Our trip to Richmond Crown Mini resulted in buying a beautiful used vehicle. Steve Lerner was very knowledgeable about the car. He showed excellent people skills and was very helpful by offering to buy lunch. No question was too insignificant to research. He was concerned for our safety due to traveling a long distance to the dealership. He gave a follow up call the next day to see if there were any problems with the vehicle or if we had other questions. He made sure the touch ups were made on the car before we left. It was the best experience I have had in purchasing a vehicle. The employees at Crown Mini in Richmond are very professional. I liked how they worked as a team helping each other. I will return.
I purchased my first Mini from this dealership and was very pleased with the experience. Since then I've taken the car in for one factory recall issue (timing chain tensioner) and two routine maintenance appointments, each trip has been a pleasure. The sales and service staff were friendly, answered my myriad of questions without seeming to be bothered, and I will certainly be a repeat customer.

Although we were not able to come to an agreement on a car, Nick has been super responsive and helpful. Pam tried to meet our needs but we just couldn't get to a compromise.
I will say that Richmond BMW was one of the more caring dealerships which we have encountered.

Wow! What a turnaround from our past dealership and their service center. It was well worth driving the extra 45 miles to be treated with the utmost respect. I cannot begin to praise this service center enough. If anyone from the Williamsburg/Newport News is sick of the way you have been treated from the local dealer here, please make a day and take a trip here. Paul was super helpful, respected our time and made no false claims or promises. He was very thourough, and attentive. 10/10!
Nothing but good things to say about this dealership. Worked with Akshay, Eve, and Shashank to buy a 2020 Z4 M40i and all were extremely courteous, efficient, and accommodating. What a difference from my local dealership that I ditched to work with BMW of Richmond instead!
Additionally this was on Christmas Eve AND they worked with me on a tricky trade-in (sorry again about both things guys!) - called them one day, agreed on the price, and drove down (and back up with my new car :) the next day.
I'll definitely be coming back for my next car, only wish you guys were a little closer so I could come in for service too.
I had a great experience at West broad BMW. Tim was my advisor and he is always helpful and ensures that my car is done correct the first time. The week prior to my last appointment. I told Tim I had an issues and he was able to tell me about how long the repairs would take ,and was able to fit me in on a day that worked for me. He knew that I needed a loaner and he made it happen, sometimes loaners are hard to come by. He kept me informed and he is very knowledgeable as well. I am completely satisfied, this is why I will continue to drive all the way from chesterfield to get my car serviced.
Rick N. was a literal answer to prayer. I have had my Mini serviced at 3 different dealerships in 2 states over the past 7 years and never have I been as pleased with the service and experience as I have been with Crown Mini the past few weeks. He listened to my concerns, offered advice, and made sure I understood everything that was going on with my car. I felt like I was going in to see a friend rather than getting my car fixed. Thank you. Also, the quality of repairs is top notch, as should be expected.
I will never return to this dealer.. I had my car serviced paid $1800.00 that was not the problem.. The problem came when the service manager started with the lies. Richmond BMW integrity is definitely in question . They quoted me a price for service telling me they had discounted the price for the service.. I took my car to Midlothian BMW and the same job quoted for a lower price . Be aware of the servicr manager Alan at Richmond BMW
Best vehicle purchase experience by far! My sales associate, Adam Herbert, is very knowledgeable and was able to address any and all questions/concerns regarding the X5 I was purchasing. Adam helped make the transaction as smooth as possible and he spent extra time to help me get acclimated to the vehicle's on-board systems. Staff are very friendly, showroom is clean and spacious. I was there for a state inspection, which I passed with no so-called "required repairs needed". Nonetheless, I've had repairs done at that facility in the past with satisfactory results.
I made the appointment online for a oil change and called a few days later to add an inspection. I was told that was no problem when I had called. When I got to the dealer I was told that they may not be able to take my car because they are closing soon. (I drove an hour to get there and called saying I would be a few minutes late due to bad traffic) They tried to charge me for the inspection which I had never paid in the previous 5 years that I have been taking my car there. I then got an attitude because our advisor said he would cover the inspection fee. It was the worst service I have had since I have been going there.
I received a loaner vehicle from Richmond BMW as part of a charity auction vacation package. Steve Lerner was very attentive to make sure I got a great car (BMW 325i convertible) and that everything was ready when I arrived. Unfortunately, I picked up a nail in one of the tires between the dealership and my drive home that day, but the run-flat tire allowed me to continue driving and I took it back to Steve the next morning with the bad news. I thought I was going to have to pay for the new tire, but Steve arranged to replace the tire at no charge to me! Since my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary that weekend and using the car to travel to the Tides Inn, the expense of that tire could have put a damper on our weekend. Instead we had a great weekend and really enjoyed driving with the top down!
Steve Lerner helped us with our new purchase. Wow, he is awesome. I usually feel any car dealership experience is like pulling teeth, but Steve and Dmitriy were great. I was very entertained, and it was the lowest stress ever buying a car. The entire team was great, and I'd heartily recommend the dealership to anyone looking to purchase a car.

