The Spirit of Robin Run is something you just have to experience to understand. This special place is a group of residents and associates walking together in partnership and serving one another in one's time of need. The Spirit of Robin Run is the reason you hear so many residents say "I wish I would have moved here years ago."
So disgusting. The staff that had my mom was disgusting. The CNA that always had my mom smelled like pee all the time. Never fed my mom complained to me that my mom needed to be changed too much.....That's their job. I visit my mother all tge time I can't do everything except move her here. Hope you get shut down after my mom leaves and my lawyers look over all my complaints.
Robin Run Vilage is such a unique place to live, the staff and residents really care about the people who live in all areas of the campus. The residents are friendly and look after the well being of their friends and neighbors. If another resident Is have trouble with something they will help them or find someone to help them.
The staff is always willing to stop what they may be doing to help you with any and all issues. Everyone is friendly and polite. They always make you feel that you are the main focus of their day.
This community has all levels of care and that is a comfort for us in our senior years.
Wonderful staff who are attentive to the more assistance needing residents
My father went here for a few weeks of rehab after a stay in the ICU. His stay at Robin Run was terrible. They didn t physically care for him like he needed. Their food was salty and overly processed (cheap). They have him salty cheap food while he has heart failure. They said his glucose levels were far too high (which never happens at home) then gave him what tasted like Kool-Aid. They didn t keep compression stockings on his legs like doctors have ordered and he repeatedly told them he needed (and a nurse practitioner even called them to scold them about it, but they still didn t put them on), so he came home with leg sores and pus oozing out of them. He had accidents in his pants while 30 feet away from the nurse s desk, but no one could come help bathe him or help him clean up until the next day. He was very miserable because he was treated like an invalid idiot even though his mind is fine.
Overall, he came home in worse physical and mental shape than when we went. And he was dying to get out of there.
The rooms are uncomfortable and the carpet smells and looks dingy dirty. It s not a cozy place.
Choose someplace else.
We moved to a Garden Home in Robin Run Village in May 2017, to be near our children. We intended to be seasonal and spend the winters in Sarasota, FL. In February 2018 we decided that we missed our life in RRV and in June 2018, sold our Sarasota house to become full time RRV residents. I am so glad that we didn't wait "until we needed to" to come here! My husband and I are both physically and mentally active, so we are able to take advantage of the activities, the dining room, and above all the 1 1/2 mile nature trail through the woods. We attend the twice weekly yoga classes, the discussion groups, movies, concerts, Village Chats & Menu Chats (where residents are able to participate in the discussion), and the every Friday Happy Hours where we have an opportunity to socialize with the wider community. One of the best things about this particular Senior Community is that there are always people about - sitting and chatting in the lounge, playing cards in the activity room, or exercising in the fitness room. We have a great library entirely run by resident volunteers - and I was amazed to see that there are a bunch of books by RRV residents! We have monthly men's and women's breakfasts where residents often share their life stories. I am often in awe when I hear of the accomplishments of many of our residents! There are lots of opportunities to go on the bus trips - baseball games during the season, breakfasts, lunches, concerts. As you can see, I'm loving my life here. I know that I will continue to be physically and mentally active far longer than I would have otherwise.
I have been living in Robin Run village since 2012 , with very few exceptions, the staff here at Assisted Living is very caring and attentive. My wife lives here in memory care as well, which helps me to visit her often, there were several other retirement facilities we could have moved to, we are glad that we chose Robin Run. IT IS HOME!
Horrible people that leave family loved ones with no water...no showers...wet beds...while the staff sits and eats and sits on cell phones for hours.....horrible place.that has gone down hill and management doesn't do anything accept provide excuses for the staff. The problem is there is more than me that has complained on same issues. Many family members.lf the residents discuss together they feel the same and just scared what may happen to their lived one if say anything.
We moved to a Garden Home at Robin Run 4 months ago. We love living here. This is a community of wonderful, interesting, friendly people. There are loads on activities going on all the time including parties, movies, classes, interest and discussion groups, games, etc. The garden homes range in size to meet the needs of the residents. Having a maintenance crew available to do everything from changing a light bulb to replacing a water heater is terrific. The grounds crew also do a great job. All of the employees we have met are very helpful and friendly.
It was not a good place for my grandfather. The call lights are on forever while the nurses and staff sit at the desk looking at the computer ignoring the call lights. They did not know how to place a catheter on my grandfather which caused severe trauma and he had to be transported to the ER so that they could properly put the catheter on. Do not send your loved ones her.
