Awesome puertorican food and great atmosphere at this nice restaurant. I had lunch with one of my friends (he is originally from Puerto Rico) and he made the statement that the food is a close to back home as it gets. The pork roast with sweet plantains was amazing. Great place to have a very flavorful lunch.

I really do not recommend it, because it is more a bar than a restaurant. If you are from another country and want to eat something different it is not recommended because there is food from Puerto Rico and being there they do not recommend a delicious dish from Puerto Rico. Also if you do not speak English well, I had a waiter who hardly spoke Spanish and did not attend me well. It is the first time that I went there and I did not like it I have gone to other restaurants in other countries there they recommend a delicious dish from that country that is the restaurant .. Well if you speak English well if you are going to ask for what you like because the MENU is only in English ..

I love this place! The food and appetizers are awesome. My favorites are the bacon wrapped dates and the Calamari Fries. The Cuban sandwich and the San Juan sandwich are delicious! I also like the chicken and rice. I have so many favorites! The bar drinks are awesome too! The service is awesome! Friendly staff . The only downsize is that it is so far from my house but it is definitely worth the drive over there.

As a born and raised Puerto Rican I can say this is the best Puerto Rican spot in San Antonio. Service is great, and the drinks are absolutely amazing. The prices may seem a little bit steep, however once you try them you will realize not only are they fairly priced but also worth every dime. As a tip, come during happy hour and try all the appetizers. Great prices for what you get and all will be very tasty.

Other than the music being so loud that you couldn't carry on a conversation, it was good. Food was very good, menu could use a little more explanation on the dishes even my girlfriend who speaks Spanish didn't know what most of the dishes were. Waiter was a little slow and for a large party that we had didn't bring silverware to half of the table and was slow to refill drinks but very friendly and did try. Overall I liked it, just needs a few for me to give it 5 stars.

Excellent meal! (We tried everything a little) Excellent service! (Gabriela our waitress was very attentive and jovial, the service was quick despite the establishment being full). Drinks, appetizers, food and desserts were a delight to the palate!

I have had terrible service before but I have NEVER walked out on a store because they took too long to bring my food out. This was a first. Three tables were seated around me AFTER I ordered food for myself, my wife, and my two kids. After around 45 min, all of those tables had their appetizers before me. My kids were starving. Then they started to bring entrees to the tables that were seated after me. Nobody ever came out to tell us they were backed up or having issues. My wife kindly asked the waiter where our CHEESE AND BREAD APPETIZER was. The waiter went back and made it himself. Fast forward 20 min more and I told my wife that if they brought out one more entree to another table, I was throwing a $20 (to pay for apps and drinks) on the table and leaving. Sure enough, another table was served and after 1.5 hrs of waiting, I walked out. Will not go back here ever again. And I LOVE mofongo. Happy Valentine's Day to my wife. Hope she enjoyed the Burger King.

This restaurant is a 5 star experience.....it offers everything you want in a night out with your significant other or with friends. My wife and I enjoyed drinks ( michelada for me and margarita for her) music(salsa, meringue) , classy atmosphere very welcoming....the food is Devine! Tons of flavor, the portions are generous and the presentation was picture perfect.
I can almost guarantee that anything you order will have you wanting more.......

Pros:
-excellent food, very tasty. You can tell that the chef went to a professional culinary school because the dishes looked very artistic.
-super friendly staff!

Cons:
-poorly trained staff. Our waiter forgot our silverware, straws, and he forgot to take our drink orders!
-ridiculously expensive! $120 for 4 meals
-insanely loud music. I couldn t even hear myself thinks.

This restaurant seems new and has great potential but unfortunately the cons outweigh the pros. I d really like to see this business flourish though and I think that they can!

We were celebrating my birthday. By far the best experience, in a long time Manuel and his family seem like great people, as well as our bartender Dylan, although we didn't get to meet the real stars in the back, but let me tell you what ever they do to the Steak for the nachos are amazing hands down the best steak. Manuel had a delightful conversation with is after making sure we were the right people, because my fiancee called to make sure there wasn't a wait, he reserved a spot for us, drink were good food was the best, and service great, way-to-go #TEAMLUNAROSA!!!! The whole family did good and thank you to the Two sons and wife for making our night special.

Luna Rosa ... thank goodness this place came to my rescue! I was looking for a place to remind me of home and my wishes finally answered! The staff are extremely humble and have their hearts in the right spot. For all of us to enjoy. The contemporary Taino Art matched the unique flavors of their vast menu. A good variety of tapas with a twist along with classic Puerto Rican delights like their Cubano!....Finally!! a legit Cubano! We were blown away!!! I can't wait to try the Mofongo and other dishes.

The food is authentic. Alcapurria tasted homemade. The bacalaitos had lots of cod. The happy hour tapas were on point. Had some manchego and aceitunas and chorizo Very good for the happy hour price. I would give it a 5 but the service was slow and food came out scattered. Waitstaff were nice though.

Very crowded but nice atmosphere. The food is tasty although the dinner plate came out before the appetizers. If you want a drink with your dinner, I recommend La Taina. It is a definite slow sipper. They have a small dance floor. Karaoke on Friday.

The food is excellent with a good deal of foods from Puerto Rico. The prices are moderate to expensive, but the expensive item will feed two to three people. They have this pork section that is deep fried with a sauce that makes your mouth water. I love the plantains fried sweet and fried crisp. The spicy beans have a unique flavor, the mufangos are really good as well. This is my third trip eating here and I have to drive over 30 miles to get there. They have a full bar, and the TV is on sports to keep the sports addicts happy. I was told to go were you see the natives of that area and there are large groups of families eating together. Great place to eat, with good service and a very friendly staff.

Good music, well decorated with a nice bar. The tostones, maduros and sorullitos were very good. They bring out mariquitas with a great white garlic sauce. Unfortunately the arroz con calamares was not very good. It lacked flavor (salt/adobo) and it looks like its made with canned calamari.. I was hoping for fresh calamari or at least calamari rings. This was very unfortunate and the reason for my 3 stars as it is $26...
