Great hearty comfort food paired with an extensive and varied beer list. Had the Chef's Plate which gives you a 1/2 rotisserie chicken, pate, cracklin, leg confit and a fresh roll. This is get your hands dirty, stick to your ribs food. Walnut Herb and the Tandoori were the standout sauces from my perspective. The polenta side was well done, but the beets weren't really anything special. There is a lot more to try that I look forward to sampling next time. Around 8 craft beers on tap that hit a lot of different styles and a lot of bottle selections as well. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

The food was so good.. my Bestfriend took me here on my Birthday. That staff where nice.
They have these duck fat chicken wings oh my world They are so good.
They also have a side sauce called salsa Verde... it tastes amazing I wish I would have taken some home with me... and for the 1st time ever I had some Truffle Fries ... the prices are fair. I dont mind the price because the food was great. And they server enough I had left over...
Cant wait to go back to this place.

Best rotisserie chicken I have ever had and the sides were not far off. The service was great and the atmosphere friendly. I can't wait to come back. It is a friendly spot for kids as well. A great beer selection and creative drinks are another plus.

Great natural choices. Not a fast food establishment...but good craft beers on tap. Expect to wait but well worth it.

The calamari was delicious especially because they had the full bodies which I love. I had the Chicken Parma which was out of this world and had a great hot pepper relish to kick it up a notch. The Tito's cranberry mule was also delish.

Heard great things about this place, so I stopped by Friday 10/20/2017 for lunch and ordered a salad at the bar. The bartender was friendly, I told him I was there to check the place out for our office holiday party. Surprisingly, it took 40 minutes to get my salad. The bartender apologized and said the kitchen was backed up. (Hmmm I wondered. If they can t handle a salad in a timely manner, how confident am I that they can handle a party?) I asked the folks sitting on either side of me at the bar what they thought of this place. They said the food was great and the service is normally better than this (I see a few other reviews here about slow service). The bartender apologized for the unreasonable wait time and ended up not charging me for the salad, which I appreciated. The quality of my salad (with grilled chicken) was indeed spectacular. High points for that. The bartender handed me a business card and asked me to contact Alex to book a party, so I immediately emailed Alex from my phone (willing to give them a chance to redeem themselves). But alas 3 days have passed without a reply. I also submitted an inquiry via the website contact form the same day, but no response from that either. It s too bad, because the food and atmosphere are perfect, but the slow service and lack of response have made me decide to have our party elsewhere.

UPDATED 10/24/2017 - I was back today at 1 p.m. and ordered another salad at the bar. I received it within 15 minutes. Alex, the event coordinator, was there. I shared my previous review and concerns with her. I found the food and the atmosphere impressive, but was concerned about service. Could they handle a party? She apologized and assured me they could. So I took a deep breath and booked the party. Hoping for a successful event! :)

Great place! Rotisserie chicken is great! Love the BBQ sauce! Desert brownie is great!

Been looking for a place around the Middletown Cromwell area to eat for quite awhile. Landed on roosterco after being in the Newington area. Are we pleased! The food we received was delicious. Obviously during COVID times the food isn t going to taste the exact same as it would if we had in dining service. Let me summarize. This place needs to come to Middletown main! We would be there all of the time!

The Rooster Co. had a great atmosphere, quite warm and inviting, all while managing to stay very modern. A large, tasty menu and a large, award winning bar go well together. Their products are locally and sustainablely sourced, which is great to see. However, I felt the prices, for the food being offered, were high. I had the filet mignon and baked potato, and although it was very good, I did not feel it commanded it's 34$ price tag. Or, a side of Mac and Cheese for 8$. All being said, I'll be back.

Great fresh food. Everything was delicious. My daughter is 3, a picky eater like most 3 year olds and loved everything on her plate. We were there for brunch buffet for a birthday. We had chicken & waffles, fresh berries, scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon and these small sausages that reminded me of individual keilbas. Very good and very fresh. I will be coming hear again to try dinner and brunch again.

I really like this place. Been trying to eat less meat & dairy tho, & there's surpringly few menu options that don't include one or the other. Strange thing about that is I'm pretty sure their sister restaurant is Flora in west htfd, whuch is almost exclusively plant-based.

Duck was cooked perfectly and paired with delicious sides. Staff was very friendly and constantly checked in

You can buy a complete rotisserie chicken at your local grocery store for 6 bucks, so im not quite sure why it costs 30 bucks for a same product. In addition you have to buy your sides separately. The cost is just insane for what your getting, doesn't make sense to eat here unless you like to waste your money

Food was ok, and the wait was extremely long. But, it was mother's day. We were annoyed because we weren't seated for 30 minutes after our reservation.

If you want Damn good chicken, this is the place for you. Fun for my family and cool for my date nights!

Mac and cheese special on Wednesday was amazing, best Mac and cheese I've ever had! Draft beer was fresh and fantastic! It was only loud because of the amount today people enjoying that business!

Great menu selection. The chefs do a great job with the many different ways to prepare chicken.

Perfect Saturday afternoon lunch with our 9 month old. Wait staff was friendly and knew exactly how to wait on a family with small children.
Food was all very good, Mac and cheese, Philly Sangwiches and Mmm the Polenta was awesome.

Came here for Sunday brunch. Ordered the combo deal of 1/2 rotisserie chicken and home fries. The chicken as always was good. I requested the home fries crispy but they were served cold, dry and mushy. I couldn t eat them at all. Did tell the waiter about them but he didn t seem concerned. Also to note I asked for the glazed donut sausage sandwich to sub for the bacon that came with the combo (same exact price) and was charged a $2 up charge. It was fine with me but when the sandwich came out the donut crumbled and tasted dry. Must have been either package purchased or at least a day or two old. Unfortunately this was not their best performance. May try again next time but not this combo

This place has great Sunday brunch and great craft beer on tap. Also great ambience in a cute part of town.

This place has great affordable brunch items. Parking was very easy as well with town parking right in the back. Their home fries were on point without being too burnt or not fried enough. Highly recommend!

Awesome rotisserie chicken and polenta was amazing. Not too many places have it and considering they're not an Italian restaurant it was very good if not some of the best I've had. Kate, server was amazing and on point. Very happy and will be back.

Food is good but not fantastic. Too much weirdness/drama behind the bar. Don't like having my credit card charged for other peoples drinks or shots for the bartenders. Three separate occasions my credit card had other peoples drinks charged to the card. Once, an entire dinner was charged to my card (without my permission). I go to an establishment to have fun and relax, not get be peppered with snide remarks, rude comments, and insults. The rude comments by the staff are uncalled for and unprofessional. There is an attitude I prefer not to experience again. The icing on the cake was, the hysterical threats of calling the police when I tried to complain to the owner.

Really you should go every night because the food and drinks are always good but then they have great specials each night. Oh and go for happy hour too.

The cocktails were on the weak side. Prices were reasonable. Service quite good. Some of the dishes were very good like the cheesesteak sliders and bucatini with meatballs. Other dishes were just ok, but still decent.

Rooster Co. is the only restaurant that I order chicken from. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is great.

The delivery through uber eats was a disaster. The order was wrong. They forgot 2 salads off the order and told me to reorder through the app again to receive my food. Overall I was charged over 100.00 and me and my coworker ate bland ass soup and some corn bread. Then the uber driver took the food and never delivered it. They or uber eats won't ever get my money again.
