Nice Hotel for the most part. Some of the furniture was a bit dated but the room was hugh. The window in the shower was a bit creepy i thought. Over all the hotel had a bit of everything. The price wasn't to bad for our 3 day stay at all.

We went for a business trip. The rooms were bigger than we were expecting and it had a fridge! The only strange thing is the daily security checks. Random people came in to make sure everything was ok. I'm assuming they are combating human trafficking but it was it was never clarified.

The room was spacious but a little dated in terms of tech; no USB ports to charge devices. Elevators are only on one side of the building so if your room is on the opposite end it's a pretty long walk to and from your room to the elevators, which is something to consider if you're traveling with an elder or have any walking issues of your own. Restaurants in the hotel are really good, as was the spa. Decent location not too far from the strip.

A little dated but I enjoyed the ambiance of the casino. Has the best view of the city up on the rooftop which you can access for free, superior to the view on top of the Stratosphere which cost us $20 each. The room was disappointing- dated and no hot water in shower around 9:30 am. I got a massage at the spa at a discounted rate using Travelzoo. The massage was average, but I did enjoy using the other spa amenities including the eucalyptus steam room.

The room was clean and comfortable. Good shower pressure. Great view and walking distance to the strip. Good selection of table games. A few single deck blackjack options with some player favorable rules. Decent poker room. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurants but we will definitely be staying here again

The Rio felt like I expected Las Vegas to feel. The glitz, the glamour, the palatial feel. The floor staff was dressed to impress and were VERY attentive. The players club is very generous for first time members making my visit even more enjoyable. The only downfall is the smoking policy. The air quality was almost unbearable and made my trip to the Rio and most Casinos on my trip for that matter uncomfortable and shorter than I would have liked.

Liked the priced and room was surprisingly clean big and fresh smelling
Bed had a chocolate bar on it
Frig and micro. Was in room. CLOSE to a lot of things. And they have smoking and non smoking rooms. Easy to get back to freeway. And easy to spot when returning. Security great

I was at the Rio for a convention. The casino was clean and had a nice layout. The pool was very lively. The convention center had a good amount of space and tons around it for people to do. We also ate at Hash House a gogo which is a breakfast/brunch restaurant. The food was amazing. The cinnamon apple flapjack will have me coming back.

Nice hotel, not too noisy not too quiet. The rooms are lit in a weird way because of the colors on the outside of the building. But In my opinion it just adds to the quirkiness of the hotel. All in all good stay

I loved this hotel! It was my home away from home. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Loved the outside view we had. There was lots of things to do as far as eating, shopping and playing slot games here. I can't wait to go back!

I love their pools. All rooms are suites, so it is a matter of choosing size. Good shops and restaurants in the nearly self contained community. I miss the "show in the sky" which was discontinued a few years ago. They have big outdoor activities now like a giant swing. Entertainment is usually pretty good.

For the Fredrickson party we stayed here a good part of the week July, 9-12th in room 5029. Customer service was good after quite the wait; they were decently accommodating for we had a frenchy with us.
The down side the room was in poor state of disrepair; the walls were dirty and unwashed, paint was peeling, pretty sure there was blood on the wall, and quite a few of the fixtures were broken. The neglect to care of, or properly take care for situation seemed inattentive at best. The situation was undesirable at best, see the pictures below...

The real is the mazing hotel right by the strip. It is absolutely gorgeous inside. There are a lot of gift shops and stores here and a variety of gaming tables and areas. It was a little more expensive to stay here than other hotels. But the rooms are absolutely beautiful. Because of the area I found that everything there was more expensive. The gaming tables were higher limits than at other casinos.

Fast check-in/check-out. Clean and reasonable price for lower floor rooms. Was asked for upgrading to upper floor for better city view with an extra cost but not too much. Has free tram for transportation to another hotels and is close to the tran stop, which rides along the Las Vegas Strip.

The Chinese Restaurant use to be great now it failed the quality test. That use to be my favorite chinese restaurant because it's clean and had delicious food plus the service was excellent. Focus on the quality of food since the price is high enough already. Maria G. Christa ( I'll be back to find improvements )

Completely disgruntled! The amenities are sparse with cheap fixtures and uncomfortable beds but worse was the smell.... our non-smoking room stank of cigarettes. When we asked for a new room, we were told they were completely sold out. Not sure how a hotel with 2522 rooms didn t have a single spare room available. They offered to give us sheets to cover wretched couch but that didn t help the rest of the room. We will stay elsewhere next time!

