Overpriced buffet for off strip location. $40 buffet with no crab or fresh juice. Very disappointed. They've used to be the best buffet in town decade ago.

Great place to stay. Avoid some of the strip traffic while still very close. Very nice pool that is kid friendly. Love the sea shell waterfall. Tip: use the Starbucks back by the convention area. Short walk for faster service and a lot of seating.
The convention staff is always professional and courteous. The food is always great as well. This is our third time there and it's consistent. I dislike the smoking being allowed still, but the rest of the experience is always good. Restaurants are really good too.
Been going here since before I could gamble. Lots of familiar faces still working there. I would like to give it 4 stars but the hotel itself is in need of a remodel. The All American Grill still has a great cut of steak though. Wish I could make it back more often.
The shower was clogged up. Everything I put in the refrigerator got Frozen, I don't know if it ever been defrosted in 2019. The rooms really could use some updating. What to Starbucks, when I got to the middle of my coffee I realized they gave me the bottom of the pot. It tastes awful. This will definitely be my last time staying when I have so many other.
A little bit older hotel. Rooms could use some updating. Carpet in room was stained. Off the Strip so you will have to take an Uber or cab to get anywhere. Good restaurants and bar. Honest staff, I lost my purse and thankfully a bartender turned it into security.
Great place tables were great will definitely come again
Beautiful hotel I did not stay but I played and had some drinks I enjoyed it very much.
The room was pretty clean. Staff was friendly and check in was easy. Beds and pillows were not very comfortable and need updating as well as the Casino fixtures. I'd stay again as long as the price was reasonable.
Its on the other side of the freeway and since it is, it isnt extremely full and overcrowded, parking is always available too
It may not be the fanciest by any stretch of the imagination. But the rooms a large and cheap, the people are nice and I wound up having a really good time.
Love there Rooms. The bathrooms are starting to show a sign of wear and tear.
Super fancy great atmosphere and hospitality I love.
You got to try the buffet here! Many years ago it was the best in the USA. It's still really good. The hotel is nice but a tad older. It feels very mardi Gras like.
I ve stayed here many times. The strip is just across the freeway. Valet and self parking are still free here. The rooms are usually well priced and while I wouldn t call them suites, the regular rooms are bigger than they are at other hotels. Rooms could use some improvements, like usb ports and coffee makers. Plenty of places to eat and good food inside the Casino. Overall, a good place to stay for the price if it s not the weekend, but if you can find something similarly priced on the strip, go there.
I miss the sky show :_-< But the VooDoo Zipline is awesome!!
The Rio is one of my all time favorite casinos in Vegas. From ziplining to world class shops. A must visit every time in Vegas.
Rooms were nice and big. Nice hotel if you don't want to stay right on the strip.
I'm just enjoying myself and it's a good place to hang your hat
Really enjoyed my stay here. I got my room upgraded for free, spacious room and a beautiful view to the strip. Easy in and out and in close proximity to the main casinos. I loved the pool or pools cause they have several and one that is for Adults only. People were nice and helpful and I will definetely go back in a heart bit.
This review is for room 373 in the Impenepa (so) tower, third floor. My mom and I stayed for 3 days from February 5 - 8. Room definitely felt dated, with lamps that needed to be manually turned on. Only light switches for the entrance & bathroom.
Bathroom too, also felt dated as well. Water knob for the bathtub looked a bit old. I did have some trouble in trying to put the water, to a tolerable temperature for my showers.
On the 6th, brief power problems in the morning. However, it was back to normal when we returned. The sink clogged on the 8th & the lampshade cover, for the table light fell off. Those two issues were fixed by maintenance.
Restaurant options is few with moderate prices. We ate at Pho Dang & KJ Dim Sum. I kinda didn't like the Dim Sum, but only because Dim sum ladies were in my opinion pushy.
Overall, a good stay. In my opinion, based on the room we stayed in. The Rio feels dated but in a classic old-school hotel.
Huge rooms! Great price! 2 Wine glasses, 2 high and low baller glasses and ice bucket were ready in room as requested. Voodoo lounge on roof was fun and the zip line was there too. I enjoyed my stay here.
Favorite Vegas spot. Awesome pool. Cool nightclub. Nice staff, overall great Casino
Great place! Love the All Suites. Very clean. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. One of my favorite places for slot play.
Good hotel, clean, convenient for the Penn and Teller show, also a decent Vietnamese restaurant downstairs!