AWESOME, GREAT, and PROFESSIONAL Service by Jenish Shah. I went to Richmond BMW looking a specific car. Jenish took time to explain the vehicle options and provided us a test drive. He was very professional and easy to work with through out the BMW X3 purchasing process. There was never any pressure put on me during the process. I was offered a fair price on my trade in. This was by far the best car buying experience I have had. I highly recommend him and the Richmond BMW team.
I waited a month or so to make sure my used car had no issues-it does not. It's a well inspected and well taken care of vehicle. I definitely had a very difficult situation to deal with, having purchased another vehicle the week before which was unfortunately totaled in a hit and run accident. My credit was affected by the incident and it was difficult to get the interest rate I wanted with a small down payment (I had invested my down payment into the previous car), but Shashank was very patient and helped me get to where I needed to be. It was a headache for us both, but I really appreciate the friendly service I received here. Steve was my salesman and he was great also. Today, the temperature dropped dramatically and the tire pressure dropped (as expected). I'm at the dealer now getting my tires pumped up. They really are a stand-up dealership, they are very friendly (even when you're buying used) and I definitely recommend them/would do business with them in the future.
Did a good job but was not aware that repair was under warranty extension from a known issue. Fortunately I came with a printout of the issue and warranty coverage from BMW. IMHO they should have determined this before they presented me with a bill. When I showed them the BMW info they had to verify my assertion and afterward seemed happy to honor it. From what I can tell they did a good job. Overall I like this dealership. Just do your research before you go in.
Brought my vehicle in for oil change and periodical service and inadvertently picked a busy day. I was issued a loaner X3 and was out in 15 minutes. Everything was completed by the following day and I picked up my vehicle services performed.
Tim Peterson is my service advisor and he is the most pleasant and professional person to work with. He is able to fit you in at the last minute, he consistently provides status updates and ensures that you are comfortable while waiting. I could go other places to get my car serviced but I will continue to go back to Richmond BMW because of the level of service that he provides.

Everything started when I talked to Sales Manager Carl Filter on the phone the day before I drove 130 miles down to Richmond BMW to test drive a vehicle and was assured that the trip would be worth it. Everyone was great and eager to please. Even the part that most people dread, the final paperwork, was a breeze and a lot of fun thanks to Business Manager Anton Kulay. I have to say that the one person more than anybody else that made this experience the best I ever had at an auto dealership was my Client Advisor Mr. Jenish Shah! He went on my test drive and did his best to answer all of my questions and I had a lot. During my visit he had listened to me mentioning that I had been collecting foreign currencies since I was a child and within minutes, he had produced the coolest denomination of an Indian bill that even had a tiger on it. That made my day. He wouldn't take anything for it. I don't know if I've ever met a nicer person. Even a month after I came in and took my car home, he was still responding to other questions that I had and has followed up every one of them. I am not happy how the service manager Mr. Alan had responded to me. I had my passenger side rear reflector light damaged. It was in perfect condition when I had dropped my vehicle there. Only when I reached home, after getting the service done, I noticed the reflector light was damaged. I took the car to the service center again but he responded to me in a worst possible way and asked me lodge a police complaint. Being a regular customer there, I felt that kind of treatment was insane. I even told him that it would be the last time I m visiting that service center again. There is no negative sign for the review, if not I would have given that to Mr. Alan.
They sold me an unsafe used BMW 528i needing more than $5000 of repairs. When I tried to contact them they would not return my calls. Stay away from this dealership unless you want a lemon.
My experience at Richmond BMW was a very pleasant one. Steve Lehner was a fantastic salesman. He is a real gentleman and treated me with respect. He was not pushy and helped me make the right decision. The whole team at Richmond BMW worked well together and everyone from the time you walk in the door is very helpful and pleasant. My first experience with the service department at Richmond BMW/ Crown Automotive was by far the most pleasant experience I ve had an ANY service appoint to date! Paul Taylor made my time there smooth by the professionalism shown, the information shared, and the overall care taken with me as the vehicle owner.
Dennis Morgan and Mike Saulsbury were the best. They both were very diligent in addressing my repair issues. I have gone to many service departments for many makes of vehicles and I can say this visit was incredible and stands out above the rest. I will recommend anyone come to RBMW. I was very fortunate to have these gentlemen. Mike Saulsbury took time to explain the compromised areas of my vehicle and treated it like it was his own. He is very articulate in his mechanical ability. I had alot of anxiety and worry and Mike gave me a comfort level. I will always return for my future repairs.

