Rouse Chamberlin is a terrible company when it comes to customer service. They have posted open every Thursday to Monday 11-5, come anytime no appt needed. We arrive at Spring Mill wait and then text the sales person Cheryl only to find out she s on vacation. You didn t think to post that? Also no one to cover prospective buyers. They also have a new community Ridge Crest that is posted open every day and wait for it... no one will be on site until another community sells out. Terrible company take your business elsewhere. Ryan homes is much better

Rouse Chamberlin Homes is one of the areas premier home builders offering exceptional value. As a local realtor for the past 15 years I have done my research on who builds quality homes and delivers quality customer service. I am a firm believer that real estate is local and it s important to have the backing of a local builder ( as well as lender ) to help clients through the building process. When comparing to a larger national builder , Nobody comes close to Rouse Chamberlin. I will always recommend RC Homes to all my clients over most builders in the area.

Our Hawthorne Model was purchased in November 2015. The outside color is Certainteed Siding/Color Granite Gray. Rouse Chamberlain quickly responded to our inquiries on resolving issues within a day. For example, our bathtub in our master bath had a manufacturer defect with an air bubble (under warranty). The issue was resolved promptly. We also had a leaking window in the Master bedroom which the window manufacture was contacted and resolved painlessly. I am quite impressed with their quality of service and we are quite happy with our home.I am super happy with the help given by Melanie, Rich, and Rob.

We are very disappointed in the quality of home that we received from Rouse Chamberlin as there have been several issues that have arose over the years.
- There was no insulation installed above the family room.
- The air conditioning coil housing was installed backwards.
- The sump pump crock was filled with debris from building and never cleaned causing our sump pump to clog and flood.
- The sump pump motor was not sufficient enough to handle the volume of water rising up from the ground resulting in our basement flooding several times.
- The sump pump was installed on the wrong side of the grade of the outside of the house.
- There are several bowed walls on the inside of the house.
- Too many nail and screw pops to count.
- A window was installed in the master bedroom that did not match any of the windows in the rest of the house.
- The grading of the entire property was done poorly and all the topsoil was stripped from the lawn.

But the biggest disappointment was when we realized that the HVAC system installed in our home is too large for the size of our home. We contacted Rouse Chamberlin right away to correct their mistake and they told us to fix it ourselves.

We expected when purchasing from their company a quality home, or when problems do arise, their support in getting them fixed. Their lack of support regarding our HVAC issue has confirmed what the reviews online say about the company. They were great during the buying process but once the check is cashed they forget who you are.

The idea of finding a forever home isn t an easy one since companies look for their interests first, however myself and my husband were blessed by Maya who is undeniably the best and I mean best real estate agent that anyone could ever ask for! Extremely knowledgeable, smart, personable and very very detailed oriented she was able to make such an amazing experience and honest at the same time that we don t have to look any further. We found our home with the exact upgrades that will makes us very happy for years to home. A huge shout out to Maya! Without you Rouse Chamberlin would be a good company but with you it s exceptional !

Rouse Chamberlin is an A+ Company! They built my community nearly 40 years ago and they were still kind enough to take the time to speak with me about a few questions that I had, who does that...Rouse Chamberlin Phenomenal customer service and absolutely wonderful people!

This might be the first review I ve ever written but felt the need to share my experience as a forewarning for others.

Dealing with Rouse Chamberlin was one of the worst consumer experiences I ve ever had.

While we were originally very excited about the prospect of buying a home with Rouse, we quickly realized that it was going to be nothing short of a terrible experience. For others beginning the process with Rouse, I would advise you to fully expect to be treated with complete disregard and ignorance. Rouse views its buyers as a dispensable commodity and will treat you as such.

Rouse has not only recently attempted to hold in person business meetings during the COVID-19 shutdown, despite Governor Wolf s explicit requirement otherwise , but has also failed to deliver on almost every deadline and commitment throughout the entire process.

I would highly advise others to seek homes with Ryan or Toll Brothers as I can honestly say from direct and personal experience they are not only more flexible but more appreciative and willing to accommodate their buyers.

The front end of buying our home was great from the salesperson to the preferred lender. The warranty and customer service department is dreadful. Our home is at the one year checkpoint and the builder does not stand behind their product. I will save you the boring details but it is excuse after excuse of why nothing is their responsibility. It is either that our expectations are to high or we should have said something before closing or the sub-contractor is responsible for the warranty. Rouse as a company is there to sell you a house and nothing more. Shameful

Update: I did meet with a rep from Rouse who was very interested in our feedback. He is looking into each issue and has made it clear our satisfaction is the top priority. Things have turned a corner and are looking up.

Since that meeting the builder has followed through on correcting each of our issues. Thanks to Mike, Rich and Melanie for making this happen.