Amazing place lots of entertainment and restaurants. Wait staff is awesome and attentive. Great comfortable rooms and easy access to casino.
It was awesome nice shops good food and lots of fun... hot spot
Spent hours gambling here ,the place is nice, we enjoyed our time here, the valet is outrageous but its vegas!
Not an easy casino to stay at and very confusing. Two different parking garages but registration won't hand out a map to help with the confusion. Once in our room, the bathroom floor was not clean and neither was the vanity. It looks like they had mopped the floor with dirty water and the water dipped on the floor and left to dry. I came to this casino because it had great buffet years ago but won't be able to stay the next day to enjoy it. This casino isn't easy for someone that cant walk very well.
Came for the Star Trek Convention, but also enjoyed all the action and entertainment Las Vegas has to offer. All the rooms are spacious suites at an affordable rate, and the Rio is great stop off the strip with easy access to everywhere. Plus while you're here, Penn & Teller is a must see with a zip-line on top of the hotel for the adventuresome. For the gamers, all the action of Vegas table games & slots including a video gaming lounge. Been here many times but always have a great time at the Rio.
Buffet was too pricey. Notice slots were not paying decent jackpots any where/anyone but were able to be kept entertained with game bonus. Favorite slots were not available
Make sure you bring your own food/snacks/etc. The cashier in the WSOP cafeteria tells me with a straight face, $10.66 for two cranberry juices. The initial price is $4.33(already a ridiculous markup), but than he said, "tax and GRATUITY! Lmao @ that one, especially when they are not providing any type of service. I don't even think that's legal. Can 7-eleven start charging a gratuity? How about Wal-Mart?
Vegas is already 8% tax. Casinos (like this one) are not doing their part in making sure tourists, or locals, want to come back.
Stayed here for a week to attend a convention. Was pleased with hotel. Rooms are a little bit dated. My room smelled of smoke even though it was a nonsmoking room. Great views. Remember it is off the strip so you'll need some form of transportation to and from. Plenty of taxis, shuttles, and ride shares available.
Vodoo rooftop nightclub at the Rio is a must, the night views are spectacular, topped with a great atmosphere and good live DJ playing
Rooms were ok. But wanted to charge $50 a room to check in 2 hours before check in time. The front desk agent said rooms were available and ready, even for platinum members they wanted to charge. So the room sat ready and empty for 2 hours while we waited. We refused to gamble there. Went to the Buffett, it was made smaller and less food. Not happy at all. Needless to say I'm never staying or eating here again.
Cool place to stay. The hotel in general is due for an upgrade. Customer service was good.
This hotel is nice. The easy check in wasn t easy. The lines were extremely long. Only great thing is the DJ had it popping in the lobby which distracted us from the long line. I won big the first night and lost it back the next night. We went up stairs to the Voodoo lounge on the 51 floor lounge provides amazing views. The room was clean, but outdated. I would consider staying here again.
Nice casino.. To bad it won't be there much longer.. Went for the seafood buffet and they didn't tell us that it isn't a seafood buffet any longer until we were already in and seated.. BIG disappointment...
Nice hotel, to bad I hear they are going to close the hotel down and demolish the buildings..
My room was huge! Loved every minute of my experience at The Rio. I love to play Bingo and the hotel/casino right across the street offers it from 9am-11pm every day. Between the two places we had everything we could possibly want. Great selection of machines! I help my own while gambling there as well.
Room was clean , service was good ,
Pool area had good energy and friendly service.
The American grill restaurant is pretty solid
The room was very nice. The front desk charged my debit card way to much. They said they would refund it but it takes 3-5 days. (Thank you very much). No coffee in the rooms any more, forced to wake up and walk a mile for a cup of coffee. No microwave to heat up anything.
Other than that the room was nice.
Rio deserves negative stars. Worst hotel experience ever! Rooms were old and dirty. Entire hotel need an upgrade. Couch in the room was worn out. I can't believe they feel paying guests should sleep and shower in dirt like this. Staff are rude. Non-Smoking room smelled like a smoking room. They aren't clear with their policies.
The Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino is an excellent places to hangout, gamble, catch a show, while being relatively close to the Strip. Their rooms are quite spacious and affordable during the off season/weekdays.
We did not stay here but we did visit the casino and considered it a future option. I had not been here since college. But I just want to say wow. The place is tired . It s in need of renovation. Tile cracked floors just felt dirty and empty. No atmosphere.
