Although the service was great I ordered something called lightly breaded shrimp I must say that when they came out they looked like a plate full of hush puppies, it was so much better on them I had to peel it all off in order to enjoy the shrimp. Maybe it's time for a new cook
The food was really good and the service was excellent even with our large party of 12. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Amazing food & the staff is fantastic! Great service and atmosphere! Rucker John's became my favorite place to eat after my first visit. The breaded chicken tenders, loaded baked potato, croissants and that addictive ranch dressing.....now ive gone and made myself hungry!
Great lunch her at Rucker Johns at Monkey Junction. My friend had a large size BLT and we both enjoyed the generous portions and quality meal. We did not have room for the brownie and ice cream on this visit. Tisha was our server. She was terrific.
Food is typically good for a typical American restaurant. The service is sometimes slow, but really good for the price point.

Everytime I go there and get a salad I say this place could use a salad spinner. Very watery salads. Homemade dressing are delicious.

Stopped in for lunch. Was not expecting a lot. Staff was attentive, place was clean and very friendly and the salads all around we're delicious, fresh, flavorful. Impressed.

We LOVE Rucker Johns! Lindsay, Audrey, Blake and Deborah ROCK behind the bar! Thomas the manager is very personable! The food is always great! Very consistent! Our favorites are Prime ribb, salmon, sweet potato fries with honey mustard sauce, Miller light, and Red Diamond red whine! I can't remember all the server's names who have waited on us but they have ALL been great! Oh! Make sure to tell Steven not to leave his money lying around! Lol

We were seated promptly and our order was taken out waitress was very good the issue we ordered steak bad bad choice it took about 40 minutes to get to our table his was cold as if it had been sitting for awhile mine was very fatty and gristly at least half of the steak was uneditable at $25 per steak we expected better. The manager apologized and offered to remake but at this point we had been there an hour and with health issues we needed to eat and get home with our child. Food was way below standard if you want a good steak go to a steak restaurant you won't pay as much and the quality will be better

Food was good but the service was awful!! I don't mind waiting for food cooked to order but just getting soft drinks took 15 mins from being ordered. Then they brought me sweet tea instead of unsweet tea which the waitress said she would change out immediately when she took our order but I was halfway through my meal before I got the correct drink after 2 reminders! It was the longest lunch(about 2 hours)! Every request took forever!
Never a bad meal here! The service is always great! My favorite is the tomato basil spaghetti , side salad with the amazing ranch.
If you like dirty martinis this is your place. The ladies at the bar can make a mean martini and the prices are awesome. If you're not into carbs, try the tuna!!

I have eaten at RuckeR John's several times. Great experience each time. Restaurant clean, spacious, decorated nicely and the food excellent. I suggest to anyone who has not had the experience of eating at RuckeR John's to try it. Prices are reasonable and good portions. Friendly staff and your meal is at your table in a timely manner. Its definitely a five restaurant!
Always a great meal. Been disappointed in many eateries in the area over our vacation, but, Rucker Johns gave us the dining experience we wanted. Worth every dollar.

This review is for the staff!! The food was ok...I ordered the crab dip and hated it. Not saying its horrible just saying I didn't like it. The staff was very nice and made sure I found something to my liking. I would recommend the Fried Crab Claws!! You get so much in one order!!
Always a good, solid meal at RJs. Usually pretty busy at dinner time. Nice bar area and they have live music periodically. Their hot bacon dressing is soooo good!!

First time there last night for our anniversary. Best decision lately. Excellent service, short wait about 5 min. Really good food. Battered Crableg appetizer never had before was great. Potato bacon soup and salad, ribeye steak, bbq rack ribs all cooked to perfection. Apple Fritter dessert amazing. Little pricey but worth it. Love this place.

First time eating here and really enjoyed it! Recommend call ahead seating to minimize wait time. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Although busy for a Saturday night, it was not very noisy. Will definitely eat here again.

The crab dip here is the best in Wilmington. We did have to get something different for my husband. He ordered the chili and it was fiery hot. Management was very nice and apologized. Other than that, service has always been excellant. Highly recommended.
We were a large party and they were very accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious and enjoyed by everyone in our party ranging from 13-80yrs. Very good prices too!!

Not good at all. Long wait for bland lukewarm food. The bread and salad were the only good parts of the entire 2 hours we were there. We will not be back.
Atmosphere, food and beer selection are top notch. Always a good local craft on tap. Shrimp wrap and shrimp blt are good selections. The shrimp bisque is really good and very filling.
I'm not sure why this place is so popular. Our steak cuts were pretty terrible and next to raw, most of the food was unappealing. It seems to be a place families take their kids, so it's noisy. I'd put it in the same class as Applebees and Chili's.
We have ate here a few times when we visit Wilmington. It is a very good place to eat. The service tonight was very good. Our steaks and dessert were excellent.
On 1/27 our church family fellowship @ Rucker Johns, the staff was awesome.the waitress we had was the best!! We needed another table so we wouldn't be seated apart. Austin went out his way to get us another table.We thank u so very much for the nice help that u show our church. Yesterday was the first time for everone except two nothing but good things I heard from everyone and how they will be back and wanted the same waitress once again thank you from our Pastor Leroy Bunting and the Temple of Praise Church.
Ugh their croissants and chicken tenders are my favorite foods LITERALLY of all time. This is worth every penny (and not too expensive)
My family and I never said mmmmm so much. Everything was delicious from the broccoli to the brownie. Server acknowledged us every time he passed by. My fussy little daughter and I highly recommend this place

Good food, good service. Starting with the honey glazed croissants, which are delicious, then moving to a fresh salad with croissant croutons. Yum. I can recommend the blackjack special ribeye steak. Very good steak. It's the meal I order almost every time I visit.

I visited here years ago and I was really surprised how great it was. A friend of mine who lived nearby suggested it to me when I asked him where should I take my wife for our anniversary dinner.
The atmosphere is very professional and clean very polite people wait on you here.
The food is so delightful, my wife enjoyed the ribs and some calamari along with some mozzarella cheese sticks. For desert we had this brownie alamode with cute sprinckles.
If you haven't been here give it a try, it's something different and very nice to try especially for an anniversary dinner.. wink wink.
