Well what can I say... if you want to play ponies in Ottawa this is the only place. Had a great outing and the Friday night buffet for the first time ever and was super impressed at the quality and service provided. Two thumbs up staff.

Love the casino. Can't wait to see what Hard Rock does with it. I just wish they had more updated Video slots like in Vegas. There are a few but with the crowds there it needs to be bigger. Overall lots of fun.

Only went for the Friday buffet. Dining room is a little too busy to be comfortable. If the tables were even 10cm further from each other, it would be a huge improvement. The food was great. The dinner rolls were somewhat stale but everything else was very good. The staff were very polite and accommodating. Despite the overwhelming number of guests, the server was very friendly and efficient. Overall a good buffet experience.
Busy place. staff always cleaning. Bathrooms clean. On the problematic side ..... sometimes you can wait awhile for help if your machine has problems.
The restaurant has a good value for the cost. Large selection of food.
I have frequented casino's all throughout North America. I went to check out the property and must say I was not impressed for a number of reasons. First off, I have never been in a casino where the fly's outnumber the patrons. Just a miserable horrific experience attempting to eat and play while constantly waving off fly's all over the buffet and gaming areas . I have heard the slot machines have shut down numerous times from other players, and when that happens, it could take hours to get paid the money you are owed. The high roller area smells like food because poor planning put the noodle bar about 10 feet from the tables and it was hot in the room so I left. The high limit slot room is so small I felt like I was sitting in a shipping crate The time it took to cash out my voucher was also at a snails pace because they where understaffed at the cashiers cage . To make matters even worse I witnessed a pit girl make a dealer uncomfortable by berating them over nothing at all right in front of me . They said they are still ironing out the bugs but from what I witnessed , the fly's are the ones running the place. 100% will never return . The casino in Hull has nothing to fear.
Good buffet options and enjoyed watching the races. Not an upper scale experience but decent value.

Fun Thursday night at the races. Have an outdoor patio or for the hungry there's always the buffet.

Had the Friday night meat lovers buffet. During the month of November it includes a whole lobster! Delicious! Highly recommend

This casino is quite up to date with all your favorite tables and machines. Live racing and events. This place is great in the summer with outdoor concerts and home to the capital fair.
Wish this place was better located. More towards downtown Ottawa to take advantage of the tourism and also bring in people from the Quebec side.
Went to the restaurant last night, after only having one bite of a vegetable and realizing that the vegetable dip was actually tzatziki sauce i was completely sick. The rest of my group continued to eat while i was ill and we waited for the waitress to come with water and drinks. After 15 minutes of waiting we asked to bus girl to send our waitress over because i was really sick and we needed our drinks still. 20 minutes after this we asked the bus girl AGAIN where our waitress was. At this point i told her i was extremely sick from one bite, it was my birthday ontop of this and that i was furious that our waitress was mia for half an hour. She only gave the excuse that they were using a new system and she would find her right away. 10 minutes later she finally showed up, gave us our bill even after i said i didnt eat and i was sick we were still charged for my meal.
Worst service i have ever received. Not even a "sorry this is how we will fix this" i only got the excuse of some unknown system stopping my waitress from being in the dining room for over 40 minutes not filling water or taking a single plate away from tables. Never ever eat here.
My friends bachelor party was a total bust. The doorman got too familiar with the guest of honor. Not only that the food was horrible. The floors were stickier than the strip club. We even tip for the crappy service. Here's a tip. Get with the program.

I went to a special car show. There were no races that day, but the track is very good. They have a casino which was very busy

Buffet was good. Casino needs a bit of umph put into it. Take a few tips from the hull casino, free coffee etc. More atmosphere would be great too. I'm sure there will be many changes when it becomes the hard Rock.

There was live music, a place for dancing in front of the stage. If it wasn't for the ringing from the slots (hard on my ears a bit) we would have stayed longer. A fun place for more than just gambling

Went here for a friends birthday dinner and to watch/bet on the horse races. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. Tables are very close together and the seating arrangements aren't all that great. We won't go out of our way to go back any time soon.
The coat check is now free. Rock Star Rewards give you 50% off at their merchandise boutique. They have some really cool merchandise in that shop! The new machines are fun and the table games have great staff. Spoke to many regulars who rave about the new menu in the buffet. I can't wait to try that one evening. Excellent time had by all. I highly recommend.

Went for the Capital Fair and 4 Monsters in motion with Loud and Dirty. AMAZING SHOW!!! Those boy know how to drive and put on a show!!! Definitley seeing that again! Fair was incredible too! Tons of rides, games and vendors and for a big city, very reasonably priced!!! GREAT DAY ADVENTURE FOR THE FAMILY!!!

Games were fun and dealers were excellent but the food was mediocre at best: expensive and tough/ bland.
Food was delicious - better than it used to be and the horse-racing is always a fun way to spend the evening.
Some of the ride conductors were sort of rude and pushy.
My boyfriend and I went a month ago on a Tuesday for the buy one get one free dinner. No one told us we needed to present our member cards at the desk to get the promotion so instead of $19.99 we paid $45. I called numerous times to complain to a manager since we drove an hour out of town. Finally one called me back and said her would give us a free buffet whenever we went next.
This past weekend we arranged with him to go on Sunday but he failed to tell the serving staff. Service was horrible and no one was aware of the free meal. It took 30 minutes after dinner to fight for our free meal and I even showed all the texts. Very dissatisfied
When I come back home and visit wit h my family I always make a stop at Rideau Carleton for a brunch. And I have to say even tho it was a long weekend for Canada day the employees decided to open the doors of the restaurant and served with big smiles great service. Thank you for welcome home feeling.
Not a gambler and food is sub-par. I have a difficult time finding any reason to go here.
For my 1st visit to this establishment, I was unimpressed. The lady who greeted me was professional and kind and so was the man who cashed us out. Yet, in between the bbq was not good at all. My chicken was so tough and undercooked I couldn't get it off the bone. The place was ok but the bathroom was dirty. I don't think I shall return. I was very disappointed.

Food was good, however was charged $16.55 gratuity (2 adults, 3 kids). I did get a cup of coffee ( was never asked once if I wanted a refill), not asked is anything one else wanted a drink, I had to help get the waters and refill them. Even though it s a buffet, but not once where was asked of food was ok or anything. I was a server for 18 years so I know the industry. Service here ( buffet or not) was non-existent.

Becoming a Hard Rock casino, so still under a lot of construction inside. Big line ups to pick up your weekly treat. That's a pain. They need to figure that out. Also, trying to find a machine to cash out your money is not easy. You get lots of exercise. Restaurant so far is still the same.
I love the craps and blackjack, friendly dealers. Too bad for the high minimums of $10 and $15. I can't afford high stakes, if I have the time I would be a regular if the minimum is $5.
