The appetizers were great, but the burger I received was soggy and the chili on top was very bland and somewhat cold

Food was excellent, service, even better! Tayler was AWESOME. We we're visiting for the Holidays from out of town and brought some local friends along who hadn't been to RJ before

LOVED Rucker John's. This was my first visit, but it will not be my last. Every meal is served with a hot croissant that literally melts in your mouth. They also have a hot bacon salad dressing that is to die for. I absolutely recommend Rucker John's!

Very tasty dishes main meals and salads. Fresh hot croissant offered with meals. Interesting menu and good prices.

Delicious. Love the atmosphere and that you can talk to your friends and they can hear you.

Food OK. Service excellent. Weird "RJ fries". Potato rounds sliced half inch thick,deep fried, very greasy. Nice side salad. Burgers were good.

Like an upscale Hobble Gobble. House salad is awesome with the hot bacon and honey mustard dressing!

One of the best casual restaurants in the Monkey Junction part of town. We have been dining here for nearly 8 years. We take advantage of the free birthday dessert offers we get in the mail, after signing up for the program. The food is unique, good and always served quality. Just tonight I heard the manager go to a table across the way from us and let them know the chicken for their salad had been over cooked, he didn't even allow it to be brought to the table, and then let them know it was being done again and would be right out!
We love to bring the whole family here! Our kids are moderately behaved, most days, and the staff plus the beachy atmosphere makes it seem like a breeze. Sometimes we come after church, in our dresses and button down shirts. Or after a day at the beach, when we still smell like salt water and have sand in our hair. They don't mind. Also, the outdoor eating areas are so nice. And in those days we don't want to sit down at the restaurant, there's curb side to go. Gotta love it!

I had heard about Rucker John's for a while but never actually been. I was pleasently surprised at how great the atmosphere was. The staff and service we're exceptional and the food was amazing. At the end of the meal when the manager, Jarred, came by he extremely professional and courteous and made us feel like our dining experience was the most important thing he had going on that night. It was the best night out my wife and I have had in a long time. 10/10. Would dine again.

I m a regular at Rucker John s, going on 20years, but lately things have gone drastically down hill. Service is still excellent, but the food proportions have cut by 25%+. I ve inquired as to why but was informed that new management has determined that portions are excessive. Why do you think you have such dedicated clientele? But making changes to save a few pennies can cost you a fortune. Once you loose the clients that make you a success, it will be hard to get them back. My family and I are rethinking our choice.

Always enjoyed this restaurant but this time the service was a tad slow (didn't appear too busy) and their famous crab dip had a definite 'tinny' taste, like it came out of a can.

I'm in love with this place. So delicious. It's my go to spot every single time I'm in Wilmington. They have fresh food and large portions. The service is always great. And those croissants...YUMMY! Get an order to go, you won't be disappointed.

My hubby and I came here while we were on vacation and honey the food is Fabulous! I had the Black Jack special and my steak was cooked to perfection! Great food and atmosphere!

Great experience. Manager was very helpful. He made our luncheon for my parents 65th anniversary very nice.

Great food, would recommend getting a meat dish. Their fish is good, I would just say to get their meat. This one waitress didnt give us our lemons for the water.lol

Sorry, but it's a terrible place to go if you're vegetarian. At the end of the meal our waitress literally threw the check onto our table while talking to another one. Not a great experience.

One of our favorite spots to eat! RJs has great food and service, and the price is reasonable. If we order an entre we have to take some home!

Slow service we ordered our food first and we were in a big group of 25 and you cannot get the orders right had one person waited 45 minutes to get just a salad and another person waited a 25 minute to fix him a new sandwich our group will not be coming back.

Nice waitress/bartender wish I could remember her name! But the shrimp appetizer is to die for

Warm ambience of a fireplace near the indoor booth for a perfect setting. Absolutely the BEST nachos I've had anywhere. Paired with well priced draft beer. The service can't be beat.

Wow today my wife and i had a fantastic lunch.First the waitresses are wonderful happy, smiling and you don't have to wait or ask for your drinks to be refilled there on it. We had the Turkey tuskinke and grilled asparagus. Dam no person should have the feeling i for that lunch haahaha.As always the restaurant was neat and clean.

Great service. We sat outside, given the Covid Situation. The ribeye was okay, but nothing to write home about. The chicken fingers were very good. And we really liked the croissants.

My top place for quality American food. Food was so tasty. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. This place has an awesome atmosphere.

Consistently good food, good service and a nicely varied menu. Their salads are some of the best around- there's a nice variety, they're loaded with good toppings, the dressings are homemade, and they all come with coissants drizzled with honey butter. They are very accommodating of special requests and have a good rewards program to top it all off. The restaurant is starting to look a little shabby though, with spilt seats in many booths. Time for a remodel RJs.

I have been going to Rucker Johns for years and was so extremely disappointed with the service and food tonight. I ordered a flatbread with no tomatoes, it came out full of tomatoes, the runner took it in the kitchen, picked the tomatoes off and returned it less than 30 seconds later. What a terrible down turn this restuarant has taken. And to tell management and nothing to be done was the worst part.

My experience here was not very good the first time I went the food was good the second time I went I had fried crab legs and they were disgusting they tasted horrible but the manager and the staff were very good in trying to make me happy they gave me a free appetizer to go along with giving me the mill for free so in the end they did their best to please the customer and that's what counts so I give them a pretty good rating as far as customer service they may want to change cooks or either Food suppliers.

I have been going here since I was a kid. Customer service is outstanding especially the manager, Thomas I think is his name. The food is mouth watering. This is definitely the place to go if you want great service and quality for a fair price. I've never had a problem with my food before but they triple check that your satisfied and won't make you feel like a bother for asking to cook a steak a little more or anything etc.

To put it simply, the very best prime rib in town. Also, excellent staff. The best birthday dinner I've had in years.

Audrey is the best server I have ever had. The tap water here is the most amazing freaking tap water I have ever tried. The croissants are better than the Patriots losing a super bowl. I would take the Carolina Burger over free real estate. The sweet potato fries remind me of summer time in the fresh scented beaches of Italy. They were super busy. It was a Thursday night. 30 minute wait. Then about an hour to get our food. The croissants are always amazing!! The rest of the food was okay. Probably because of how busy they were. Normally a 5 Star. I'll be back.

Good solid American food and seafood. Always done right and they get the details correct every time. Try the croissants and the seared tuna salad.

This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time, I only get a chance to get here once in awhile but great food, crab dip and the jack Daniels steak are my faves. Great atmosphere and great staff.
