Sooo much fun! We completed the Butcher's Basement as a group of 4. Challenging but not frustrating. Clues were not overly obvious and excellent multi-sensory atmosphere. Highly recommended!

This was my first time going into an escape room , the experience is one of a kind. Going here with a group is always better. Didn t know how important communication was until we were all locked in separate cages. Really learned the importance of working together and communicating effectively.

Thoroughly enjoyed it! Found that the puzzle was rather linear though, (couldn't have multiple people working on other puzzle/locks at same time), everyone had to work on the same one at same time to proceed. Can't say much more without revealing clues. Well decorated, and the staff and the room setup really set the mood for the room. Great and convenient location, I loved it. And I also love that at the end they let us preview the other rooms to get hyped about our next escape! :)

We did the 9pm Mummy escape room (beginner). The staff was friendly and gave us the hints we needed. Some of the equipment needs replacing. For example, when we asked for a hint, the staff came in and saw that our flashlight was so dim that we needed a new one, but they would have only known that because we called for help for something else. Then one of the directional locks was stuck, even though we had the correct code. The staff tried and couldn t get it to work on the first two tries. Audio was not very good either. Lastly, there was no climatic end to the escape, although we were able to escape in time. We still had fun, but I would say compared to some other escape rooms, this lacked a sophistication in the execution of the puzzles and the equipment.
The ambiance of the space is that it s small, there is not much of an entrance area. There are two bathrooms which are clean and lockers that line one side of the wall. They do make you lock your phones in a locker and optionally, your other valuables (under lock and key). Overall, not the best escape room I ve been to.

Have gone to roundabout twice in the same week (at the time of writing this review). Tried Butcher shop and final destination (plane) rooms. Had a blast in both however we found butcher room a bit more complex and confusing especially once you move onto the second room.

We absolutely loved the final destination room and the attention to detail. It is pretty straight forward as I managed to escape with my girlfriend with only 1 hint.
The front desk attendant is very polite and helpful, always happy to help and accommodate our needs.

I d say 5 stars for the experience but the Puzzles aren t that difficult.

Will definitely come back again to try the other rooms!

Roundabout Canada is located right in downtown core, just a minute walk away from Yonge and Dundas. Given their location, and the fact that they have 5 games available, I came in expecting smaller scale rooms (compared to the ones out in Markham or North York).

And the room we were in was definitely not large. However, unless moving around was a key element in the story, I wouldn't base my ratings solely on size.

We did the Prisoner. Given the allotted space they had to work with, I would say they made good use of it. There's enough space to walk around, and it really set the atmosphere of the story.

Each clue was only used for one puzzle, and there were enough hints to be able to logically connect them to the appropriate locks.

There was a clear sense of progression as you solved each puzzle, allowing you to move towards the next step of the story. Several clues were related to the story itself, and that's always good design.

The only drawback to me is the amount of space they have to work with, given that they decided to run 5 different games concurrently, since you're paying the same price as pretty much everywhere else

Had a great experience here - the staff were super friendly & accommodating, even when a few members of our group were running a bit late.

We did The Prisoners room. Really fun. Interesting, challenging puzzles, without ever feeling unachievable. Room is cleverly designed to encourage teamwork across the different prison cells. When our group needed a clue, the staff were great at being helpful without spoiling the experience.

Overall, lots of fun. Highly recommend.

This place is good, I've played all their rooms. They are constantly trying to improve their rooms, so make sure to play their newer rooms because their older rooms are worn down. This place is so expensive for what you receive and the staff always look bored and hide away behind the extra tall front counter. Not my favorite place, if it is your first time, then don't go here, because you may think that all room escapes are going to cost an arm and a leg.

Possibly the worst customer service you will ever receive. The OWNER refused to give us a refund after an error in scheduling was made by THEM. He told us to "Let it go". What kind of business treats customers likes this? There's a ton of escape rooms in Toronto, you can skip this one.

It's one of the best escape rooms in Toronto. The staffs were very friendly and accomodating. We really felt that we're inside the cell (for The Prisoner room). Some of my friends were really scared and panicking because of the handcuffs. The puzzles were arranged accordingly and some of them were easy to solve. It was really fun. We'll try to visit again soon.

