Cool little B&B. The breakfast wasn't anything extravagant. It was a breakfast bar then they serve you a slice of bacon and scrambled eggs. The owners were very friendly. It's located at the end of town in the historic district. The mattresses felt as old and vintage as the decor. You can feel the springs pushing on your spine. The WiFi was very slow and limited, but it got you out of the room and talk to people as you're doing your business on the Web.

Nice atmosphere in this heritage BNB but I have to rate low. Positive: great food at the restaurant, pleasant staff. Not good: missed our pick-up from the Alaska ferry, despite calling the day before to confirm. Did not respond to emails. Missed pick-up for other ferry guests too (we tried calling for about 20 minutes and got an engaged tone). The bed was much too small for me at 6 , more like a cot. Shower curtain smelly like sweat. At a low price it would be acceptable, but it is very expensive for a poor quality finish. With more attention to detail it could shine. Thanks to the staff for trying to fix things.

Shower temp was impossible to control, bathroom smelled mouldy. Room was tiny. Bed was uncomfortable. Very displeased for the price. Payed for a room for 2 and one of us ended up sleeping in our truck because the room was so cramped. Will be taking my business elsewhere next time.

If you are able to install new bath fixtures and smoke detectors then you should be able to install blackout curtains, you are a hotel in a Alaska. And too that point, you can also fix the doors so they latch- I mean you added a deadbolt lock to them. It is also frustrating when your room gets given away just as you get to the hotel. All staff should be trained on how to check in guests.

Wow! What a great find. From the white picket fence to the on site garden to the outside dining, what a gem. Bar and specialty coffees offers wide selection of drinks
Try the Caribou madallions for an exotic treat. Nice quiet dining good service and atmosphere make for a full dining experience.

Innkeeper Karl was pleasant and very helpful to making my stay in the Skagway ares a success. Only downside to the Inn was that sound carries very well through the walls. The restaurant was good also.

I spent my time in, Skagway '07 family reunion, with Essie as I was solo it was a perfect match. Most of the group stayed at The White House and I was the lone guest at the Inn. When in Skagway always look around and search for the "LOCAL" touch as large corporations have moved in and are as appealing as Disney/Knotts in a grab the money sort of way.
Slowly that is taking over a beautiful Gold Rush Town. The town needs money, but find the locals and support them, the cruise ships are paid enough, spread the wealth and make some friends. You are in Alaska, roughing it is the way to learn and make memories. The chance of getting Alaskan Gold in Skagway is very limited, save your money.

Everything we had has really good, favorites were the Alaskan King Crab plate, came with 2 legs, salad, chowders, perfect size & decent price! Chowder had a lot of seafood too , kale salad with add-on crab was really good too. Least fave is was rhubarb crisp, not bad but you could hardly taste the rhubarb. Plenty of choices of draft Local beer and bottled beer

I loved the atmosphere at this B&B. It s a old brothel from the 1900 s of course it s going to have some little quirks. Don t listen to all the complaints about this place and go stay. We spent 2 nights, put the comforter over our window, and had a great time. The restaurant was good in the am and the pm. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
