Awesome place! Very nice people and the food was great!! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

First time going here. Have heard great things but it's quite a drive for us. We went for my birthday and glad we did. The food was amazing and the staff was great to accommodate us. You have to try the croissants are amazing! Will be going back! With the drive from Hampstead!

Went today with a party of 6. We all had to share the 3 menus they gave us. Wasn't impressed with the food I ordered neither was my wife, my burger was not good didn't even eat the round fries. Will stick to Outback, or Ruby Tuesdays. At least there you walk in and are taken to a table, here you are told to stay outside until we come get you by the girl who seemed to hate her job.

Food was excellent! Staff was incredibly nice and we were blown away by how attentive they were with our daughter, who has a peanut allergy. We don't often eat out because of the peanut allergy, but before we eat at a place, we talk to the manager to ask about the menu. They have a process in the kitchen when there's a customer with a food allergy that really set us all at ease. We'll definitely be back!

Rucker Johns is always delicious. Been going there for years. Never a bad meal. Better to eat in than order out. Don't get the same amount of food when you order out. We ordered the chilli and salad Friday night and didn't get the chips with the chilli or the onions and jalapenos on top od the chilli. It was a cold rainy night and looking forward to a big ole bowl of chilli like it's served in the restaurant. Was very disappointed. Will only order in the restaurant from now on. Still a great place to dine in.

Food is always delicious....favorite local restaurant!

First visit in many years. Sat at the bar, bartender was very attentive and assisted me with a menu selection. I chose a pasta dish with grilled chicken. Delicious and enough for a take home portion! My friend had the prime rib sandwich which is a weekly tradition for him! $12.99 special on Mondays. The croissants are a MUST. You can order a basket or one comes with most meals. Environment was perfect for a friendly dinner date. Outside seating is available. Drink specials were a nice perk. Will definitely be returning.

The croissants are amazing! I also had some fried mushrooms that were really good. Shrimp and grits was just okay.

It was wonderful, my favorite place to eat. Great service.

I ordered a rare ribeye with a loaded baked potato and a side of broccoli the other night as a bar take out order. Brought it home and it was literally the best ribeye and baked potato I'd ever eaten! I dont often leave reviews but the food was phenomenal and I picked up my meal as take out and I live a few minutes from the restaurant and it was still packaged perfectly so it was still hot, fresh, and the steak was cooked perfectly!! Staff was actually super great and attentive while I sat at the bar waiting on my take out order. So if you are looking for a perfectly cooked steak, and fabulous side items then go eat dinner at Rucker Johns!

Food was really good and plenty of it. Prices were reasonable. Staff and service were great. Nice atmosphere. Haven't eaten here in 20 years but will go back before another 20 years pass. A very nice dining experience.

So glad we chose to come here tonight. We had such a sweetheart of a waitress (I believe her name was Kate). She was so super friendly and just simply rocks at being a waitress! We eat here frequently, and have always had great servers, but she was by far our favorite! Almost forgot to mention the food, but everything on the menu is always delicious!! Overall, excellent restaurant!

They went out of their way to accommodate our large party helping us celebrate mom's 89 the birthday.

The food was incredible, and so was the service. I did a house salad with kick up shrimp on top and it was amazing. Definitely coming back again.

The side salad that goes with meals were way below their usual standard as well as their Grey Goose Martini.

The food was halfway decent and very expensive for the the portion of food that was given to us!!!! But the waiter that took care of us was very friendly and very prompt by giving us are food in an orderly time and plus he refilled our drinks and we didn't have to wait. Plus we had a really GOOD CONVERSATION with him about the LORD JESUS CHRIST!!!! It's really GOOD TO KNOW that there are young people that DO BELIEVE IN FATHER GOD AND HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!! So I would have to say the best thing about Rucker John's is the service!!!! GODSPEED

I love everything about this restaurant. Nice ambiance, thoughtful wait staff, scrumptious prime rib and mahi sandwich.

Had Santa Fe chicken and baked potato. Chicken was juicy and good flavor ...Love me some black beans! And I think Rucker Johns has the best baked potato in Wilmington. Dinner salad is always refreshing. The honey glazed croissant is excellent. I save it for dessert.

Food was good. They forgot a few things i paid for on my order. Wait time was good. Around 6:30 on a Wednesday.

Probably the most consistent kitchen in Wilmington. Everything is scratch made and I've never had a bad meal or bad service.

Went with a large group. All were served at the same time. The food, the service and the prices were very good.

I got a salad, the bowl was dirty on top with honey mustard dressing......... I had thousand island dressing. The bottom of the bowl looked like it was stacked with the dirty dishes. I'm really not sure if the bowl was washed before it served to me!

I enjoyed this restaurant very much. I am vegetarian and they had a few things on their menu for me to choose from including a list of side items I could easily have made a vegetable plate. There was live jazz music (a little loud if I had been sitting closer). Service was excellent. I definitely recommend. Oh, and the side salads are the BEST!!!

As good as when we use to visit my son in Jacksonville when he was in the USMC.

I dined here on a Monday Evening when most restaurants are not on their A-game but Rucker John's was on point in every aspect of a first class dining experience! They have such a warm and cozy yet family like atmosphere. The server, Mandy was cheerful, courteous, and professional and kept my glass full. The grilled mahi-mahi sandwich was more than delicious and combined with home style potatoes rounds was quite a satisfying meal. This is one of many meal experiences I have enjoyed here through the years!

Great food, great selection, great service, great prices, great for kids, I'm sure I forgot something, but it was very good.

Food was horrible! Iyer was around 9pm on a Saturday night.

Our waitress Jade was wonderful, very cheerful. The crab dip is pretty good and honey butter croissants are exceptional

Once again, the nachos are the BEST. Disappointed that the "special" is bar only, but the price is still a great value.

Prime rib is done very well. I would have given 4 or 5 stars if the service was better. We waited over approximately an hour and was told that the drive through pick up line was wrapped around the building basically saying their priority is drive through pick up and everyone in the dining room was a captured audience. A couple who were there before us said aloud to their waitress what everyone was thinking, "The drive through is getting all of the attention and we're not." The courtesy apologies were given. Management needs work or a new manager.

We had a great time everything was great, had a party of 20.

Food is good but it seemed like they were short staffed. Sat at a table that wasn't clean and it took a while to get the last people's drinks cleared. Only because my father had to sit down right after last people left, when he moved from the bar to the first open table near by. Service was slow and nobody offered to wipe our table down. What ever. They shouldn't hand wash there glasses at the bar in the same dirty water that is filled in the sinks. Not sanitary. Thought glasses and dishes in a restaurant had to be sanitized in hot water. Not a sink filled with old water and a the faucet.

You've gotta try the shrimp and grits! (Really just about everything on the menu is delicious)

The atmosphere at Rucker Johhs is wonderful. Nice, quiet and elegant. The food itself is good, but doesn't quite match the atmosphere. The food is more pub type with a fine dining feel. I also didn't like the customer service, the waitresses could have been nicer. However, they were not rude which is a plus. I would go back if I was invited by family/friends, it wouldn't be my idea ever.

Great menu variety, delicious food, & wonderful service every time! Been eating here for many years & kids plus adults love it.

We had lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it was very pleasant. We've also visited the Rucker Johns in Emerald Isle and they are always consistently good. We were seated promptly and our server came right to our table. We placed our orders and our meals came out promptly and as advertised. Our server, Courtney checked back multiple times. We left very happy and will continue to visit their restaurants.

Nice low key dining experience. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
The good is always fresh and served hot. Prices are fair for the serving sizes.
