As my 2 yr wedding anniversary is approaching this...

As my 2 yr wedding anniversary is approaching this month, I figured enough time has passed now that I can give my honest review without letting my emotions get the best of me. We chose this venue because it was beautiful, great location and we had heard good things about it. Everything was great, until we signed our contract. Once we had signed it felt like we had just become a number. Michelle was our wedding coordinator and she is a sweet person, but it seemed like she had too much on her plate. Communication became difficult- emails had slipped through the cracks and she either didn't respond or it would take a week to respond. I started to feel uneasy, but not much we could do because of the contract. Fast forward to rehearsal night- we checked in and met with Michelle were she took us to the ballroom that we would be getting married in. Once she led us there, she left shortly afterwards and said she would stop back by or we could call her if we had any questions. We did have some questions/concerns so we tried to contact her and that was unsuccessful. Wedding day comes- still unable to get ahold of Michelle and couldn't find her for good part of the day. Thankfully I have a great mother and friends/family that were helping with setting things up for the wedding and reception. Finally, some things were handled. It's now time for the reception and as my bridal party, my husband and I were waiting outside the ballroom so we can be announced my father comes out to tell me that some of my guests are standing up with no table to be seated at. Prior to the wedding I was given the paperwork with the breakdown of how many tables and how many seats at each table would be for the reception. Based on this information I created the seating chart. For some reason it wasn't noticed while the staff was setting everything up and caused this confusion. They ended up having 1 table less than originally stated and just adding an additional seat to each table. Completely messed up my seating arrangements. Finally that got resolved. Enjoyed our time at the reception until it was time to leave. We had called for someone to come assist us with moving the wedding presents from the reception room to the honeymoon suite we were to be staying at. The baggage handler came and started stacking the presents not being careful and dropped a package that shattered. Not even really caring he was like oops and continued loading things up. We spent the next few hours dealing with hotel security and management who wanted us to all get together and open the shattered package to document on the report the damage and worth. Problem was- it was shattered and we had no idea what it was. It put us in such a bad mood that we ended up leaving the hotel and not even staying in the honeymoon suite. We were never reimbursed for not staying in the suite nor were we offered to stay another time. Any future brides- please be careful when selecting this venue. These events plus others that weren't mentioned, put way more stress on our big day than there should have been.

The check-in process was very smooth. I even had complication with my payment, but they worked with me and my company to get all charges arranged as quickly as possible. The room was great. The facilities are excellent.

This cat Harris Rosen knows how to run a hotel. It has everything you need on the premises, deli, pizza, upscale, restaurants, affordable restaurant, sports bar type lounge, awesome pool with access to the bar.

The room was clean and the staff were supposed friendly. When we asked for things they responded quickly with a smile. I would definitely stay here again.

Pretty decent for an older hotel. Greaf location to the west concourse of the Orlando convention center. Quick walk across to the South concourse. Got stuck in an ADA accessible room but I also checked in really early in the morning, so that was a trade off. Pricing seems decent for the area and there is a good amount of restaurants to go to I side as well as a 24 hour Walgreens next door.

This hotel gets 5 stars! Valet service was great! Rooms are modern and very clean. Towels and linens were clean. The shampoo/condition/shower gel and lotions smell really good and leave you hair soft. Great water pressure. Great location...close to many food establishments and amusement parks.

Delicious Brunch with Mimosa's made our Easter Sunday. The food was very good. Best mashed potatoes ever. We love the roasted vegetables and cold selections like shrimp and crab legs.

There was a full omelet, pancakes, bagels, bacon, ham sausage and on and on breakfast hot buffet. Or roll on over to the hot food. Really nice carving stations. Sushi rolls were good. Pasta station was amazing just like Christmas brunch.

The desserts are an event. From the chocolate fountain to the mini pastries, mousse, cakes, and confections, to the plentiful assorted fresh fruits, there is something for everyone. Or create your own cheese board and order some dessert wine.