Rude uncaring staff after a 45 minute wait for check-out. Casino had very poor ventilation and an odor which it seemed was "masked" by some kind of a scent. Dingy and smokey. In need of refurbishing. Not enough staff at the check in or check out to handle the throngs of people. The person in line at checkout in front of me described it as a "cesspool". I would agree. Once beyond the cesspool casino, the room was very large and not bad, especially for the price. If you have asthma, skip this place because you cannot avoid the casino. Outside grounds are nice. The pool closed at about 4 pm. Apparently you are not here to swim, you better be here to smoke, drink and gamble. Some good restaurants.

Great hotel. Spacious rooms, a good selection of food choices and a rewards program that takes into account the money you spend on food and hotel stay. The hotel is just off the strip, but you can get to it quickly with either a walk or a short Uber ride. They certainly treat you better than the Orleans.

I Love the rio, its right off the strip, and they have a free shuttle to take you to the strip if you want. My room is always nice and spacious. The only thing is the elevators were really rickety. They shook and jumped way too hard. Other than that its always a pleasant stay.

Great place and hotel room was nice but had some less than savory designs. The room reeked of weed and there's a small window connecting the bedroom to the restroom shower. That's pretty wierd in my opinion.

The rooms on the 6th floor were extremely spacious. We had a one king room with a view of the city lights! It was gorgeous! The room is dated, but the view and experience are well worth it! We wanted to try every restaurant in the casino, but it all closed early on a sunday. Overall, the room was amazing, Hash A-Go-Go was excellent....we will definitely be coming back for another visit! Also...they're pet friendly!

I have been at the Rio for the last 2 years during the WSOP. This place is a madhouse then. If you ever want to eat you should have somebody already waiting at a restaurant. But the rooms are spacious and have refrigerators! I filled it up the first day I was there and had quick meals any time I wanted.

Avoid! Way too expensive for the quality.

Avoid! Way too expensive for the quality.

The sheets are sandpaper, the pillows are awful, the shower head is caked in mineral deposits. We're even in "the newly upgraded tower" and the windows are so thin (do they make half pane windows?) you can hear everything 33 stories below - and the nightclub on the roof!!!!

The walls are also paper thin. I can currently hear every word of my neighbor's conversation and I can tell he's not even speaking loudly.

Stay somewhere nice (Venetian/Palazzo) on the strip for the same price and actually have a relaxing visit.

Amazing views from the Masquerade suite!! I could nitpick a bunch of cleaning details tho, hence the 4 instead of 5 stars. Natalie & Arlee at the pool are amazing servers, but service on casino floor was a bit slow

I like the Rio, I find it slightly less busy than the strip hotels which is nice. Good variety of restaurants and plenty of bars. The valet parking is a definite plus as the strip hotels always seem to be full.

This hotel for the price is great. It s starting to show its age. Stains on carpets. Tears n couched in the room. Leaking toilets (which I slipped and fell in). The staff checked to be sure I wasn t hurt, however I had to report it 3 times. You d think I d get even a free night. . Just know what you re getting.

The stale smell of cigarette smoke filtering throughout the hotel is horrible. But that's to be expected in a casino hotel. The restaurants in the hotel are very mediocre. I will say The staff is very pleasant and customer service is great. But rooms need a serious upgrade. First time staying there, probably will be my last.

My favorite casino resort in Vegas. Close to, but off the main strip cuts way down on the crazy. Great restaurants, AMAZING shows. It's the best! Penn and Teller are an absolute treasure and every time you go to the Rio there is something cool or interesting going on.

We had a good time. The one good thing about Rio so far is they are not charging for parking. Incredible that the casino's are now charging for parking! I'd understand if they cleaned my car and provided some kind of service for the car. Speaking of car I took a picture of the Gene bug.

Only reason we came to this hotel was for the zipline. The "club" you have to walk through to get to the zipline is a dumpster fire. If you're into axe body spray and a bunch of stank perfume, this place is for you!

We visited this hotel to eat at the Carnival World Buffet. A little off the strip but seems like you can have fun here. They have free parking and it's a whole different world compared to the others on the strip. Not bad except for the septic smell walking into the building from the parking lot where the Chippendales store is located.

I stayed at the Rio for a family vacation a week ago during my father-in-law's billiards tournament. While we were there our room was broken into and robbed, while we were in the room sleeping. My husband was able to follow and confront the thief, so he had a good description, and I immediately called security and filed a report. We've followed up with the hotel numerous times, and have yet to receive an apology or any information as to how this will be handled. The hotel continues to refer us out to Caesar's corporate risk management team who has yet to respond to a voicemail or pick up the phone. In short, the customer service here is non-existent. There are rumors that the hotel is to be demolished soon, and it really seems like management is throwing in the towel until then.