Local BMW dealership which has recently been remodeled with a very nice service and sales bay. Service department is extremely accommodating, and sales is far from pushy. If you're in the market for a new BMW there's no reason to really look elsewhere.
My experience with the entire team at Richmond BMW was commendable, but Steve Lerner deserves specific written review praise! Steve is a class act within his field. He listened intently to me, was thorough in his explanation of the vehicle/its features and the process as a whole, and made me laugh (high marks for me when dealing with a seemingly stressful situation). Above all, he was respectful and caring. That said, I would highly recommend calling on Steve to assist anyone with the purchase of their next vehicle.
Very pleased with my experience at the repair shop. Paul the advisor and Devon the tech were both great and took time to explain and actually showed me what needed to be repaired on my vehicle. Polite, attentive, efficient, and I believe more reasonable cost than in years past.

Very unhappy with the way our car situation was handled. Not only did they sell the car that I was in process of purchasing but failed to come back with a car that was similar to the one I was initially purchasing. Unprofessional and seriously lost my business.
Recently purchased a Mini Roadster from Anja. From the sales department, financing, and management, the dealership was professional, personal, and helpful. This is our second Mini so we also know the service manager and have had a good relationship with him for the past year and a half.
From the second I contacted Crown BMW about looking for a car, the salesman Nick McNevin was on the case. He found the perfect car for me, and every step of the way worked to help me get the car of my dreams (428i xDrive convertible). Everyone was super courteous and kind and professional. First class dealership. I'd definitely buy my next car from them. This was my first BMW - Toyotas all my life. But man, this car is a driver's dream. You know you bought well when you get up in the middle of the night and go to the garage to look at the car you just bough! Nice car, nice folk, reasonable price. What's not to like?
I purchased a used vehicle advertised as having 7 months of manufacturer's warranty. Once the vehicle was shipped to me on the West coast and encountered engine problems shortly after, I learned Richmond BMW's salesman had misrepresented the status of the vehicle's warranty - it had had expired months before my purchase!
I am liaising with the dealership now. I will update my review in accordance with how quickly and honorably resolve the matter.
I had a really great experience. Everybody was nice and everything went together like it was meant well planned out. I will tell all my friends to make sure and stop by ,so they can have the same great experience and walk away with a nice vehicle .
I recently spent more than $600 at this dealership for new tires and after driving to Georgia with my car pulling to the right the entire way, I went to Gwinnett Place BMW to have my alignment done/checked. Gwinnett Place BMW service manager called this dealership and BMW Richmond told them I would have to drive back (over 400 miles) so they could look at it. The service manager at Gwinnett BMW was appalled at what this dealership told him. Gwinnett BMW said they couldn't let me drive back to Richmond with a car out of alignment; so they did it free of charge for me. In spite of what the service director Mark Dobinson said, the alignment was never done (or done properly) on the new tires installed! The fact that Gwinnett Place BMW stepped up for shoddy work BMW of Richmond did says a lot of this dealership. If there were "-" stars I'd rate this place a -10. I will take my business to BMW Midlothian. Finally.... I did the survey and rated this place a 1 with detailed comments; not to my surprise that no one has reached out to me about my horrible experience.
BMW of Richmond will not get another dime of my money!
I've been to the dealership a couple of times and I cna say that not all service writers are the same. Some are downright rude and ignorant and some make you feel welcomed and relaxed. I worked with Mike Jewel a couple of times at the Service Dept and I can say that he s been the best guy I've come across at the dealership. This guy is brutally honest, down to earth and compassionate. With him there I knew what I was going to get was the truth not their dirty money making schemes. Not only does he possess a very good knowledge of the vehicle, he was also more than happy to share it and go over all the details till I finally got a hang of it.

