Very educational. Its not a giant zoo. For what it is it is worth the trip. Lots of animals. The kids will surely love it. Pretty clean and put together. Active duty get in free with dependants. Lots of events going on there. Very very scenic during the summer/fall time. Not bad in the winter either. Lots to do inside.

The zoo has gotten better over the years but could definitely use more income to better some of its now antiquated exhibts.I do know they are working on things. But these are things that have been long needed. They apply too much attention to some exhibts than others.

Great and inexpensive zoo! When we were there the penguins were being fed and having a blast! Great for kids and families. Not too much of a walk, like some other zoos. The path pretty much leads you directly around the zoo, seeing all the animals.

5 star zoo when you consider the cost and how busy it is. There isn't crowding at exhibits, and there are things here that large zoos don't have. The Red Panda exhibit is far better than what I saw at the National Zoo in DC. Winter and the shoulder seasons aren't as busy but there are some missing amenities. Glad we have it.

Very cute little zoo! The elephants were playing in the water, so that was fun to watch.
It was really hot the day we went, so a lot of the animals were hiding in the shade to keep cool.

Many many animals to see in decent sized enclosure. While the elephants weren't outside it looks like in Summer they have a ton of room to roam in their enclosure. Our kids really like the leopards and monkey house. We made our reservation as late in day as possible and must be feeding time is closing time because many animals were getting very active. Lady who we paid at front was very short and rude and cashier in gift shop was not very friendly but zookeepers taking care of animals were mostly very friendly and nice. Would definitely go back.

It has been a couple of years since our last visit, and you can see the improvements. The squid display, the elephant exhibit, and the primates. Have always enjoyed this zoo, and during the winter, it was nice to see the wolves having fun, and the penguins are always fun to watch. During January and February admission is half price which is a bonus. If it is too cold outside their are enough indoor exhibits to make it worthwhile. A nice little zoo.

Spent a lovely afternoon at the Zoo today. I ve been a member for a few years and have also adopted animals. When I called to reserve a day and time, I spoke with Mary. She is absolutely a wonderful representative of the Zoo as her personality is excellent. When my girlfriend and I arrived at the Zoo, we were greeted by Sia and she too is exceptional in her position. Great staff! The weather was perfect for walking the Zoo and seeing all the animals. The Zoo really is an excellent experience for all. The animals are well cared for as when you observe them, it s easy to see. The Zoo is very clean and all visitors/staff that we observed were following the Covid guidelines. If you have the opportunity, please visit as you will be thrilled and not disappointed.

it was very interesting how that added in the dinosaurs into the zoo so that you could learn a little about the past and the present all in one place. the new elephant enclosure is awesome, got to watch the baby playing in the water for about 15 min.

Half of the exhibits are empty and have been for months. They renovated over by the elephants but the directions on the big board that is posted leads you to believe the path no longer continues in a circle. Thankfully there were 2 zoo workers walking by so I asked about that. They apologized and said the map posted was misleading and incorrect. They also have added a miniature carousel ride for a cost of $3.00. You can't purchase tickets there unfortunately, you need to walk to another location. You must have exact cost because if you pay with a $5 or $10 bill (etc) you do not get your change back. You can only receive tokens. I also tried getting a bottle of water from a vending machine next to the carousel ride. I lost 5 one dollar bills in that machine! Ridiculous! I don't expect to bring my grandchildren to the zoo and not spend quite a bit of money, however I don't expect to spend a lot of money and see empty enclosures, get ripped off on a carousel ride and also from a vending machine. It's been months animals have been missing from exhibits. You're better off going to The Wild in Chittenango. They have so many animals you can't see at the zoo, ever.

We love our zoo. It's big enough that our kids learn something new every time we go (we are members and go often) but small enough that my 4 & 6 year old can walk the whole thing. The staff is caring and the animals are always cool to see.

Great place to bring my granddaughter while my daughter was at downtown conference for the day. There is much walking like any zoo, but able to see the animals up close and the price was more economical than than any other zoo I have been to!

The zoo is such a wonderful place! I bring my kids so they can be given a chance to have fun and experience all the wonderful things the Rosamond Giffard Zoo has to offer! The elephants, the primates, the turtles, tigers and the penguins too are just some of the things that the zoo has to offer! Great place, for the price of admission.
