A lovely place with a lot of toys for your kiddies and a play area. They also offer some mommy and daddy activities for you to attend with your babies and toddlers. It is also possible to book birthday parties for your children if that is something that you're interested in doing.
This place was a fun place to take the kids when they were still open. Unfortunately, the toys were always a little on the pricey side. The store has closed now, but I've been told they may reopen sometime soon.
This was our first time there, the grandkids and I had a great time. Very kid friendly and well done.

Best birthday parties ever. They handle everything. They even wrote down who gave what presents. So you can enjoy your child's birthday party. Kids absolutely love the play area.
We love this place! They have an enormous pirate ship and play place inside. Admission price depends on age, but I know my 2 year old is $8. Prices on toys are decent to a little high, but the play place itself is worth it on a really hot or really cold day.
Pro tip though, open play is only during certain hours and you can call ahead and reserve a spot. It fills up quick so I recommend doing this. Otherwise get there right as open play starts!
The sales staff was not friendly we had a 2 year old and their were 3 girls on the play area they said it was reserved for a Birthday party. We said we would leave when more children arrived. They replied no. I am a regular shopper but I will go online now without the play area I can find better prices online! The staff showed no common sense. Again 3 children in the play area!!!

Love this store! I started teaching my Creative Art classes for kids this summer at Smart Toys and Books and I always look forward to coming in each day to the kids, staff, and positive, happy, and fun environment.
Great for families or play groups who need an educational or imaginative indoor activity for a few hours. There is an interactive playground, pirate ship, play grocery store, train table, and many other sensory tables and learning stations that even the adults enjoy! (I admit the kinetic sand is amazing :)
Smart Toys also offers awesome birthday parties and family events as well as weekly Art classes and free storytime. The owners, have done a fantastic job creating this fun space for our kids that is clean, safe, and as my Art students always tell me "It's Awesome!!"
Party hosted here and what an indoor playland. I've never seen such a big area in a toy store. Climbing structures and huge rolling balls. Something for all ages and easy for adults to shop in the store while little ones play.
We held our son's 5th birthday party here and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly, the planning was seamless, and the kids loved every minute.

Love the play place. Only downfall is the back wall in the play area has an exit that is easily pushed open by a toddler. Im sure it's bc of a firecode or something but is a distraction for escape artist toddlers like mine. Overall fun play area and a lot of educational toys and books to buy.
This toy store is everything I wanted it to be when I walked in. There is a little something for everyone. It s a great place to find a gift for a child.

Wonderful store and great place for a birthday party! We recently had my son's 4th birthday party there with about 15 children total, the staff was wonderful and took care of everything! They were so great with all the kids!
The store is good they had a Melissa & Doug puzzle that I was looking for and that was a reasonable price however some of the things in the store was not a reasonable price compared to other stores that you can get the exact same thing but I also do like how they have like a little play area where my child can go and play so is the option that you can choose when it's raining or now that's getting more towards the winter and you can't really go outside to play however I do wish they had more times that you can go and play in the store because the time frame is kind of limited especially to the people that actually work

Great place for young kids to run. They also offer activities during the week, so worth checking online. I also recommend following on Facebook or calling ahead of time for open play sessions as they do fill up or get booked for parties. Both my boys love it here!

Fantastic place for children. Definitely call ahead if you plan to do Open Play, as they host parties or get full. Children under 2 are free, 3+ is $8 for 2 hours.
Dont forget socks either, as they are required to play.
Great indoor playground for all ages. My kids are 2 and 4 and they can both entertain themselves for a couple hours here. The playground structures are challenging for them but would be easier for older kids and there are plenty of options for babies amd toddlers too. The passes for multiple visits are a good deal if you plan to go more than once!
Smart Toys has always been a winner with my kids. The play area is excellent fun on a hot or rainy day. Their parties are easy to arrange and entertaining. We've had nothing but good experiences here.

This was a beast once for a birthday party. The birthday kid gets to choose items she would like and got can purchase them at a discount with the party. My girls had a lot of fun in the playground too.

I have always loved Smart Toys and Books! I lived to come here as a child and now as a mother. Great place. Friendly, helpful staff. Great environment. They always have something special and unique for everyone.

Very friendly staff with a wide variety of merchandise for kids of all ages. They also have a play area for a nominal fee and can accommodate birthday parties as well. Some of the prices on toys can get expensive, but are great for special occasions. They also have quite a bit of STEM-related items.

