Food was just okay. Nice atmosphere and server. Corn bread tasted like boxed Jiffy. Pasta was underdone. waited forever to get the check. Too bad, had high expectations, really wanted to like it.

Great food & decor, my favorite for either a special or just a relaxing dinner out.

We rent the back room once a year and they are great! Great food and great service.

Service and food are both superb. Enjoyed rotisserie chicken, arugula salad, philly steak app. Love the dim lighting and warm yet industrial vibe.

Fantastic rotisserie chicken. Tender and juicy consistently - this is one of our "go-to"s and we live out in Vernon. The cornbread is a good side dish, and I usually start with the greens salad, which is hearty and lightly dressed.

The service was bad the waitress seemed annoyed. We went for a birthday party there were 11 of us. The waitress never really came back to check on us. The only person that was friendly was the bartender. I give him 5 stars.

This place had a lively atmosphere, and was pretty busy. The rotisserie chicken is really tender and flavorful on its own.

I've had good dining experiences the few times I've come here. The food is tasty, and a lot is locally sourced. The particular strength of the restaurant is the service, they go above and beyond most places.

The food was quite good with a reasonable selection of items to choose from. Very accommodating to making changes for a vegetarian. A bit pricey though.

Such a great place that's serves amazing chicken and waffles! It was so flavorful and hits all the right taste buds. The chocolate chip ice cream sandwich was pretty delicious as well. My money well spent!

First time there and we loved it. While the food was very good, our server (Claire) made the difference from the moment we arrived. Attentive but not bothersome. We had the pork belly appetizer which was delicious. I had Mac and cheese and my adult son had the chefs plate. Both were delicious. We will be back soon.

One of the best places in Newington. I have been to this spot many time and am always happy to come back. Personally I have food retrictions so whenever I come and ask them to specialize a meal the chefs do a great job. I am always happy with their service wether its a drink or food. The owners are also great. You can see that they put all of themselves into this place and that energy is always floating around the dinning room.
Drinks are always perfect if not a little better than most places.
If you love beers, they have great choices at all times of the year.
And if youre someone who cares to know where your food comes from, this is a place for you. The waitors always know where the meat is from and if they dont remember of the top of their heads, they wont mind asking someone with more knowledge.
I give Rooster Co five thumbs up for their great service, amazing farm friendly food and an always changing menu that will keep you coming back excited to see new items.

Great food and exceptional service. We visited here 3 times in 10 days. The first visit was for drinks. The Lemon Rickey was sweet and refreshing. We also had calamari, which was tender and flavorful. The second visit was for Sunday brunch after seeing the chef on a local news show preparing CT Clam and Corn Chowder Bruschetta. Even though it is not normally part of their brunch menu, they were kind enough to prepare it for us. It was delicious, which is saying something since I typically don't eat corn or clams! The chicken and waffles were tasty. The waffle had just the right amount of fluff and crispness. The chicken cutlet was panko-breaded and seasoned to perfection. The maple mustard syrup was tangy and sweet. The VT cheddar omelette with walnut pesto was good as well. Our last visit was on Monday night (fried chicken night). We have deep southern roots, so we know good chicken. Oh my did they get it right! It was crispy, juicy, well-seasoned and piping hot! I could see the juices running and steam rising every time a bite was taken. It was served with mashed potatoes and green peas. The peas were a bit sparse, but who needs large sides when you are eating half of a chicken?? And top it off, the service was EXCELLENT each and every time! Every server, as well as the manager, was helpful, friendly,and attentive. We plan to return again and again!

The food and drink selection is great especially for a nice meal with good friends and/or family. It has usually been a little slower for the food to come out but if that's what makes the food so delicious, I would wait longer. There's also no guild as the food has always been very fresh. One of my favorite spots in Connecticut and the North East as a whole.

Good lord this mac & cheese with chicken is perfect. Other options on the menu as well featuring their amazingly juicy and delicious chicken. Well worth a visit

Great, fresh food and the service was excellent too. It was a nice quiet atmosphere for a relaxing dinner out. Plenty of parking behind the restraunt too.

The rotisserie chicken is amazing as always but service not so good. Even during non-busy times, the wait staff really makes you wait. We were planning on ordering desert but the wait was so long that we ended up just leaving. Crazy that we couldn't even give our money away!

Went there on a Tuesday night during Christmas week and was thrilled to find out that they have half-priced wine bottles on Tuesdays. Everything was very good incuding the service. I would have rated one star higher but when we got the check, the suggested 18% tip calculator at bottom of the check was incorrect and actually suggested an "18%" tip amount of approx. 25%. We told the server, and she simply said 'I know'...but no explanation was offered.

Day three of Covid reopening. We dined outside and had the same amazing food, and service as always. The staff was very attentive to social distancing requirements and we felt confident that our safety was not compromised.

Excellent service, excellent food at a better price.

Always a nice place to gather! Good beer choices. Good happy hour deals. Comfy. Odd music choices at times but....
