Rum Boogie Review

Best ribs, coleslaw and potato salad I've ever had in a restaurant. I wish I lived there.

Great music, food, and drinks. Go to Rum Boogie and enjoy.

Food was OK. Operation friendly and fast. Live music, however, was downplayed without enthusiasm and enjoyment of the music.

Waiter very good, named Joe. Food and drink good . Blues band great!

Fun place! Great band when I was there. Veritable guitar museum hanging from the ceiling and on the walls.

Very good meal. Quality music but too loud tonight.

Ate Sunday brunch here, friendly service. Try the hash brown bbq mash or the biscuits n gravy.

Even at Midnight on a Tuesday this place was lit, packed and rocking.

Amazing music and ambience.

One of my fave places on Beale street. Lively music. Good drinks. Got the bucket of beer. It was pretty stout.

Friendly nostalgic place, cheese sauce is from a can and separated very quickly. Over sauced with the bbq. Pork very dry.

Many rooms - rock, jazz, blues. Best spot to settle in for a few really good bands.

Great bar with very good music and various nice bands. Fun with all the guitars on the roof that every possible musician owned.

I visit Memphis pretty often and this is one of my favorite places to visit. The music is better than anywhere else I've visited on Beale street. If you are in town and want a place to visit for a drink or hang out. This place is it.

The selection of signed guitars is definitely worth checking out. Elvis, Isaac Hayes, Alice Cooper ect.

Great customer service. We ordered the short ribs and fried okra....it was delicious! Nothing better than some real BBQ flavors coupled with a live jazz band. Definitely coming back to this joint.

This place is amazing first time here great atmosphere it started with the door guy you made my wife and i feel at home the food here is great and the bartender Lee was amazing we will defently be back

Nice place to have a bite to eat and listen to some local musicians. Though the place was quite warm and lacking A/C especially in the month of August. Had to leave shortly after our food was delivered due to the heat.

Great place to bring out of town guests. The house band is good. Some of the bands that come through are excellent. The atmosphere in both the Rum Boogie and bar next door are true Memphis/Beale Street. Also, love the hanging guitars.

Loved The Eric Hughes band. Awesome blues band. We come here every time we're in town. Great food and service as well.

Love the environment. The nachos were not good, very soupy. The sampler was great! Beer prices were a bit high and the location is a bit scary outside but inside it's a great place, lots of space to move around and chill in different spaces.

The doorman will try to rip you off on the cover charge. Count your change. He tried to steal from us twice, but we stood out ground. We should have left. Save yourself the trouble and just keep driving to New Orleans. Beale St. can't compete.

Comfortable. Plenty of seating. Good band (access to the band next store too) $5 cover. But how is a place with Rum in their name out of rum on a Thur night?

Two bars/two bands for one cover! Nice beer selection but pricey. Love the dive-bar feel.

Great live music for only a three dollar cover! I didn't sit at the bar or eat here so don't have info on food or drink, although the wings smelled tantalizingly good!

Will never go back again. After waiting more then an hour for our food we had to cancel it.

The band is what attracted us in. And let me tell you they know how to play! They have an upstairs which is easier for talking. The place has a ragtag feel to it which is fitting for jazz/blues.

Ordered a guac burger. Guacamole was slimy and brown, burger was a frozen patty, absolutely disgusting. Overpriced for nasty food. Music was great. Waitress was sweet. I had a hard time sending my food back because I'm not a complainer, nor am I picky but YUCK!

Great live music, good food too. There are so many venues on Beale and people don't stay that long in one place. So waiting for a table near the band will make your time more fun!

Great live band on the night I visited. I loved the layed back vibe and the fun everyone was having--dancing, singing along with the music & having a good time. It was exactly what I was looking for on Beale Street.

Never saw such a mismanaged / mishandled bar, and believe me, I've seen many beside owning one. That's simple, there were 2 people to serve the whole bar. Everyone was waiting. The poor crew was just doing nothing under the stress. Lost half an hour waiting for someone and then some unnerved clients started to be ungraceful. We just left and stopped in another pleasant place. It's not a one night problem, this is the place to avoid on Beale st.

Great blues and rock club. Like all the signed hanging guitars. Lots of rock and blues legends been there.
