We thought it's seafood buffet. But the buffet was terrible. The poker room was not what it was. Last time we went to Rio Hotel
First time at the Rio in several years. A little disappointed that they still don't do their carnival in the sky show. Watched someone zipline from the top of the Rio, that was cool.
Awesome hotel, though a little upgrade is needed. Location is awesome, not far from strip. free self parking is an added advantage.
Awesome stay. Staff was really helpful, my hats off to Michelle. She is on of the concierge for the hotel. She was very knowledgeable. Her and the gentleman working with her did an amazing job. My only thought is that the room was super nice, but the restroom in the suite we stayed in was unfortunately not updated like the room.
Overall, I will be back!
My favorite place to gamble. If I want to gamble on the table games this is where I go.. Let it ride and three card poker is my favorite out here
Really appreciate the hospitality and the friendly staff. Stayed here for one week and have recommended the hotel to three others since I returned home. Will definitely stay here again.
Older hotel and the decor showes wear but super clean and very attentive staff. Great price compared to like hotels in the area. Easy check in and out at the electric kiosk made skipping the long line a breaze. Off the strip which is kinda nice to have a low head count with no "foot traffic" through the casinos. Great restaurants and things to do in the hotel. We will definitely be back.
Best thing about this hotel is hands down the Penn & Teller Show. The casino is a bit old, but still nice. We enjoyed the spiked icee bar as well as the oxygen bar. I was so embarrassed that I asked someone if they still had the show in the sky, which they said had been gone for 10 years! Oops!
The rooms are outdated, but large and relatively inexpensive.
Parking is free and plentiful.
It is a bit far to walk to the Las Vegas strip.
A nice hotel. Didn't stay here but we did do the zip line which is a must. And we did eat at the steakhouse which had a great view. Little bit of a walk to get here from the strip but not that far off. We did get stuck in an elevator for a half hour but they were quick to get us out and the staff handled it very well.
Horrible customer service. Upgraded to a suite. Instead of our room being cleaned....this is what we got. Our own bag of Kleenex, toilet paper, shampooand conditioner. Plus a pile of towels thrown on the couch. Wow I've had better service at at holiday inn.
Love this hotel! It's a little off the strip, but it's an all suites hotel. What that means is that the rooms are spacious. They also have good restaurant downstairs. They could use better ventilation for the bathroom though.
Very nice and clean room. Friendly and helpful staff.
The suites were way bigger an nicer than what i thought... High ceilings... Nice tub an comfortable... Nice view of the strip.
Ben in the diamond lounge made our family experience wonderful. He was by far the greatest member we've met in a diamond lounge staying in Las Vegas! You the man Ben!
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. My family and I booked a 3 night stay at this hotel thinking it was highly rated and prestigious, to celebrate thanksgiving. On the second night, our room was broken into while my little brother and I were asleep. The thief took a few hundred dollars which isn t that big of a deal but the fact that we were in the room endangered our lives. After hours of filing police reports and giving our statements, the metro police threw out our case since there aren t cameras in the hallways. Since we were terrorized, the hotel moved us to a villa suite for several of hours until we had to check out. Not once did the hotel care to even apologize for the harm and fear it caused my family. If you care about your family s safety, please do not book a room at any hotel under the Caesar s entertainment corporate.
Love the suites. Maid service is always good. They need to start getting in some new machines. I know with the sale of Caesars they are not putting in any work but they need to or people like us may start staying st the other casinos that have thE newer machines.
I love this place and it is in walking distance to the only 24 hour dispensary plus the voodoo lounge is on the 51st floor and I won over 3 grand off slots
Not a good place to play slots!!!! But the dealers at the tables were nice and very helpful 3 stars by vegas standards but a nice place all in all
First of all I want to say I went to Rio and I was assisted by a wonderful young man his name is Jeff Ramsey ,if your ever in there look him up (Promotion's ) and you will see what I mean he is a friendly helpful person that deserves a raise ,in a world where there are way to many people that act like their job is a chore ,and or it is your fault they hate it. It was wonderful to have a very nice and helpful person with a smile on his face ! So let's let him know he is appreciated and deserver's a raise !
It was an ok please to stay if you want to enjoy the resort only but if you plan on leaving prepare for cabs and or Ubers because it's not as close to the strip as it seems but the hotel alone is enjoyable! Night clubs, strip clubs (male/female) Penn and Teller an oxygen bar! I enjoyed my birthday stay!! No issues with the staff (they stay to themselves/no rudeness) Thanks Rio!!
This place was fantastic. We came here for what probably most people come to Vegas for, to see Penn and Teller. The show was flawless. We did pass through the casino on our way and I played a little Blackjack and doubled my money.. great start to the night. A great place to host one of the most amazing and iconic duos, today.