The worst thing of all is the stench. I m unsure what it was, but it sure seemed to smell like septic issues.
We went to the Rio for the buffet. It was one of the best I've ever been to In all my experiences. Do yourself a favor and try it..
Nice casino and entertainment, varied shops and decor, this has a real vegas feel to it.
Clean environment and friendly service staff.
Nice place! Probably the best variety of things in Vegas, just about anyone can find the things they want. Great food selection, all the casino games and a huge race and sports book.
Rooms are all suites, that part was great! 1 or 2 bed suites, dinning area with 2 chairs, sofa, chair N ottoman, each bed has a end bench seat, separate bathroom with bath tub N shower, toilet, sink with big counter N mirror. The other is a big vanity area with sink and a vanity chair, very large counter with large mirror. Coffee maker N coffee, small refrigerator, flat screen TV I guess 40 inch. Get a room with a view of the mountains, I suggest at least the 15 floor. Food is good, very reasonable. Some cool things to do, shows, club for the let's say 60 yrs and younger. My spouse and I are in our late 50's and we had a blast at the club! Casino drink service was TERRIBLE
Slot's where pretty good for the most part. The sports book area was great, lots of big screens and pretty much all the NFL games on Sundays and college ball on Saturday. And pretty much all the the best sports that were on at the same time. Other than the drink service, I myself drink soda N coffee, but my spouse does drink.
Over all it is a great time, room service was great!
I ve been working in the hotel business for six years and have nothing but great things to say regarding the staff and accommodations. This was my second stay and I ll be back. That s a five star review even after a big poker tournament loss so albeit I m in a bad mood I very much appreciate the hospitality of this establishment.
Happy Hour everyday...nice location on the other end of the strip. Exciting place to stay
Had a great view. Price reasonable. Needs some chair by the check-in.
Fun well organized destination to play poker. Coming back next June to enjoy the good times.
Okay place for a casino. Downside is the resort fee which is for pool and fitness center. I visited in the spring so I couldn't use the pool and they asked for more money to use additional anemities like jacuzzi and sauna. The room was clean, spacious with almost everything but a microwave.
It was a very good show.
Their magic tricks.
Were really great.
And they included the audience
In them. Had people on stage with them.
And posed for pictures out
In the lobby after the show
My wife and myself had the best time here, the pay outs were fair, and, when we joined the players club,we found that our platinum card allowed us to get treated "V.I.P."style all over Vegas...
I used to enjoy going to the Rio for a weekend away. It had been a number of years since I had stayed there. I was sad to see how much it has declined. The show i n the sky is quiet and so is the whole casino. Our first room had issues with a broken lamp and seemed run down. The front desk did give us a discount on an upgrade to a nicer room and that was greatly appreciated. I hope it finds its old glory again.
The first room we stayed at didnt have water. There was some sort of water service problem that it didnt reach our floor. Once water was restored, the toilet was leaking from the back. Maintenance was quick to come fix it, but it wasnt the best welcome for Rio.
We had a king room overlooking the pool. Very good view of Mt Charleston The regular suite rooms are very spacious but furniture is quite dated in the masquerade tower.
Because a zero is not available. I reserved a Mountain View room and ended up with a handicap room overlooking air condition units. I called in to the front desk to inquire as to the accommodations and was told that there was nothing they could do. I asked for a change of pillows, due to not resting with the present ones and was told there were no others. I didn t have a restful night my entire stay. Complained to the front desk upon leaving and was told to place a comment online. Can you believe this? I ve made several trips to Las Vegas and this by far has been my worst stay. Never again Rio!
The buffet is VERY BAD! I went there on the assumption that it was still as good as it was years ago. I was so disappointed.
Very nice casino.. Friendly people...
Dancing girls on boxes...
My wife and I really enjoyed this suite. The room was clean and very spacious with beautiful views. We also enjoyed the hot tub in the bedroom. The service was excellent. The hotel is very close to the strip. We will definitely stay here again.
Rio is a usual stop every time I'm in Vegas. Their carnival buffet that's part of the 24 hours pass is one of my favorites to visit. A little sad they got rid of the seafood section, but it's still over all better then most. This year was a first that we visited the sports lounge and was surprised how nice the drink guy was. And lastly I for some reason have better luck in this casino when it comes to the slot machines!
