cord . Many Home Depot stores are short on employees available in any department . Can look down aisle after aisle , and never spot one . Thumbs up for Evanston.

Honestly first time feeling uncomfortable shopping. Employees asking so many questions bombarding me with what I'm using the items im purchasing for. Wish I could just come in and buy.

Aisles were clearly labeled. Customer service was at an all time high. Associates were helpful, both inside and outside of store. Prices were good. And what we were looking for was available. Also the promotion at the register was true. We were in and out in a matter of minutes.

This location is your average home improvement store. Home Depot usually has the items/materials that I need for my various home improvement projects. The staff is friendly and helpful. The garden and lawn care section is good.

Got what I needed but this location is not dog-friendly while most other Home Depot locations I've visited are. A bit disappointing.

You me we know what you'll need until you walk the isles at the Depot.

I was ready to spend $600.00 on a toolbox. They called somebody to help me 3 times . No response . Nobody showed up. Just a bunch of employees standing around pretending to be busy. No wonder the parking lot was empty on a Sunday afternoon. I went to menards down the street. Could not even find a spot to park. Quick and efficient customer service. I will never go back to Home Depot. What a shame. Another major retail store will go bankrupt because they re employees don t care to provide their customers with just basic services.

I had to get quite a bit of fiberglass insulation by making a few trips. The service rep, "Mari" was extremely helpful and showed me how to save by ordering bulk. I'll definitely shop here again.

I do remodeling and handyman type work for a family in this area and often visit this HomeDepot for supplies and misc tools that I need for specific tasks on the job. They have a good selection and are pretty organized. Staff could be a little more friendly though...

I had the best experience with Joe Tucker today. He was so kind and helpful with a smile on his face regardless of the mask. I was looking for laminate flooring and a mini freezer and he did such a great job helping me find the two items. He simplified my life by setting it up perfectly in my vehicle. Great guy to work with if you're ever in the area. Thank you Joe.

This Home Depot had better options for my lighting project than Lowe's and much better options than Menards. I found what I needed fairly easily. I also scouted smoke alarms. Staff were available and helpful. Even the self-checkout went smoothly, although I wish at least one regular checkout lane had been open.

Friendly and helpful staff at this location. Associates offered assistance even when not asked, which was nice. Checkout moved quickly even during COVID-19 times. The selection in this store is also strong and the store was well stocked. Recommended.

Always someone available to answer yor questions. Sometimes plant availability is limited.