The Casino was great not that many people due to the rain. A lot of shops I hope to check out. A good place to go to
My husband and I went to The Rio to see the show WOW (World of Wonder). The hotel was beautiful and the show was so beautiful and amazing. I highly recommend this show and this hotel in Vegas
Went to Cowboy Christmas. Loved the booths there. This was the only place I bought anything.
We keep coming back to stay at The Rio when in Vegas. We are comfortable here, know what to expect and enjoy the property. Having both a Hash House A Go Go and Smashburger available are bonuses.
I've stayed here. I like it because all the rooms are suites and very spacious. I love going the hash house. Food is very good
it is nice, sparce on perks. checked in and out and spent 4 days and didn't talk to a soul.
Ample parking, reception services are quick, rooms are spacious, neat and clean, room service & security services are efficient. They've several popular shows in the hotel itself and great food options. We all liked it.
We stopped in for the seafood buffet, it was fresh, clean, well stocked, delicious and one of the more affordable buffets!
Everything was great except for the very small and uncomfortable pillows for our KING size bed.Would definitely stay there again
The hotel amenities are great. Good restaurants & plenty to do. The room needed some attention. What dropped my rating from a 4 to a generous 3 is having a surprise room inspection combined with water turned off the last night then upon checkout they wouldn't credit me anything for having no room maintenance for 4 days (my choice) yet still charged me for late checkout. Poor customer service front desk.
I don't gamble but I love live music and 172 is the hottest live music spot right now!
Rooms are pretty nice. Pics on website are old. Staff is nice too. Steak restaurant is very good. Slots are the worst..... Don't bother playing here.
We went to the 172 lounge to see the Kiss This cover band. They were amazing. Great musicians and singers. After they were done, we watched Scotty and the Griffins. They were the same guys in different clothes doing 80's tunes. It was so much fun. And the chocolate cake shots were delicious!
We went to see Wow. It's a variety type of showroom show that has something for everyone. It has lots of acrobatic dancing, some juggling, and even comedy. The bartenders we met made great drinks and were friendly. I have to take away a star because while we played slots for about a half hour, we never saw one cocktail server.. Smh. What's up with that?
We stay here for a mother/daughter Vegas vacation for a week..it was very clean in our room and there was LOTS to do in the casino. The only thing that was a problem is some of the restaurants in the casino close early....which is a issue if you have been out late. But other then that we had a awesome time and would go back again (which we are planning now!!!)
A bit old and dated, but very large rooms. Fun place to gamble.
They didn t accept Apple Pay and I had planned on using that for my stay so I had to use all my cash. I had asked the lady I made the deposit to if I could use that and she said yes. The room was a suite but it wasn t anything special. There was a window from the shower to the bedroom which I thought was really strange. It seemed outdated. Wasn t impressed. Pool wasn t open when I wanted to use it either.
Nice hotel...now a Caesar's property. Used to go years ago for their seafood buffet. This time I was there for a conference. The conference area was very nice and the casino now has nice amenities, including restaurants like Smashburger. For the easiest access into the hotel, park in the garage near I-15 on the top level.
One of my ole' favorites
All the rooms are Suite
Easy in & out parking
The spa is great
The Rio is one of a kind. Clean. Bright. Lots going on. Many lovely ladies. Go and enjoy.
Nice room, plenty of space. Didn't expect to see two bathrooms. Had a nice relaxing bath because the shower wasn't working correctly.
Awesome Place. Very clean rooms. Excellent service consistent throughout our stay.
Large rooms and were clean but very dated need to upgrade. Overpriced.
We were offered a $10 credit for not having daily housekeeping just towels .
that credit was valid only in one of their restaurants. Should have been applied daily to bill.found a bug in my food at breakfast restaurant and indian food was awful.
A sulfur smell greeted us a few times. They said someone could spray air freshener. No coffee maker in room.
Sorry but expensive and will not recommend.
Good place to stay for a day or two. Nice size rooms with full bath with a small refrigerator. Great location if you're not into the strip hype and traffic. There are some downfalls but it might be because of the age of the hotel. I'll list them just to let y'all know.
1. It's an all suite but no microwave for convenience.
2. Could be a little cleaner just because of dust here and there.
3. Dirty stains in furniture and bedding.
4. Wooden furniture had noticeable dents and scratches.
5. I didn't notice an easy access from the self parking structure, we had to walk through everything with family.
Besides that, it was a quiet and comfortable stay my family and I had. Would probably stay again.
Many Visitors like this Hotel and Casino on Flamingo about 1 mile West of Strip. Lots of Dining choices including East Indian, Asian, World Buffet, Vodoo Steak House. Also KJ Dim Sum and Chinese Restaurant which accepts Total Rewards Credits for Dining.
Lots of Table Games n Slots.
