I shared the Chuleta Kan-Kan (giant fried pork loin) with my husband and it was absolutely phenomenal! My kids had the Arroz con pollo and the chimichurri burger and they were both delicious. If I didn't live 1400 miles away I'd come back every week!!

The fried cheese and dipping sauce was a delicious tapa. This was my first experience with Puerto Rican food. For an entree, my daughter and I split a Cuban sandwich with fried Plantains. Yum! She also had a margarita that went quickly. Their alcoholic drink menu was extensive. I will be going back and taking friends and family. So many items to try.

We really enjoyed Luna Rosa! The sangria was delicious, as well as the mofongo, pork roast and queso flan. The staff was friendly and the owner visited with us before leaving. Live music created a good ambiance and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves in the restaurant!

I would call this a fusion Puerto Rican experience. Some of the dishes are very traditional, like the empanadillas, croquetas, and care grits. Other foods are like a Tex-Mex/PR mash-up like the pork nachos. Never would you find beans on meat in a true PR restaurant. They were good, but not necessarily PR. The tapas are delicious and generously-portioned for the price. I read other reviews and I can't imagine how a party of four could dump $120 for a night here... my husband and I ordered several tapas and had food leftover for right at $35. No alcohol, though, so maybe that was the real issue. I just felt like addressing that, because it seemed outrageous. Anyway, this place is definitely good and really worth a trip o the south side to enjoy.

The BEST dishes are the CUBAN SANDWICH and the ROPA VIEJA which is also a CUBAN DISH. A Porto Rican restaurant and their best dishes are CUBAN. THEY MUST HAVE SOMEONE IN THE FAMILY THAT'S CUBANO. Great place. Congrats on bringing the Caribbean to the WEST.

I gotta bring my mom! Everything here is the best of the best
The food was different in every good delicious way. The restroom was very clean. My Long Island was PERFECT it was like drinking sweet tea. My waitress speaks Spanish and English and was extremely knowledgeable with the menu. I read the menu, but I'm a picture kinda of gal, so when I pulled up the pictures from Google she told me what it was, how it's made and when there is specials for every plate. I'm definitely coming back with my mom and my bestfriend. OMG BTW there wings are spicy but sweet all at the same time! & mind you I hate spicy but these wings were perfect. Like I said I'm most definitely coming back. I'm extremely satisfied

We visited on a Friday at 9pm as a family. The music was too loud! Order a mofongo stuffed with shrimp, which really was not stuffing. It was just a mofongo on a plate and about 5 large shrimp scattered with the sauce. The picadera was good. But we were mostly for stuffed mofongos and it was not what we expected.

The ropa vieja was good. But the arroz con gandules was plain. Monfongo was ok. The garlic sauce on top with the shrimp was good. The sofrito dip was good. Idk? I don't think I'll go back. I'll just stick to cooking Puerto Rican food in my kitchen. When you grow up eating Puerto Rican food in your grandmother's kitchen.... yea nothing tops that.

I love Luna Rosa. I always recommend it to visitors and the ones who've gone have thanked me profusely, because it's fantastic. (Everything I've ever had here is amazing and I think they have the best sangria in town.)

Words cannot describe how much this food brought me home. Groin up in a Puerto Rican family and eating the food made me desire it every since I left home in 1999 for the Military. Many places try to make good PR food and miss the mark. This place hits it and then some! I'm so happy I found this place. 3 meals plus an alcoholic drink and an appetizer ran us $70. A small price to pay to be reminded of home.

One of my favorite restaurants around. Menu selections are diverse from Puerto Rican to New Mexican items. The beverage choices are really good as well with the Guavarita (award winning by the way) and the Sangria a must try. Lunch specials and Happy hour tapas and beverages give an opportunity for sampling the wonderful flavors this place offers. Hard to beat the atmosphere, staff and owners..family run and they have been know to try to meet my special requests when preparing their menu items. YUMMY food. I'm gluten sensitive and have been able to enjoy eating there as they will sub out the bread items with plantain based tostones. Taino burgers and sliders (offered at lunch) are awesome. LUV THIS PLACE!!!

First and last time. Poor service and food was lousy. Ordered a calamari appetizer and received processed fish instead. When brought to the attention of the server, received a take it or leave it attitude. The food presentation is poor and the taste bland.
The food is pricey and I was not impressed with the restaurant. Definitely will not be returning. Recommend La Marginal Restaurant as a better option.

My tummy is sooo happy. Came in for lunch. Ordered "El Guavate", pernil w/ arroz con gandules from the lunch menu. Pernil was moist, flavorful, rice was perfect. Can't beat the lunch menu. Beautiful, modern location, full bar! Can't wait to return.

I have been visiting all the puertorricans restaurants in San Antonio area with my family. The atmosphere at the restaurant and the staff were great (our server was Matias). We had some issues with our order (That's why I give only 4 ) The food was delicious. We will visit them again.

The whole family loves this place! The owner is always here and talking to his customers and he is very outgoing and approachable! The mixed drinks are made with the real stuff and not watered down. But the real reason to come here is for the food! It is spectacular!

We love this restaurant. The environment, the service, the drinks and food! We are planning on trying pretty much every dish on their menu. House made sangria, Caribbean Nachos, Bacon wrapped Dates, El Cubanito, and La Ropa Vieja are all awesome! Can't wait to return to San Antonio again. I cannot say enough great things about this place. Keep up the amazing job yall are doing guys!!

The service- excellent customer service. From the time you are greeted at the front door you are made to feel like family! Let s not forget the great table service. Our waiter was something special and very attentive. Great qualities to have. Thanks for that!

The meal- just as I expected. The depth of flavor and the love that went into crafting each dish didn t go unnoticed.

After a long day at Sea World, it was a pleasure stopping in before heading back to Houston. We ll be back for sure!

I got the paella and the rice was overcooked I don t know if they used fake crab meat but the crab was terrible. I gave this place a try because it had good rating but the food that I ordered was not up to par.

Everyone was happy, signing, dancing and relaxed. The waitress took time to explain the menu and made really good suggestions. Everything was great. Well worth it.

I walked in and noticed how clean and inviting this place was. I was greeted, everyone was smiling. I had called ahead and placed a to go order which was ready when I got there. I paid for my food and went home.... when I opened the bag this overwhelming smell of Garlic hit me. I don t mind garlic but EVERYTHING tasted like you were biting into garlic literally the food had no flavor other than garlic. I ordered the Santa Fe enchiladas and it came with black beans and 3 baguette bread slices. The enchiladas had ground beef which had no flavor and they only put a little bit of cheese, the beans also had no flavor at all just had chunks of garlic in them and all bread pieces had a bunch of garlic butter. I couldn t even finish the plate. I might go for happy hour and get drinks because those look good but no more food for me.

Absolutely love this place. We were promptly greeted and taken to our table. I had a mojito to start, which was excellently made. My girlfriend had their house sangria and was very pleased. The food is very good, and affordably priced. Overall, a great eatery and a pleasant way to finish off the week. Highly recommended this establishment!
