Food was overpriced, in small portions and pretty average. Waitresses were nice but managers seemed uninterested and rude. One manager in specific said something disgusting and we almost walked out. Will never eat here again

The waiter inside is treating the non-Australian guests deliberately "turning a blind eye". This store should let it go bankrupt. After the meal, I used to call the waiter up to three times. I saw it three times and then pretended not to see the turn, bad. Extremely. Even giving a star too much
Me and my wife ordered 2 steak sandwiches today at Rubyniks in Miranda. My wife s steak sandwich was ok, but the steak sandwich they served me, was virtually uneatable. The steak was very tough, very hard to chew, I mentioned that to the waiter, and was told that my complaint would be mentioned to the cook. Paying close to $20 per steak sandwich, I expected the meat quality to be a lot better than that. I can t see myself going back to this establishment ever again.
I get the wait staff are uni students and have better things to look forward in their life but it wouldn't kill them to crack a smile... they're all walking around looking like someone has kicked their dog. Plus they need to taste everything on the menu so if I feign a conversation to try to incite some humor or common ground at least she can recommend something, anything?...no... Foods great (& chefs have a great time out the back) but wow the rest of this place is depressing.
Great cafe. The wait for food is sometimes a little long but other than that the food is always delicious. Friendly staff and great selection of food to choose from. Coffee is always delicious too.
Excellent service, the waitresses are funny and playful. The food was delicious, following the recommendations of the staff made the food even tastier.
Very cool place. For was beautiful and not expensive at all! The staff were incredible and very friendly despite the place being so busy; they've got their systems down pat. Just make sure you book!
Horrible experience and overpriced good. Did not inform us of the long wait before hand. The wraps we ordered were chewy and the proportion of vegetables and meat was appalling.
staff are nice. food was a bit pricey for what we got. ordered steak sandwich and there was soo much sinewy bits in the steak which was a bit disappointing. needed more sauce in the sandwich as well. coffee was good. could offer table water and ask if want any condiments to go with chips.
You need to improve your customer service , hard to get staff s attention to order , was about to leave the restaurant just because the staffs walking pass but still ignore you it s very hard to get their attention
Ordered a bacon melt from take away menu .. only needed to be toasted ... waited 20 minutes .. was not busy at all .. wait staff only cared about talking to themselves.. had to ask again for my order .. hopeless
I am appalled by the service with ruby nicks. I wait about 15 minutes to get a coffee!!! It's utterly DISGUSTING!! I blame management! Pick up your game or I'll take my money elsewhere . Coffees off tap though
Very disappointed. Arrived and sat down around 9:30 AM - after 10 minutes signalled a waitress who then took our order. About another 10 minutes another waitress asked us if we needed anything and we said we had already ordered. In the meantime another couple sat down at a table next to us. They ordered and les than 5 minutes their cakes had arrived. That's fine - but when their coffees arrived that was almost the last straw. We waited another 5 minutes and then left. As there were empty tables at the time I can only assume we are invisible once our order was taken. This was extremely disappointing as being a new food outlet that they would have been very aware that theres' is a service and only survive with good service. Word of mouth is the best advertising, they will fail with my "Word of mouth advertising
We usually go to the kids one next to the main Rubyniks. I think the food is a tad expensive for what you get, but the little ones enjoy a run around and I can enjoy my coffee while it's hot..so it's a win win.
Good old Rubyniks, they were very busy, not only they spaced tables for social distancing, the service was fantastic and staff couldn't be more helpful. The food was great in case you were wondering!
the smaller cafe where the kids play area is the best.. just not the coffee on the weekends (weekdays only).. as everything is rushed. awesome staff nonetheless. :)
Nothing flash but I don't think its meant to be. the food was fairly ordinary but my partner had lunch . The service was quick and friendly and overall a nice place to eat.
Poor service, incompetent staff, cold and bland food which took ages to come out. Paid $16 for a chicken wrap with cold, shredded canned chicken. (Even the waitress said she wouldn't eat that chicken) I Was not issued a table number by the waitress and when I went to pay, the register attendee was charging me for someone else's bill and was doubting me when I affirmed that it was not my bill. No communication between staff and a general lack of order. Won't be going there again...
People tolerate slow service, bad food and coffee if the service is good. This place excels in none of the aforementioned - young gentleman with the glasses was exceptionally rude and condescending.
Went to Miranda today. This place had no social distancing. It was packed of people, all tables full. The spaces between them did not comply with 1.5m distancing. I didn't stop with my family first a coffee. While other coffee shops are doing the right thing, this one certainly did not show this today.
My girlfriend and I decided to eat at Rubyniks today (21st June 2019, at around 2pm), as we ve eaten here before and have had wonderful experiences and had lovely food. However, on this instance our visit was absolutely appalling and I hate to say it, but quite frankly the worst hospitality experience I have ever had. We sat down at our booth, and didn t need to look at the menu as we already knew what we were going to eat. We were greeted by our waiter (didn t catch her name, however she was tall with dark hair, tanned skin, and looked of Asian/South American ethnicity) who took my girlfriend s order first (Chicken and Mushroom Risotto), and then asked what I wanted to order. I asked for the same, but without mushroom and onions. The waitresses response was absolutely disgusting, to which she stared at me in silence for around 5 seconds before responding so you just want chicken and rice in an incredibly condescending and judgemental tone. I have an allergy to mushroom and onion and don t feel like having to explain myself every time I go to eat, so the fact that she was straight out rude to her customer regardless of the circumstance is absolutely disgusting. To top this off, she then turned to my girlfriend and said to her so you eat yours like a normal person? and then proceeded to walk off. Another waitress brought out our food and we went to eat it, however I only ate half of it due to the food on this occasion not being to standard - I understand that this happens sometimes in this environment and I was okay with this. HOWEVER, when our original waitress returned to take our plates, she looked at mine and again in an awful tone said to me you only ate half because there s no flavour left from taking them out? (or something to that effect, I can t remember specifically because I was so taken back this again). I m not one to make negative reviews - or even reviews in general - but for this instance I couldn t let this go without bringing it to the attention of both management and the community.
Close at 5:30?? Try 2:45 on the Monday I went. And with the attitude as well No I ve already served my last coffee . Thanks. But no thanks. I can get the attitude elsewhere
This place isn't busy for no reason. Seems many people who are unhappy are reviewing, how about some more reviews from happy people. Food is good service good. I love the risotto and they substitute the chicken for halloumi for me. Its massive for me! I always get 2 meals from it. Coffee good. Can't complain.1year later I must add Kiara is a very attentive friendly waitress!
Just had lunch here today waited 45 minutes for my lunch and table's all around me who sat and ordered 20mins after me get their food and drinks before me and im a single person their table's of 2 and 6. What a joke will never come here agein. If i could rather you 0 stars i would!!!
The staff at Ruby Niks were lovely. I had an injury and they were really patient and helpful. They let me sit around close to and after closure. Thanks to the staff for being so understanding! P.s. the coffee is very smooth and not bitter, but strong. I love the ANZAC cookie as well.
A lovely spot for a pitstop during your shopping. We had brunch here today, the coffee was good and the raisin toast delicious. Friendly and efficient customer service. Comfortable seating and reasonable prices.
On weekend mornings it s very busy and the service is slow. It s also a bit expensive.
Apart of that it s one of the best places in Sutherland Shire to go for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee break. The food is nice and the staff is friendly. I also like the looks, even though it s not something very special.
The service at this place is abhorrent. We sat down, ordered and after 20 minutes we asked what the hd up was. We were then informed that there is a 30 minute wait on food. When the food finally came out, it was tasteless and cold. Never again.
