Good place for seafood dishes. Service is very friendly. Recommend it for a quite evenings.

Dario was our waiter and quickly became a friend! Called us by name "Mr. Scott".
He and Antonio treated us so well! Food was excellent and Dario offered menu suggestions which were very helpful. Walking by the next morning, Dario recognized us and convinced us to have a cappuccino to start our day off right. Highly recommend. Best to have a reservation, but definitely stop by without one and they will do their best to accommodate.

The restaurant was for longer stays and often worse restaurant experience in Venice a real stroke of luck. Our pasta dishes were excellent and the Aperol Spritz was by far the best. The attentive and courteous service rounded off the taste experience. The 5 stars are definitely worth it!

A great place to eat. Friendly staff. There is a good selection of food whether you eat meat or are vegetarian. Its relatively close to the Rialto bridge and the main canal. As it is on an off street it is nice and quiet too which is nice if you like that.

We had eaten in a lot of restaurants, but none was as fantastic as the restaurant San Silvestro. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was wonderful and the food by far the best! Definitely worth it for anyone visiting Venice to go there.

The marbles were delicious and the staff were friendly.
One of the staff keeps speaking Korean in a friendly way.
But I did not get enough points for the price.
I guess it was a nice home without much squeezing.

Dinner was fine, then an artist came in playing some beautiful Italian songs with his Spanish guitar who was great and brought a super cheerful atmosphere and a great surprise. And I tipped 30 and everyone was cheering, I hope to go back to the restaurant and find this party I call brought a lot of cheer to me to my family.

Excellent food! Excellent service! We dined here four times during our one week stay in Venice. There s a variety to choose from the menu. The linguine with lobster and Creme Brulee are unforgettable. Waiters are very friendly and attentive. Ambience is very cozy.

Excellent service and the best seafood pasta I ever had!! As long as the two brothers are running the place and one of them is cooking you definitely have to get the seafood pasta!! It's a very romantic place so I also highly suggest you bring your significant other.

Came across this restaurant when I was lost - the lovely ambience of the patio drew me in for a few glasses of (really great) wine. I d already eaten, so I can t comment on the taste of the food, but everything around me smelled and looked amazing. The servers were incredibly friendly and attentive in a way that matched each table s personality - conversational with the high-energy tourists, respectful of the space of couples or those who didn t seem open to engaging (as someone who dines alone often, this is a huge factor for me) - but equally professional, efficient, and ready to be of service at a moment s notice to all. The patio was gorgeous at night; the inside was beautiful, too, although I only glanced around when I went in to use the bathroom. There was a big, beautiful, and sweet alley cat who passed through to greet all the patio diners (affectionately named Spritz, like the drink ) - probably hunting for top-quality scraps. And when I was finally ready to admit that I was lost, the managers went above and beyond to help me find my way back to the bus depot. 10/10 would recommend, and am definitely planning to eat dinner here next time I come to Venice.

We had things off the limited lunch menu all were nice and tasty. The sauce with the scaloppine was particularly good.

We arrived on a warm but strange July evening. Strange because we are in 2020 ...
Venice is a magical city and this restaurant is the icing on the cake.
An incredibly light stir fry, exquisite sea bass ravioli and a delicious roasted octopus, all washed down with a great fresh white wine.
The service is prompt and attentive.
The barricaded Venetian grappa is one of the best.

A tourist trap.

The place was recommended by our lovely house host during our first night in Venice. (Accommodation near the place). The place was full, while waiting for our table together with other couple we were hand over two small glasses of wine
( we all thought what a nice gesture and even made a cheers together)

We ordered a Fish of the day for 26 Euro(small fish came without any side dishes or garnishing) and pasta.
We did not order The bread on the table, 2 very small glasses of Limoncello (after the meal), glasses of wine that was given while waiting for the table. It was all been added to our bill.
We do not mind spending if it is our choice, but paying something that was not ordered was like you have been tricked,.
That remains a bad taste in your mouth and makes a bad picture to beautiful Venice. (see attached screenshot)

It's not expensive, but do not expect to find the best service or the best food

My only regret was not bringing enough cash to tip properly. Some of the best food I've had, not just in Venice, or Italy, but ever. Everything was perfect

In addition to the sympathy of the three brothers who own the restaurant, you can enjoy excellent and abundant dishes, ask the owner to advise you, you will not regret it.

It was okay, but nothing special. Breeding - sea bream, which was thawed and was really mini. We had pretty much all the side dishes on the menu to get full. You can do it, but you do not have to go for a choice of places

It's like risso or abalone porridge, but I ate it well, but the pasta was almost vomiting as soon as I smelled it.

My wife found San Silvestro (SS) during research for our Christmastime trip to Venice. We were encouraged when SS received a strong recommendation from the staff at our fantastic hotel, Rosa Salva. Our party of four reserved for 6:30 and arrived to a happy and welcoming wait staff. The room about 20 tables was already about 80% full. A good sign! Menu featured all of the Venetian specialties ham, beef, fish and our primary gustatory goal for the evening, pasta. We started with the parma ham appetizer for two; the portion could have easily satisfied four. Bread and breadsticks (modest cover charge hey, it s Venice) came promptly. Also had a caprese starter before several variations of spaghetti and one custom lasagna were served. Nice wine list and we ventured therein happily. Ladies shared a dessert. Total tab for the evening: 130 euros. I challenge anyone to find a more flavorFULL and friendly place, euro for euro, in Venice.

Good food & excellent service. Has a cover charge of 3 per person. No house wine available, but wine bottles available. Really nice surprise on birthdays - candle on dessert and staff sing happy birthday to the celebrated - really sweet!

Fantastic seafood and service. Amazing local wines. Great tables inside and outside. Simply a great family run restaurant.

The service was incredibly nice. The food was delicious, especially the lobster.

With an English Mother and a sadly long departed Italian father I am always looking for that authentic Italian meal that is as good as Nonna's home cooking. Having travelled extensively in Italy and eaten at 100's of restaurants San Silvestro is the best. On another level for passion and pride in the food they present and the service they provide. Recommended to all but please make sure there is always a table for me.

Amazing place, incredible staff and delicious food!!!

Not only did we have a phenomenal meal, we watched the [head waiter? Manager? Owner?] deal with the most difficult table we ve ever witnessed - he handled it smoothly and too nicely in my opinion - but a credit to his brand management and talent with people.

More to the food - we loved the carpaccio and fresh raw seafood - lots of new things for us that were presented wonderfully.

The risotto al nero di seppia we had been keeping an eye out for as the last of the Venetian specialties we hadn t tried and it did not disappoint. All that and I got some squid ink on my white blouse and they got the stain out for me-what service!