I went in for an oil change and when I drove home my car notified me that I didn t have any oil. I took it to another BMW dealership and they informed me that oil was not put in my car.

Purchased a pre-owned vehicle , noticed on my way home a crack in the windshield. Notified my sales man the next morning (we left late at night). Sales manager (Tim) insisted it must have happen on my way home and he could do nothing to fix the situation. Very disappointed this was not addressed and fixed.
Dell went above and beyond during my visit for service. While waiting for my vehicle s inspection, he offered me a test drive knowing I was unlikely a buyer that day. He is professional, kind, and presents a genuine caring for the BMW client. He s knowledgeable about performance and eager to share comparisons between models. Above all, he LISTENED to me. Unequivocally recommend.
I got into an accident on May 1st and on May 2nd Richmond BMW posted this car up online. Immediately I called and talked to the receptionist, who was very polite might I add, she let me know that someone would get in contact with me soon.
So thinking soon, I would say maybe later in the day or the next day. BUT WAIT! Jenish contacted me not even 15 minutes after I got off the phone with her! How awesome is that???
So I explained my situation and told them I saw a car I wanted to buy! I didn t even have to walk into the door to look at the car before all the paperwork was done. I got off work and headed straight over, left about an hour later with the most BEAUTIFUL Audi S8 I could ever imagine to buy.
The culture at this store is very family oriented and they really made me feel like I had met them time and time again. The sales manager Dan really helped me out in the long run and was able to get me in and out in the blink of an eye.
Seriously, HUGE SHOUT OUT AND THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED ME OUT. You now have a forever customer!!!

I took my car to Crown BMW AT 7:30am on 3/13 to receive a new valve cover and oil filter housing gasket. What I hoped would be a smooth transaction was not! The service was completely horrible and this has been the worst experience I have had to endure as a consumer. While picking up my car after the service was completed, the shop lost my keys, then found them after 20 minutes of waiting. The service provider did not go over the work I received or the multi-point inspection. I had to walk to my car while the other customers had theirs driven to them. I was so frustrated, but I had to get back to work. He must have felt bad because at about 7pm that night he apologized about the service I received.
I had driven my car no more than 10 miles in total before my coolant warning came on my car, which was not on when I took my car to this service place. When I pulled over to the side of the road, my engine was smoking. I drove my car down the road and left it at the BMW shop where I incurred a $20 Uber in order to get home. I left an urgent voicemail in hopes the service provider could explain what was happening to my car.
The next morning I was hopeful that I would be taken care of, but the horrible service I received continued. They gave me a loaner car and assured me they would figure out what happened to my car. Later that morning I received a call and was told that a hose split and it had nothing to do with the work they had performed on my car (even though the hose split the same day my car was serviced by them). And they wanted to charge me an additional $700 to complete the work and was sure to leave themselves out of the equation of the issue with my car. I would also not that on the report they gave me, they never mentioned any issues about hose in my car, just about some lights and other minimal work. I have never had a single issue with my car and now I feel so horrible and they do not care.
All this place cares about is a dollar and talking fast! I had to ask my service guy to slow down in his explanations. Everything is transnational and they could care less about the customers as long as they can chill out at the service desk.
The first time I came here they charged me for a tire rotation they did not perform. I do not know how this place is still operating. The service department is horrible! Wish there was a manager I could talk to. I will never bring my car here again, and you can bet I will not tell a single person I know to go!
Excellent service! The huge thing was HONESTY! One of the items that I thought that I needed was an alignment. The tech dove my vehicle and had the service advisor Matt call me and tell me that I did not need alignment, saving me considerable money. Thanks!
My experience was very good. As usual Paul Taylor took time to review my car's needs with me and assured that the tires were reinflated and coolant was added while it was being inspected.
Had an issue with a preowned vehicle I purchased and made it aware to my salesperson. The vehicle I purchased should not have passed inspection in the condition I bought it. E-mailed my salesman and he told me he forwarded my concern to the sales manager (Tim). I never received any response. Had to take out the dashboard of my vehicle and fix the problem at my own expense. Br aware!!
Was surprised that I was charged for the state inspection on my BMW. A week earlier I bought in my other BMW and was not charged. If I had know there was a charge, I would have taken the car to my local state inspection station and saved $10.00 on gas.