Wonderful staff can be found from VIP Valet (which is free), VIP Guest Services, Bar and Table Game Dealers. Free drinks while playing on slots and or table games. Nice welcoming hosts to guide you along the way. An indoor Starbucks is available right near the elevators and shops. Room was clean and very roomy. Room rates are very affordable. Free small bottled water available at the VIP Guest Services. Amazing service overall and Valet staff is very professional. Pet friendly and pool is perfect for the family. Looking forward to another future stay at the Rio!

Disappointed with our room. It's dated and old. Carpet looks dirty. Furniture's, appliances , bed and sofa is old. The bathtub got clogged up, we had to call maintenance and came as soon as they can. Expensive room service. It's not worth it to stay here for that room rate we paid for. Even the outside of the hotel is dirty.

Last time we will ever stay here. Every aspect was disappointing! The American Sports Grill service was awful and my son could have received a better burger from Mc Donalds and not spent $19 on a hockey puck. I tried to call the front desk and had to wait 10 min to get a live person. The bed frame had rips on it and they are charging $179/night for that? If you want to charge upscale prices at your restaurants the servers need to be polished and every one we encountered from servers to bartenders lacked friendliness, product knowledge, reasonably timed service and follow through. I can't remember the last time I wrote a negative review but everything at this establishment needs a revamp!

I really like the hotel, it's about a 20 minute walk to the strip or $5 uber, they are not all suites, rather just a nice sized hotel room and great for the price. I'm taking a star because my shower dripped, the hotel advertised a strip shuttle which they don't have and the 21+ pools opened way late and was closed for a full day while I was there.

As a poker fan and player everyone knows the rio due to the Wsop. So if I m vegas, the rio is a must stop for anyone who loves poker.
The casino as a whole is quite nice.
The only downside is that it s off the strip so you sort of have to specifically plan a trip to go there to see and can t just walk there like other casinos on the strip.

They have 2 towers for hotel rooms, Ipanema Tower & the newer Masquerade Tower. I stayed at the Ipanema Tower. Parking is another story. There's hardly any surface parking available due to the "Permit Only" signs, so you end up parking in a separate structure. Layout of casino can be a bit confusing. Overall, hotel is so-so, but the staff are all friendly and helpful.

Dirty, matress ripped in pullout and found gummy bear stuck on mattress. Had to call to complain. Room service was nice but they could not offer us another room with a pullout. He did offer extra towels and bedding. Bathroom disgusting and room smells. Room is roomy but unfortunately we will never stay here again. Definitely not like the pictures. Very dated place need TLC. Took them over an hour to bring our luggage up. Friendly staff but unfortunately nice doesn't cut it. Sorry Rio we give you 2 stars.

I stayed here in January when I was in Vegas for my best friends wedding and I was pleasantly surprised this is a great hotel. The staff was very, very nice, the room we had was great about 700 square feet, full couch, safe, large closet, mini fridge, nice comfortable bed, quiet room and very clean. They also might have the best buffet in Vegas, it includes seafood and sushi with the normal price. They have a shuttle service that takes you to the strip, since it's a could blocks away from the strip on the other side of the 15. I will be staying here on a normal basis when I come back I was very happy.

All employees I have dealt with have been very rude unfriendly I felt like I was putting them out. The gal who checked us in was nice. Not once did a cocktail waitress come over and ask me if I needed a drink or anything. I was in the casino from 8pm until 5 am this morning. The people outside doing hailing cans were very unfriendly, I asked them a couple questions through out the night and I felt like I was bothering them, they were standing around chit chatting and laughing so I know I wasn't interrupting them from their work duties. Myself and my brother are very disappointed for the way we have been treated. It's not just hotel staff ,security personally are unfriendly too,its like dont ask them any questions. We have never stayed at the Rio before I have had friends stay here and they liked it .I cant say the same. Even the restaurant workers at the smash burger were rude to us. We were never out of line or drunk or rude to anyone. The guy working at the purple zebra was also unfriendly. I work in customer service and I would be very upset if my employees treated our guest the way my brother and I have been treated and ignored.

Booked a King Suite. Large room w/ 1 King Bed , a couch and writing desk. The room could have used some additional furniture to fill much underused floorspace. Large bathroom with separate dressing area. The window in the shower ,looking into the bedroom and panoramic view of the Las Vegas Valley was a nice touch. Great pooldeck with sand beach entrance would be enjoyed in warmer weather.

Nice hotel in Vegas. Rooms are spacious, they have a casino downstairs and a variety of restaurants co wrong different cuisine. They have self check in kiosks as well. The parking is good, but it took a while for us to figure the entrance to the same. You have quite a few restaurants closeby. They have a good pool as well.