We like staying here, the rooms are big and clean. They do have very odd TV placement though, they have the TV right in front of the huge window that most people like to be able to look out of. They have lots of self check in stations so More
Very long wait to check in @ 11:30pm. Room was dated and dirty. Had to turn around on the bed as it had a serious lean towards the headboard. Casino is weak. NO USB ports anywhere in property. Left my wall charger at home as every other property I've stayed at in my last 5 visits has usb ports everywhere. Rooms, lounges and even gaming tables. Had to buy a POS battery that barely gave me 50% charge. And that was the second one. The first one was completely DOA. Back to the Flamingo where I normally stay...
Make sure to keep valuables locked in the safe provided...I had left a couple of cellphones in my room only to have them go missing less than an hour later. I was the ONLY person besides housekeeping that had access. And forget about lost & found/security as u probably guessed, they didn't find anything...which makes their surveillance dept pointless if u ask me. What happens if something more important than a couple of phones went missing!?
Very nice staff... although I booked a smoking room and didn't get the first night, Ilene was the best and got me in the next night... Staff is great... Front desk needs more help, check-in time was WAY to slow...
Check in was horrible. Huge line and only 3 sometimes 4 people checking in. For Saturday night it was pretty dead. The parade in the sky was either stopped or on break. Overall, not our best staycation.
We got our car broken into and they did nothing about it and our rooms bed had stains and there was a pubic hair in the bath tub. There were people running in the halls screaming at night.
It's okay, it's an older casino. I was visiting the casino for a show. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of selection of food and prices. Everyone seem friendly. But it needs some remodeling. And there's a sewage smell in some areas. The ATM machine wanted a 10.00 fee, so I suggest to go someplace to get cash first. The buy ins are high...so it was a disappointment If you wanted to spend just a bit.
Note: If anyone's here to figure out what the WiFi speed is, it's about 15-20 mbps.
Easily fast enough for the video interview that I needed it for. You get 2 devices per room included in the resort fee.
I've never known true luxury, I probably never will. But for the cheap price I paid for a Deluxe King in the Masquerade tower, this is some seriously decent luxury!
I already wish I had stayed here more nights.
The room itself is a little worn down, old carpet, lightly tattered furniture, a little rust around the drains. Doesn't bother me a bit.
The room is huge, and has a great layout!
The massive window view is absolutely phenomenal from the 23rd floor, and this gorgeous building is a whopping 50? 51? floors, the top-most of which seems to be a rooftop bar which I haven't even seen yet, but I'm totally on the hype train.
I don't gamble, I don't hang out at bars, I'm definitely not this place's target audience.
Las Vegas was just a cool stop between Denver and San Diego.
But walking around the casino area and looking at all shops and restaurants this place had to offer was a fun couple hours.
The pools though.
There's a bunch of them, and they're nice!
There's so much going on in the out door resorty area.
I got the most basic room this place has to offer and I'm impressed, and there's like 10 tiers of opulence above this!
The registration attendants were very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Parking is free and there's soooo much room for parking, it's never gonna be an issue.
I'll definitely be coming back here.
It's run down now. It's time for real to close. Or keep up with the competition across the street.
When to see sin City kiss amazing show what a blast
Rooms and motel were great. However you d think I was the first person ever to leave my key and wallet in my room. It took over more than hour for the hotel to decide to send me up with a security guard to let me in my room. The front desk guy was extremely rude.
First time in Vegas, so it was an experience. There are a couple of restaurants and bars in the building, which makes it nice if you don't want to leave to get food. The pool area was great, although there could definitely be more shady areas. The rooms were nice, but there was some wear and tear visible.
I have been only at casino which was ok. More of a night club atmosphere. The choices of poker tables were very disappointing. I expected more choice and more people.
They have a wine cellar. They have happy hour flights and the service is spectacular. That was my favorite. I hate I missed the seafood buffet, but I did catch an Indian buffet. It was wonderful.
Rough around the edges. Friendly employees but the whole place needs to be renovated.
Off the strip but worth the trip a few blocks over. Nice ambience on the inside. One of the cleaner casinos I have experienced.
Nice selection of games, decent floor layout, lots of shopping and other great amenities! Pretty low foot traffic for a Wednesday night.
Rio needs to do some upgrades and I'm looking forward to see what they bring to the table!. Cool place to kill some time, ended up going to KISS mini golf with the fam and it was really fun.
The Rio is one of the most recognizable hotel-casinos in Las Vegas, and even inside does it give a flare of uniqueness. As an attendee of the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival, I found the event areas abundantly spacious and well-staffed. I hope subsequent events are held here!
