The food is fresh, but there could be more variety in the menu, more interesting options and take advantage of seasonal produce. People expect more than just sandwiches and burgers in today's foodie market. Side salads are never dressed, it's all very average.

For what you pay, the food is pretty average. Very small servings for the $. But they know people will go there for the play area. The coffee is good, I definitely go back, but only for a coffee, I would eat somewhere else.

Waited 45mins for eggs benedict after seeing the table next to us receive the same order after arriving 30mins after us, those people were then told halfway through their meal that they had been given the wrong meals and had them taken away from them. When my meal finally came out it was served on 2 small muffins instead of toast, with a drizzle of hollandaise. Not worth the $19 that was paid

I ordered pancakes for $15, what I got was two small thin pancakes that were overcooked. The dish was also ment to come with ice cream which I had to ask for..

If a cafe can't even get pancakes right I hate to think what there other meals are like.

Definitely won't be returning.

The problem with Google reviews is that usually only people with a gripe bother to write them. This is particularly true in the Miranda/Shire area with its large Lorna Jane clad upper middle class bogan soccer mums and Kardashian wanna-be demographic.

I eat breakfast at Ruby Niks regularly, whenever I m in town.
The choice, quality, and quantity have always been great. Big breaky is great value, coffee has always been good. I ve had lunch here a few times also and never been disappointed.

Let s be realistic, this is a restaurant/cafe in a shopping centre. If you come hear expecting more than that maybe you need to spend less time on the couch watching MKR & Masterchef and expand your culinary horizons a little.

In addition to reasonably priced, reasonably good meals the staff here have always been fantastic. The breakfast staff (Meagan in particular...who is awesome BTW) always remember my name order and are super friendly and helpful. Well done Ruby Niks.....five stars from me.

Staff are overly friendly and helpful. Food was ok (although a bit overpriced). If only the positive attitude and friendly attitude of the staff would seep through to the thinking of the person who wrote the menu! Having travelled and eaten all around the world, this is the first place I have ever seen that charges people for toasting bread! Which sane person in their right mind would even think about charging customers for toasting bread?! Totally laughable, and absurd.

Awful

I like this cafe because it's reliable and consistent. The kitchen seems well organised and the staff well trained. Everything seems to happen smoothly every time I visit.
The coffee is smooth and seems to be a draw card here.
I do find that the menu tends to differ from expectations. Maybe it's my taste, but most meals, although consistent, seem to be heavy on one flavour. Like the tomato on "avo smash", or the hollandaise on the benedict. The balance never seems right, but it's easy enough to balance the meal yourself by leaving parts aside.

Dunno what you crazy people giving 2-3 star reviews are on about. They're the friendliest bunch you'll ever meet, always reliable and even when they are super busy they still keep a smile on their face which I cant say the same for most other cafe's around.

Was happy to get back to Shopping mall dining after so long in the Covid wilderness.
Social distancing was handled well.
Food was very good. Wait was a little long but the place was very busy so no real complaint there.
Would be happy to dine there in future for lunch.

Very disappointed in the way they treated me as a regular customer. I decided to have my coffee in a reusable china cup as I didn't want to waste a single use one. I had to sit down to do this. They charged me more and wouldn't stamp my coffee card. Some much for their "green" credentials and care of regular customers.

Staff are lovely.