Visit Voodo Lounge Observation Deck around 4-5PM to capture awsome views of Strip near Sunset.
Home to Penn n Teller and WOW Shows.
Lots of Self Parking including No Fee Garages.
Palms Hotel and Gold Coast Hotel Casino both are just a Vegas Block away. (Gold Coast Casino has Free Shuttle Bus to Orleans Hotel/ Casino though Service may be limited to Hotel Guests and Players during Conventions and Special Events Periods.} Dennys, Walgreens, also across Flamingo Road.
RTC 203 Flamingo can Bus you across I15 in just 7-10 minutes for $3
Really nice room but this place is like a maze and if you plan on spending most of your time on the strip, do not stay here, you will regret it. I know some people say it's walking distance but when you're exhausted and you have to walk back, it will be hell and if you take Uber's your gonna spend so much unnecessary money....the buffet was pretty cool but the tamales gave my boyfriend food poisoning so that was pretty terrible. Overall, the staff was nice and the room was spacious but I probably won't be staying again :/
Saw Penn and Teller...fun show. Get there an hour early to hear Penn play jazz bass. Hang out with them after the show for a meet and greet!
Great show Comedy Cellar. We laughed so hard our faces hurt. Well worth the $. Hit of our vacation.
The Rio was a good hotel near the strip with FREE parking. The rooms here are huge and it is a short 10 minutes walk to the strip or a $10 Uber ride. The casino is a pretty good size and they have four or five big pools that were pretty empty when we went in summer, so it was nice not to be crowded. I always found a spot at the tables in the casino.
Omg this place is beautiful so much character, design quality love all the homework and the service is excellent. Quick easy on the wyd and I my goodness. The dancers are divine creatures indeed
This property is showing it's age. They got rid of the carnival in the sky show a few years ago and what was the best seafood buffet in town is now the KISS mini golf attraction. Add on the resort fees that get added after you pre-book a reservation and you get a mediocre rating. They do have free parking .
The bright spot was Leann at the front desk who has customer service down pat !
I know it's a casino, but we only went for the buffet. And boy am I glad that we did, the food was absolutely amazing. I ate until I couldn't move, and then ate a little bit more to be sure. Well worth the price.
What a fun place! The drink prices were reasonable and we had a great dining experience at the buffet. It's giant and yummy... so much to choose from! It's worth the extra distance to drive off the strip. The suites are nice, big, great views, and a peep window to the bath... Sexy. We loved it and would definitely do it again next time.
Though some items like lamps, sofa are dated. The room was very clean and housekeeping excellent. Restaurants very good. Bed was very comfortable and view was nice. Mostly quiet having mountain view. Carry ear plugs in case you have partying neighbors, this is Las Vegas.
Great all suite hotel. Very friendly staff. Stayed here for 3 nights and don't have a single complaint. Great location close to strip with free parking
Great casino with good food restaurants great tables and machine gaming. They have dancers by the tables to keep you entertained whilst they take your money. There are some great places to eat I recommend the voodoo steak house. Also check out the zip wire if you're into adrenaline
Great prices, large rooms. Hotel is pet friendly but fee can end up being very high...
Definitely needs new furniture. Sofa looks old and matress as well. It's clean. Gave us a room with other view. I paid more for strip view. Disappointed. The buffet is ok but you will find better options.
The food was ok, not really worth the price and the wait inline..
Had a awesome time, and stay. For Vegas, the room was very quiet. Would go back again.
Some great shows such as Penn & Teller, which is a must-see. Voodoo Zipline and Voodoo Lounge are also interesting things to do. The place is fairly modern and well layed out
Nice place, room was clean and tidy very quiet, but you need a taxi to get to the strip.
Enjoyed myself
Very nice employees
Stayed numerous times years ago and was happy. Things have changed. The Rio no longer offers shuttle service to the strip or to the airport. They are under construction and the CONSTANT drone of heavy equipment wore on my nerves to the point of anger. They used to have entertainment in the Masquerade casino area and that is also a thing of the past. We opted out of daily maid service but asked for clean linens. The maid attempted to open the door twice while we were sleeping, then never came back with towels or anything later. Left my notebook in room and called Lost and Found to arrange having it mailed. I got a message stating if I don't hear anything that means it wasn't found? Not, I will call you....etc., We spent so much on Uber's it was ridiculous. Will NOT go back!!
We stopped at the Rio to visit there all you can eat buffet. The food there was good they have a wide variety of foods. It's probably comparable to most of the other all you can eat buffets out there. They were a bit on the price your side considering the food that they had. I recommend you visit it was good.
