Was a fantastic experience for the entire family. Pricing is very very reasonable for the whole family with ample parking. We grabbed a quick bite to eat their which was reasonable in pricing and food was good. Tons to see for all ages, and staff were fantastic if asked questions, or just interacting with them. This is accessible for all people walking or not. Boys ages 6 and 7 loved it, and on top of it, the weather was extremely hot so they set up spray areas all around the park so you can cool down, plus seating placed all throughout the park.

Love this zoo. Love the animals. Very clean. Animals are very well taken care of. Lots of animals to see, lots of things for kids to do. A great place for a family trip or animal lovers alike like myself. If you are bringing a group, have lunch beforehand. The food is ridiculously priced, as expected. Admission is cheap and fair. Great for sensory as well.

Admission is affordable, however we did have to wait in line after being asked to go to that line for the clerk to return to the register, some enclosures were sad looking but one must keep in mind this is an older zoo, the indoor exhibits today (lemurs, cats) were humid & had a slight scent of urine, a water station & another snack/ice cream cart were not open (out by the tigers) the Jungle Cafe was very busy, polite staff, but out of utensils, nice benches throughout the park, sand pit for the kids to play in, we also went during the dinosaur invasion & my kids loved it! (Ages 4,4 & almost 6) Overall we were pleased.

Great zoo! It took is a bit to get there but so very worth it. The last zoo we were at was the Binghamton one. The animals looked so unhappy. Here they were active and looked healthy. There's an aviary where you walk through and the birds fly free in the building. There's a great elephant set up, the penguins hammed it up for pictures and we even managed to come on a day when there were animatronic dinosaurs! Best zoo around here, I'd say!

We are annual pass holders and this year already I was disappointed. Some of the exhibits are run down and dirty, especially the bears. The exhibit is mangy, there isn t a lot of action for them. Then the place where the lion used to be is old and worn and needs to be update with new animals.

Had an amazing time - easy to find all the exhibits you are looking for and the park is well laid out. Make sure to check out the elephants! Best time to go is in the morning or afternoon - try to avoid the open air exhibits around noon as the animals try to relax in the shade

Went for superhero day kids loved the zoo but I was dissapointed to read in the paper today that they had superhero events that there was no sign or info given to us when we got there about such events. Normally there are overhead annoucments but there were none of those either. They could have enjoyed more if we had known.

Zoo is pretty decent for a small city like Syracuse. Lots of species of plants and animals. Big attraction is the Asian Elephants. They also have monkeys, river otters, a Male lion, two Bengal tigers, two bears, a bunch of penguins and countless other birds, fish and reptiles. If you're local or nearby and visit quite a bit then I suggest a family annual membership which should pay back within just 5 or 6 visits.

Reviewing this for what it is. Good size zoo. Can do the whole thing at a comfortable pace in about 3 hours. Two adults and two youths is about $28. Lunch items at the restaurant/cafeteria is about $7, includes items like burgers, hotdogs and sandwiches. They also sell snack items like pretzels. The zoo is open 362 days of the year (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's only!). Note in winter (when we went) quite a few animals were not present. This is understandable I think so be prepared. Parking is free.

Small town zoo with a big town feel. There is a large variety of animals in exhibits that allow fine viewing without being too close. You can cover the entire zoo in a couple hours, but I recommend planning longer to really see everything. Take a camera with a long telephoto lens. We felt sad for Doc, the elephant, who mostly rocked side-to-side and didn't seem to know how to interact with the other elephants (a fault we attributed more to his past life in the circus than to the zoo), and were lucky to have the male lion go right up to the glass barrier and put on a roaring show mere inches away from us!

This is such a fantastic zoo and I'm so glad my family and I took the time to visit when we were looking at Syracuse University. A really great variety of animals including some I haven't seen in much larger zoos. Highly recommend.