Having been around Robin Run for several years I find the staff to courteous, hard working, and dedicated to providing exceptional care.
We are very pleased with our home, friends, and activities at Robin Run. The food is good and nice to have restaurant available at very reasonable prices whenever we don't want to cook.
We love living here at Robin Run Retirement Village. Everyone seems very friendly and ready to help in every way. We live in a Garden Home and we have had excellent help when we have needed it with plugged up toilets,
non-functioning ice-makers. Free medical transportation + trips to restaurants and events. We have encouraged many of our friends to come and look around to see if they might be happy here. Other family members have lived in similar facilities, but none match Robin Run! You are truly missing out if you don't come to Robin Run....
Visited grandmother to see her in her room crying from poor treatment. She was left in her urine and feces all night bc no one came and helped her to the restroom after she had pushed the assistance button. She was not discovered until 7am when the morning team came in and she was on the floor due to trying to make it to the restroom herself. I strongly urge you not to send you re love one here, still a decision much regret. I hate that she had to endure that. For over $2,000 a month she deserves better. Not to mention food was terrible.
We have had our first two meals in two days after moving my father in and they were both horrible!!! The staff is very unprofessional and unfriendly. This is a very expensive place to live and we expected a much higher level of service and professionalism. My husband said he has never been treated more poorly or rudely!
Sadly the care my great aunt is receiving currently in the skilled care facilities has and is horrible. Even the simplist of things such as the phone and call button not being placed within her reach. She loved her apartment but sadly is not happy now that she needs more care and is not receiving it. Please do research before committing to any place because yes when you still have independence places look great but reality is you want it to be the best you can get when you are incapable of taking care of yourself.
We have been living at Robin Run village for over four years and we are very pleased with our Garden Home and how Robin Run keep the equipment and appliances working well. We have found we have so many activities so that we do not say what are we going to do with ourselves. We especially enjoy walk the 1 1/2 mile walking trail that goes through the 8 acre woods.
I work with a medical transport system and have found that the phone number listed here on google does not call to anyone. I was stuck outside, at 430am in 40 degree weather, with a resident..... I hope this is fixed.
Our parents lived at Robin Run for 11 years total and loved it. It was a great place for them. My Step Father had early Alzheimer's when they first moved to their independent living apartment in 2008. Eventually he moved to Clare Bridge (memory care) when his disease progressed. The great thing was Mom was able to see him every day as it was part of the same campus, yet at the same time maintain her independence. Mom lived until her very last day at her Robin Run apartment and wouldn't have had it any other way. Mom was quite the social butterfly there and was loved by all the residents and staff. Robin Run provided a rich and comfortable environment for which I am grateful.
Robin Run is a great place to live. What I especially like: living in a 2 bedroom independent living apartment, having access to the 1 and a half mile trail around the spacious grounds and through the ll acres of woods, the large indoor swimming pool, and several different venues for family gatherings or meetings with friends. It is a full-service retirement village, having garden homes, apartments, living with assistance section, and excellent health care and rehabilitation center. Best of all are the residents who enjoy interacting in the many activities, in the Tower restaurant, the Main Street Bistro, or just greeting each other in the halls or on the path.
I am very satisfied with my living arrangements here in the Assisted Living unit of Robin Run Village. I have lived here in Robin Run for 17 years. The staff & supervisors are kind, loving & caring at all times. I am happy to be here at Robin Run Assisted Living.
It was a terrible place for my father. He was in skilled care. It has been quite a few years, so I hope it has improved. Check it carefully. Never go by the way a place looks on the outside. Hopefully, everyone is getting better care now.
My grandparents live here and have nothing but wonderful things to say about this residence! They have grown to love the staff and almost all of the staff know them by name. I was worried about them living here at first, hearing all those awful stories about gross and unprofessional homes for senior citizens, but this is the perfect place for my grandparents! They're really happy here!
When asked about Robin Run I tell them, "Don't wait to come to RRV. This is a place for seniors to be involved in amazing activities. eat tasty food and make good friends. You will never get lonely living here. In fact the many services available allow you to age in place all while being surrounded by residents that really care about one another. As one new resident once said, "You should market the great residents as one of the amenities."
There are so many activities here we all have trouble choosing which ones to attend and the staff is top notch.