It's off the strip which is one thing I liked about it. Decided to visit some family in Chandler, Arizona & decided to take a side trip to Vegas to see Penn & Teller. We, my 83yo mom & I, decided to stay at the Rio so we didn't have to rent a car. I liked this hotel because it seemed very homey to us. We weren't looking for fancy, just a place to eat & sleep. Plus it's pet friendly which I like. The hotel & restaurant personnel from the very start were very accommodating. The restaurants in the hotel that we ate at were a little pricey but to be expected. The food was good. Our suite was clean & housekeeping kept it up. I was disappointed that they didn't have a microwave because we would've been able to eat leftovers since we're not real big eaters. Check in & out was very quick & easy on the kiosk. We enjoyed our stay but probably won't be coming back for a long time if at all. Vegas is very expensive now, resort & parking fees are ridiculous. Not like the old days.
Absolutely spectacular buffet! Everything I tried was amazing! Will definitely go back when I'm in town again.
Free Parking. Nice large smoking room was available with no prior reservations on Christmas eve. Nice view, but dirty windows. The All American Grill is a bit pricey, but the food and service was excellent.
Great place and mountain view. There is free parking. Rooms are at different prices. So everyone can choose for themselves. Polite staff. The food is good, the portions are larger.
If you ever visit this place, place attend the show WOW - the World of Wonders.
As its name says, You will feel the atmost atmosphere of Brazil.
You should try out the buffet here as well.
Very clean spacious the rooms are big and the view is amazing. Very nice pool. Definitely will recommend this hotel. It is off the strip but at a great location. Voodo lounge is located here.
Came to the Rio Pool Club, and it was great! good music, good drinks, nice people. definitely would go back
The room we stayed in at the Rio was large and relatively nice, although it smelled a bit when we first arrived. It is walking distance to the strip and has some decent food as well. Recommended.
Solid hotel for the price. Voodoo Louge above was really nice. Rooms were big and overall clean. Little wear and tear in the rooms but nothing that would ruin your stay.
Youll never get bored here but they do havto make it better travel walking from the strip.
There not gambling or partying. went to a Penn and Teller show. The show was OK. Easy access to the location. Super quick uber pick up. There are 2 locations to grab an uber from; east and west.
The Rio has the best pizza and chicken wings, they also have an awesome pho soup. You can buy this food inside the casino's restaurants. Me and my husband love the Voodoo club which is located on the roof top of the casino. You get the best view of Las Vegas from the top of the Voodoo club.
Lovely place. 5 stars if the check in process was a little easier. They do have a lot of self check-in kiosks. But since we went on a long weekend and there was longer than usual crowd, the machines were not functioning as usual. But the staff were very courteous and great!
Not the best hotel in Vegas! The rooms are really old and outdated. However, the buffet was delicious and would highly recommend.
I can only make reference to the show WOW. I enjoyed the show and the fact the actors worked with the audience made it more enjoyable.
Even thou it s off the strip. I loved staying and highly recommend the restaurants! Nice big rooms!
Stayed specifically because they had a pet friendly policy. But the pet area is so far from the hotel we never made it. Otherwise a great experience.
We were only here for Penn and Teller the show but weren't overly impressed with it. the casino is dark in places and always filled with lots of smoke. Compared to strip hotels it looks slightly dated. I've heard the rooms are very nice but after seeing the lobby and how far off the strip it is I don't think it'll be a destination we stay at. There just isn't enough to do in the hotel the justify staying there.
Had a blast on the Rio Zip line... best ride ever hands down! Also viewed amazing photos at a real art gallery
Great deal for Sunday thru Thursday! It was practically free! Big rooms! Great amenities!
The room was very spacious, but the carpet and the counter in the bathroom were dirty, and when I called to complain about it, they didn't, seem particularly concerned about it or offer me a room change even though the hotel is definitely not at capacity on a Monday night. It was also very difficult to get information about basic amenities like the location and hours of the pool, and how to order from room service (which isn't available after eleven?). In general the room just seemed tired and poorly cared for. Also the quality of the toiletries was poor. I've gotten better shampoo and conditioner at Hampton Inn. Also, when I was researching hotels, there was a reference to shuttle service to the Strip but it is not available so to get anywhere from this hotel you will be driving or taking a car service.
On the plus side, when I asked for a toothbrush the evening I arrived, housekeeping brought it up promptly, the towels in the bathroom were a nice weight and texture (I hate thin, threadbare towels), and the elevators were relatively quick. I wouldn't completely rule out staying here, but I would only recommend staying here if you get a really great deal. It's like a Vegas version of Holiday Inn, and those are the prices I'd pay.
Nice place for an older Casino. Comfortable beds. best looking drink girls in town
The hotel is budget friendly but keep in mind there are usually resort fees that they tack on. Internet is free for up to only 2 devices per room. The rooms are pretty spacious as well, and most rooms have 2 sinks so that's great! The place is pretty quiet but we did have a couple next door who was fighting so that got intense. Overall, this would be a great choice for guests.