Did the Mummy themed room and was wildly disappointed. The only thing this place has going for it is location. The staff were disengaged and the room we did was fairly basic. The whole place was dirty and in disrepair. I've done dozens of rooms before and this was one of the least enjoyable experiences I've had. Would not recommend.

We got there early for the Final Destination 2.0 escape room so they put us in right away. At first we were off to a rough start but we did manage to finish in 63 minutes, obviously we didn't make it per say but they did let us finish so we could brag that we did it. The only thing I would say if you are in a group is to focus together and not start trying to solve everything separately. There is an order to things and you can quickly get side tracked! But most important, have fun!!!

My first room I did was the prisoner room and it is awesome and from there on I was hooked! I've done every room there and my favourite one is the ninja room!!! Staff was super nice and efficient with having my room ready to go and answered all my questions before I even asked them! Definitely recommend

We had so much fun! I played all the rooms, and each room was unique and clever. I found that the puzzles were logic, and that all the knowledge required could be found inside the rooms. The rooms were suited for all the ages, and they were extremely fun. The design of the rooms are extremely realist and authentic, you wont regret it! Also the staff is great and super knowledgeable about the rooms. I wish they had more rooms, so I could come back. I highly recommend Roundabout Canada, it is 10/10!

Great service, fun puzzles! Very atmospheric and detailed. On the smaller size, so slightly cramped, we did the Butcher room with 4 people and any more wouldn't have fit. Would definitely go back to try the other puzzles.

I've visited Roundabout twice now and I have had incredible experiences here! The rooms are so well decorated and the scenarios feel so immersive and exciting. The clues are challenging but clever, each one will logically guide you to the next step...even if it takes a while! The location is convenient, has a bathroom and lockers, and it's super easy to book online and select your choice of payment. ADDITIONALLY the staff here are amazing! Shoutout to Andrea and Audrey for being wonderful hosts and guides! BEST ESCAPE ROOMS IN TORONTO!

Loved the Jail Escape Room here. Challenging, but a ton of fun to do. Very immersive and realistic! Solved it in time with no clues needed, so I'd call this intermediate level for difficulty.
Had a tough time on the Butcher's Basement though and needed to call for several clues to solve. Art was great though. Creepy room. Tougher room to solve, and we found some clues were premature and threw us off track a bit.
Both of these rooms were on the dark side too, which makes it tough to see things unless you have the flashlight in hand. I find I prefer better lit rooms so I can explore more freely, and see the small numbers on the locks better.
Price was typical- $25 range.

There are 5 different theme rooms. The room settings are so well created! Super fun and memorable! I saw a lot of smiles and compliments from people coming out of the rooms, including myself of course! Would definitely recommend to try all the rooms! Leave Diamond Creed room to the last though. It's the most difficult level one and you'd want to be ready!

Okay room though a little expensive for what it was. I suppose it's the downtown location. Mostly locked boxes, so that aspect was a little disappointing. Fairly tight for a larger group and the room was easier which was fine for the beginners in our group. No leaps of logic or prior knowledge required. Good props and setup. I'll probably go back to try some more. Just wish there was a little tech use to give beginners that "wow" moment when a bookshelf slides away or a trap door suddenly swings open that I experienced during my first few escape games.

So much fun! This place had very clever games that made sense as you solved them, but were not too easy or boring. I thought the puzzles were well suited to my average intelligence and average general knowledge. Also because we were the only ones there, they gave us extra time! Very nice and awesome fun!

Enjoyed the butcher shop escape room. Good series of puzzles and a relatively immersive atmosphere. Solved one of the puzzles in the wrong order by happenstance, which solved the game...but I'm thinking we were just that good.

This was an awesome escape room! We did the Ninja themed one, but I would love to come back for more. There were no padlock puzzles at all, it was all about creatively using the room to solve the puzzles. Very clever, lots of surprises. Happy to announce that we passed our exam and are now Shinobi ninjas

Not bad. Some of the puzzles are hard, not because it is changing to figure out, but rather it is difficult to complete which I find a little annoying. I enjoy having my brain tested and not my ability to manipulate annoying little rails and balls and things. That being said, the rooms are on theme and the experience is good. I would go again.

