Stay away from anything Lucent. I had to go to ER in June and still close to end of October it has not been paid. I also have 2 outstanding lab bills that have not been paid. I pay for the premium package each week and my doctor of many years is not taking Lucent at all. Believe it or not I had to start receiving care from the county hospital and yet still pay premium price. When i call the Lucent for details as to why they are not pay i always get it is in processing or they didnt get the bill when the medical facility says they sent the bills. STAY AWAY THERE IS NO MEDICAL HERE TO ASSIST YOU. Now I am reporting them to the insurance commission so i can get my claims paid
Poor customer service for providers. If you call after 10am they will take your name and phone number to call you back. If you call the next day they will say that you're already on the list. I called and gave my information Wednesday and by Monday had not received a call back. If you call in the morning the same woman will answer and she has a very not nice to work with tone the entire time you talk to her. She will ask a question and as soon as she stops talking for you to respond she then talks over you. Also the Lucent health portal does not allow you to access the information needed to allow you to get the information that they state is "only available on the portal". When you ask to speak to a manager they give you the run around stating, they are not in. If you ask to be transferred to their voicemail they just leave you on hold for 30 minutes and then the phone cuts out.
Very poor customer service at this company. Would give zero stars if that were an option.
RUN RUN RUN far away from this company! I would give it "0" stars if it would allow me to. I wouldn't even go as far to say this is even an insurance company. You have to do ALL of the legwork yourself and as of today, they have not paid any of my claims!!!!
Have had nothing but problems with this company. Nothing is ever covered. I have a secondary insurance which is Care Source, but Lucent likes to argue that they are my secondary even though Care Source clearly would be my secondary. Can t wait to switch insurance company s again and get away from this one.
Ever since my school district switched over and had Lucent health as coverage, it has been a nightmare and a mess. I ve been battling some charges for eight months. The insurance company blames the hospital, and the hospital blames the insurance company. The customer reps are nice on the phone, but they don t get anything done. I am not somebody who doesn t pay my bills, but I shouldn t have to pay for things that are covered.
Find a new job ASAP if your company tries to switch to Lucent Health. I don't care if you take a $10k pay decrease, you will make up for it in the long run. This company will sit on claims for 6 months, rule everything ineligible, and you won't ever get ahold of anyone to get it resolved. If you hated insurance companies before, you haven't experienced anything yet.
Horrible company for health insurance. They didn't pay hospital bill and now my credit is being ruined. I was only supposed to have copays but their sticking me with the whole bill after I paid the premiums. They are making jump through hoops telling me to appeal. I shouldn't have to go through appeal when policy clearly states a copay. Everyone run from this company.