Loveliest place for kids in the age of 1-7! We, my daughter (2 years) and I could spent their 2/3 hours a day, it is so nice. A pirate ship, a little kitchen, and great other toys for a good price (7$) per child. You can just go into the shop, that s for free, the playground you have too pay, but it s worth it. They have also music classes and other activities to offer!

An amazing place to bring kids to play on a rainy or very hot day. Reasonably priced toys. They also offer classes like kindermusic and arts and crafts too.
We went to an open play session and the kids had fun. My oldest, who is six, was probably a little too old . . While it was perfect for my three-year-old. My biggest complaint would be that there is no good parent seating area; just hard benches and not enough to seat everyone there. The store has an excellent variety of toys, but, as others have stated, it is very pricey.
I love this store even though my son is grown. Surely one day I will have a grandchild. I must stay current on the lastest really cool toys. This is the place to do it!

This place is great! While visiting Knoxville from Florida with our 2.5 year old, we desperately needed an indoor place for her to run around and play while we could relax for a bit during a stressful vacation. We found this place on Google and it did not disappoint. It was very clean and had a great atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. The other parents and children there were all friendly and great to be around. They had a great selection of unique toys and gifts too! Wish we had a place like this at home!

A good/ok space to entertain children. A small variety of activities for children to occupy themselves. Wish it had more instead of the same few to provide variety for a child. Has a wide selection of toys, books and educational items that are pricey and probably cheaper on Amazon to purchase.
Went to the restroom to change a diaper and the change strap was non existent. Was very worried my child would roll over as I had one hand down and another cleaning the diaper.
I cited my concerns to the owner (blonde haired lady) and she issued an excuse that it probably happened that morning. I explained that it's been that way for a while since the strap was frayed and showed age. She stuck with her story and was disappointment as a parent that a person running a children focused business would have such disregard for the safety of her patrons in her establishment.
Great place to bring the kids to play for a few hours. I really appreciate the fact that they close the play area down to clean it between sessions. I love all the events that happen here on a weekly basis. For example, free story times and Mommy/Daddy And Me Art Time on Fridays!

A large toy store with a built in play area. It has one section with a tube style slide, one area with a big pirate ship, and one area with equipment geared towards 2-3 age. There are also back areas for activities, but I did not try those. Great play area for ages 2+ but my 14 month old was run over by 4-5 year olds. Neat toys but a bit pricy.

Love this place. We've attended multiple birthday parties here and also had breakfast with the easter bunny. The play area is great and the selection of toys is amazing. My little girl loves the doll house room.

The play area is good. The management not so much. Lindsey, the manager on duty, refused to wrap a gift that I didn t buy in their store. I offered to pay extra for them to gift wrap it, she said no. This convo is being held while I m paying for a separate gift from their store. She did offer to wrap that one, but then didn t give me a gift receipt.
My 3 year old loves their indoor playground. Call before you go, especially if it's the weekend. They can only accommodate so many kids, so make sure you call ahead to be guaranteed a spot. Very nice store with a large toy selection. Staff is extremely friendly.
Our daughter loves it here! We buy time in bulk to go play and go every week! Staff is super nice and they really help keep watch over the kids. They maintain order and are not afraid to remove children that are aggressive or not following the rules. Everything is kept very clean and they stop play time to have cleanings throughout the day.

this place turned me and my son and my best friend away all because we were both holding his hands. and they tried to play it off as they closed down to clean the play ground. which isnt true cause it was the middle of the day. and that didnt make sense and when asked about it they denied it
This is the coolest toy store I ve been to. We went there for an art class that is offered in the back of the store. My 5 year old son loved the class and loved the teacher. It was a great environment for children to run around and play while parents browse throughout the store. They have a huge pirate ship in the middle of the store that kids can climb and play on and then other jungle gym like stuff in the same area. I m not sure about the pricing of the toys but the art classes were very reasonably priced.
Looked at the website and made sure to show up for a "scheduled" play session. Drove 1 1/2 hours with an excited 3 year old, only to find out they were closed for a private birthday party. Ridiculous they list play sessions and close without notice. My son was so upset.
Love this place! Stores like this are so hard to find. Finally quality toys, books, a play area and a place to host events all in one spot! Management is very engaged in the community and involved with customers.
I haven t been there too often since my baby is only 10 month old but I did get a few things there. Staff is very nice and seems knowledgeable about their products.
Excellent play date, just a couple older boys running over the little ones. We will say there was a bad parent there, not paying attention to their boys!