Experience unfortunately started off on the wrong foot. Issues paying debit as machine was not working. Entered it manually by then friends didn't work. 1 min process took about 5. Was nice having a locker to put things into but didn't like how our locker was opened before we got out of the room. There's no reason not to give us the key to hold onto. But the over all was positive. Did the Butchers room and had fun putting our minds to the test and trying to work together. Was just 2 of us but I feel more than 4 would be way too crowded in this one. I'd come back and do another no problem.

Successfully escaped Final Destination, the first ...

Successfully escaped Final Destination, the first one I've done here, with 2 friends. We all enjoyed the experience, though there is only a loose story theme.
Not a lot of space in the lounge, and I would think that any more than 4 in the escape room would be too much, though I think it's on par with other escape room locations.
I liked how there were a few puzzles that could be worked in parallel, so that people can work on different clues. As opposed to having to work through them one at a time in sequence.
I was surprised that in the intro, they explained and showed us the locks we would be encountering. Though it quickly proved useful as there were some non-standard locks that we could have wasted lots of time on.
Thank you too our host Queenie, who did a great job answering our questions before the game, and carefully giving us a hint when we were stuck. Not too obvious, but just enough to nudge us back on track.
Will be back again to tackle another room.

Boyfriend and I did the Butcher themed room recently and had lots of fun! The staff were very kind and let us start before our scheduled time because we're early to everything haha. The room itself was bigger than expected for such an apparently small location, we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere and props in the room were well seemingly maintained and very appropriate for the theme!

The one complaint we had was that one certain puzzle (no spoilers) didn't make much sense. It involved going back to something you didn't use in the beginning, but there was no indication or way to know that we should have gone back to it. We were trying to figure out how it could have made sense afterwards but couldn't think of a way for it to.

Other than that one thing we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will for sure be trying out on of the other rooms when we are back in the area!!

I have been to a lot of escape rooms in Toronto and this was by far my favourite. I have only done the butchers room so far, but it was excellent; very well thought out, great design and excellent logic tests/puzzles. They also work lighting (or lack of!) into it and music/sounds to make it feel more real. I went in a group of 4 and we were all challenged by it for sure. Staff were great and great location. I would absolutely go back to do other rooms.

We had an amazing time in the Butcher's Basement room. The room set up was fantastic and the puzzles were the perfect level of difficulty for us. Big shout-out to Sophie. She was helpful and explained everything really well

My only feedback would be that many of the props could use some TLC and maintenance. Some of the clues we're a tad difficult to solve because the props were not functioning the way they were supposed to. (Can't say much else without ruining the game!)

Thanks Ladies!

Our room was delayed for 30 minutes or so.. probably due to another group before us coming late or delay on top of delay (i didn't ask) . the room overall was well designed and every problem was flowing and interactive. clues refer back and forth from rooms which is a big plus. some escape rooms' clues start and finish in a room (which does get boring and easy really quick) . Other than the delay, great staff and friendly. will go again. They are also an 'alliance' with other escape rooms that's well loved around toronto area, check their website to find out more

I went there recently and my experience was "AMAZING" there! I played their newest Ninja room this time, and I did really enjoy it. The room are well decorated, clean, and spacious. My boyfriend and I spent 50 minutes to escape (we had 10 mins left YAY!). I'd say the puzzles inside the room are definitely a combination of easy and hard ones. Besides the Ninja room, they have other 4 different rooms for you to try. I like all of their rooms, especially the butcher and the prisoner. If you're new to this, I'd recommend to start with the butcher or final destination room. The staff is really friendly and helpful when you struggle with the puzzles in the room.

We did the mummy themed escape room. Overall, it wasn't too challenging, the puzzles were pretty well done, and the overall feel of the room was enough to have you invested, but nothing super high fidelity. I'd say it was definitely enough to provide a fun escape room challenge, but nothing over the top.