The staff is so nice and professional. We are local and always appreciate the excellent servers. Bravo Rosen crew. Very nice work.

Rosen Centre has wonderful service, restaurants, and have nice kept rooms. Unfortunately they seem to advertise free parking and free Wifi, this is not true. Wifi cost money after your one day free trial and parking is $15.00 for non valet. Such little things are what even 2-star hotels can provide. I was not 100% disappointed, but I was also not 100% satisfied for the price of it all. I will not rule them out, but they will not be my first pick when returning for next years convention.

Nice clean updated rooms, small refrigerator, mini coffee maker. Several restaurants in an extensive lobby area. Connection to the convention center. Other restaurants close by in all price ranges. Has a gym but costs at least $15... not that nice to go to the gym. Outdoor pool looked inviting, several kids swimming. Interesting place. Looks like they were trying to give it a unique look with the several in-house restaurants.

Decent food options, but not open enough hours. Fairly high prices for food and drinks, but great local beer selection. The rooms were fine, decent size, comfortable, not particularly fancy. Service was very good.

I got to stay here through a third party app but after this stay I don't know how I could stay anywhere else. This is a 5 star experience across the board. The hotel, staff, and service was nothing less than perfect. Very professional and very clean.

TERRIBLE HOTEL! You need to pay for the gym, spa, breakfast, small amenities which should be included in a hotel that is close to $250 a night i.e. you don't get what you pay for. They claimed that other hotels charge a "resort fee" but when I stayed at the Hilton nearby there was no such charge. Carpets are dusty, the room isn't very clean, little to none maintainince especially with a noisy toilet, and it isn't very asthetically pleasing. Terrible customer service especially when it comes to room service...it seems like no one wants to do their job. I left a bag with expensive company decals by mistake after checkout and when I went back to look for it they told me one of the maids threw it away which is ridiculous. Bottom line is...there are better hotels out there.

What a difference! The Rosen Centre Hotel has updated their rooms and it's incredible! Also the menus at several of their restaurants has greatly improved - both in the quality & taste of the food, as well as the discounted pricing for groups. Well done Rosen Centre!

2015- The Rosen Centre Hotel provided our company with a spectacular Christmas party venue. The wait and bar staff were patient and accommodating and the ballroom was beautiful. Managers and employees of the Deardoff group all agreed that the food was that of 5 star quality. I d also like to give a special thanks to Michelle Williams, Event Coordinator extraordinaire for planning our event. Michelle use a great amount of TLC with me as we weeded through all of our event details. I am convinced that Michelle is the best Event Manager I have ever met. Please give her a round of applause for us! I will definitely recommend the Rosen Centre and the event venues to anyone who is looking for a great place to relax or have a fantastic corporate event.

2014- Ford of Clermont hosted our holiday party at Rosen Centre Hotel. We were very impressed with the entire team at the hotel from the event planning team to the wait staff. I would highly recommend this hotel to any business looking for an upscale establishment to host an event.

Just checked out of the hotel this morning. My family along with our 2 dogs were evacuated from SW Florida for Hurricane Irma. The staff at the Rosen were absolutely amazing, making accommodations for all and allowing family's to bring pets no questions asked. They were very prepared and made every concession to make sure all the guests were comfortable and felt safe. We will definitely be booking with company for our future trips to Orlando!

Very nice hotel, nice view, and conveniently close to the park (Disney world) I have no idea what the cost was, but I get the feeling I should be happy that my orchestra spent 3 months fundraising for this trip......

Here for a conference. The good: There is a little deli in the lobby that is reasonably priced and rocks. My room was large and well appointed with a jacuzzi. The bad: Housekeeping barges in on you so be sure to use the security latch on your door and don't forget the do not disturb tag. They also start very early. With a 6 hour time difference I was hoping to sleep in my first day but it was really noisy once housekeeping started cleaning adjacent rooms. The ugly: I've never stayed anywhere that charges for use of the gym. They hit you with a $15 flat fee for the length of your stay. Poor form Rosen...especially when the alternative is jogging in 100% humidity.