Our room was overbooked so they offered us an upgrade. It was incredible. We've been to a lot of hotels in the area and were incredibly impressed. We still enjoy hotels without casinos because we have children, but this was very manageable. Room was clean in Vegas standards though I still wouldn't walk barefoot. Pretty typical though and much better than others. We would definitely return and recommend.
This was my first time starting at this hotel and at first I was underwhelmed. Their front desk seemed to operate on the slower side despite only having 10 parties in front of us, it took us an hour to check in. The casino floor seems a little small and outdated but what made my experience was the fact the rooms were spacious. Clearly this is where your money goes when staying here and their location is ideal when staying near the strip
It started off, badly, first we tried to use their self check in, well it gave us the wrong room, then we had to try the main desk, they apologize and give us a different room, but when we go back up, we find out that the room is already occupied. Well third time we go back down to the desk. And they're very apologetic and upgrade us to the thirty third floor. Now we are happy. Technology sometimes sucks
The room was spacious and had a great view. It had 2 king beds, a desk and chair, a nice sofa that could be used for a bed, a small refrigerator, and a stool in the bathroom area.
We stayed in the Ipanema tower and the rooms were clean and smoke free! Front desk service wasn't the best. The pool was amazing and the KISS mini golf was fun!
The Rio is starting to show its age. The machines near the parking entrance are old and nobody is ever on them. The "Kiss" area for kids is also empty, and some of the shops/clubs inside the casino are closed. Areas of the casino are in need of repair, and you can tell that this property is not one of the important ones for Caesar's resorts. Hash house offers great food, and floor attendants and servers are great, but the declining atmosphere leaves more to desire compared to other Vegas resorts.
Saw the WOW show. Great show!! I highly recomend it! The place is small so it's not hard to get in and out of. The set up is ok. If your short try to get seats in the front it's not stadium type seats. I took my 12 year old niece who is taller than me we sat in the 4th row (last row on the floor) we got away behind the tallest guy in the audience who happen to have an afro hair style. (Not his fault we are short) the usher saw the problem and upgraded our seats to the first table right in front!!! All of the performers are amazing! And in great shape I would definitely recommend this show and see it again! They do have a bar and snacks and the table seats come with a server.
1500 square foot suite, family and fun! You can t do better than that.
Not a bad hotel/casino but needs a lot of updating. Nevada has a huge issue now with legalizing Marijuana and enforcing the Federal laws within casino's. My smoke free room smelled like Chich & Chong lived in it. My water temperature never got hotter than body temperature and the tub drained really slow. The TV guide showed 1 show on but the channel had something else being broadcast. Carpet in my room was torn and pulling up. No coffee maker in the room or microwave. The Fridge worked great. Prices for alcohol were crazy expensive and soda out of the machine was $3.00. ATM fee charged $10 to withdrawal money.
The Rio provides a chill atmosphere. They have bars, restaurants and gambling. It's off the strip and less hassle and not as crowded. I liked that it didn't have a instant smell of smoke. Being a non smoker there is nothing worse than a stinky casino. The restrooms were clean and well maintained.
Loved the hotel, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The casino is laid out well and not too crowded so it was easy to get a seat on the table games. This is one of the big plus points for me. On one of our evenings there, we popped in a few casinos on the strip and you couldn't get an open seat. The main drawback for me is the dining options, there is really only one place to get breakfast and while it seems to get high reviews, we must have caught them on a bad week. They have a few Starbucks, but as a group, we aren't fans. The remaining dining options are very limited and not plentiful. The buffet did not have a breakfast seating which would have been nice.
Two of us visited the spa while we were there and it was a wonderful experience. They have all the bells and whistles and overall it was very clean and well kept.
Pretty boring, way off of the strip. Has a great buffet and some entertainment options. Has a decent score because the rooms are massive.
Went to the Rio carnival buffet for its famous seafood options. However Google was wrong, they no longer have seafood and have not for several years. The buffet option were delicious even without the seafood, and staff was very friendly too.
Stayed here 7/1 - 7/4 2019. They closed the waterfall pool for the last 2 days and refused to tell me and my mom why.
I had the most wonderful experience there as we lost track of time exploring all the nice amenities they had to offer. One of which was the buffet all u can eat for a whopping $35 per person. I was part of a group of 12 persons. Really loved it!