Lobby is very nice. Conference rooms are very nice. There is one real restaurant that is expensive, one buffet, and two food "kiosks" - the tapas and sushi places.

The room appears nice, but quality is sub-par. The pillows are crunchy and tough. The bathroom had a mildew smell I could not place, but it might have been the mold on the grout. Also, when I got in bed, quite a bit of dirt / lint was stuck to my foot that got in the bed - it was as if they did not vacuum. I also stepped on some noticeable debris or something. They really should check the vacuums or how people vacuum. Gross..

My biggest issue was with the wifi. It might be free now, but you get what you pay for...nothing. About 8pm, the wifi crawls to a stall. I did some speed tests and it came in at .1mb. My cell phone came in at 2mb. That is not acceptable. Talked to managers both nights and no one seemed to care a whole lot, in fact they argued with me that they don't know how that could be. I testing in my room and lobby with my laptop and tablet and all results were consistent. Don't stay here if you want wifi that works.

Poor Cancellation Services. I had a reservation online and they charged my credit card in full immediately 30 days prior my stay. I called the hotel and they refuse to cancel, refund or change anything. They said they can do nothing on this. Never want to come back to this hotel.

Traveling for business I spend 2-3 nights a week in a hotel. This was one of the most over rated ones I have ever had the discomfort of staying at.
1) They charge to use the gym. It is only $15 for your stay, but they still charge. They gym is well equipped for a hotel facility.
2) They leave one coffee package in the room. A room with two beds and they accommodate one person.
3) They have 3 restaurants. One operates as a buffet, and they have an automatic 18% gratuity on the bill. So you may only get one cup of coffee, like I did.
4) The evening restaurant appears nice.
5) The elevators are fast, so if you are on an upper floor you get there quickly.
6) The best part, and probably why they are sill in business is the sky walk to the convention center. It does cause a lot of excess foot traffic.
7) they administer a $5 fee to watch your bags if your room is not ready or if you are checking out early.
8) they have a $3 fee for "express" checkout.

If you must stay in the area choose a main stream hotel line.

We came here after staying at a Marriott Vacation ...

We came here after staying at a Marriott Vacation Club in Orlando and we were sorely disappointed.
Upon arrival, we were met by a very rude and pushy woman working the valet who would not allow us to park temporarily while I checked in (with my wife & baby in the car). I mentioned this when checking in and was told that a 3rd party handles their parking (no mention of "I'll be sure to pass along the feedback to management").
We got into our room and it had a strong musty smell. I was more concerned with getting the crib that I requested and was told would be in my room upon arrival days in advance. I had mentioned this at check in and the agent acknowledged it was in the notes but there was no crib in the room. I called down and was told it would be right up. 40 minutes passed and I called again. Over an hour from check in, the crib finally arrived and my baby had been screaming from being overdue for a nap (the reason why I called days ahead and hours ahead before check in).
The next morning we woke up to sore throats from the AC that would not turn off in the room. I later found out that my coworkers experienced the same issue. By day 3, everyone was having respiratory issues from the air quality.
The valets continued to be extremely pushy throughout the trip, often rushing my wife to the point where she thought they might take off with the baby in the car. On the plus side, they were always fast with retrieving the car and helpful with baggage but whoever is running the operation is so focused on throughput that it felt pushy every time we parked.
I got an Amazon package delivered to the hotel and they charged a $12 handling fee, something no Marriott property has ever done and something I'd maybe expect at a very high-end hotel, which this is not.
Overall, we did not like this hotel mostly due to poor service, being overpriced for what it was and the tight room that stunk like something you'd expect at a Motel 6.

Love it here. My go to for a mini staycation. Love the pool side deck restaurant and I never leave without placing a massage. The food options are endless. The drinks are delicious and the staff are usually pleasant helpful and organized.
