Very central, nice rooms, nice staff and good breakfast

This is an old hotel. No aircon in the rooms. When you have a room facing the road/street, it's very loud (especially when oyu have to have the window open for the lack of airconditioning). The gym needs a serious upgrade. Made for pensioners. The restaurant is ok. Service is good, but the food is only OK (and expensive). The breakfast is ok. not fantastic

We ate Christmas lunch here, but it seemed more like a regular lunch buffet with some Christmas supplement. Little time we got too. Still good quality, good-natured.

I went for a breakfast at the breakfast buffet. The food was very good, and they had lots of different food. The only drawback was the 15 minutes que for the espresso bar.

Lovely breakfast with a wide selection !! Good bed, but the room and bathroom were slightly below expectations .. No parking at the hotel.

The well-rated breakfast was the reason why we chose the hotel (this was also delicious, but had breakfasts that were just as good in other hotels). Unfortunately, the rest did not determine: dingy corners, old-fashioned room furnishings and very small room. What bothered us most was the cleanliness of the room.

Very central hotel. Good rooms, good service and very good food, therefore a little high price. Highly recommended despite that!

Always choose to stay at Nidelv because of the wonderful breakfast. Indescribably good!

The rooms are a bit "kipe" little sockets and are a bit "old-fashioned" bad pressure in the shower and generally outdated rhymes and bathrooms.
Very good breakfast, BUT not enough seating. People were sitting at the front desk, at the bar and some even on the floor eating breakfast when we were there. It was a shame for was a lot of good food.

Good hotel with fantastic breakfast. They take care of both small and large. When the junior says that he has eaten Norway's best breakfast and thinks so, it is probably correct

Excellent solution to stay. Modern design and concept, central, clean, courteous staff. The breakfast offers a vast choice of products and solutions, moreover it is possible (as in so many hotels of this country) the breakfast box that is paying a sum around the 7 you can organize you the lunch to lunch, what you want to put it you choose you important it is that it's all in the container they give you! And honestly it's a great solution considering that a sandwich around would cost you even more.

Only eaten lunch here, but for a lunch !! Incredible selection, impossible not to get very saturated. Lovely desserts like icing in one.

Nice stay. Excellent breakfast! Some (understandable) noise due to construction-work at the hotel. Only a short walk to downtown Trondheim. Would definitely recommend it to others!

First room we were assigned had not been cleaned properly, as can be seen in the images below. It was very clearly not done so an error occured somewhere, clearly. We got a new room right away which was thankfully cleaned and ready.

The restaurant in house was fine with a limited but good enough ala carte meny. Main course and dessert were both pretty good.
The breakfast was a bit limited and not to my personal liking.

Some staff were nice and others were less so. Overall a decent stay. If you are bringing a car parking will cost you at least 200kr overnight.

Located on the water front, a stylish Hotel with small rooms but attractive bar, restaurant, conference facilities, and annually selected "Twining Best Breakfast" since 2006.

Had booked a room and had driven a long way. Had been recommended this hotel. Was really disappointed. We found no parking so we contacted reception who could tell me that parking was several blocks away. And we had to pay every 3 hours.

So you have a car and luggage? Steer away!

I always stay at Scandic Nidelven when visiting Trondheim. The location is nice (close to city centre and Solsiden, with many good restaurant options nearby), and rooms are clean and tidy. But what really makes this hotel stand out from the rest is their amazing breakfast.

At the breakfast, they have an overload of fresh, local produce (that changes with season), the selection of food is in general huge (w/vegan & allergy friendly options), the staff is extremely friendly and attentive, and you have chefs in the room preparing omelettes, pancakes, smoothies etc. There's even a barista in a small coffee bar. And everything is *so good*. Not surprised this has been voted Norway's best hotel breakfast for 10+ years now. (I can see why so many local people come here in the mornings to have breakfast.)

Very good hotel! Got the fan and everything right away, due to hot weather. Helpful service unlike the Radisson blue, where it was perfectly fine to serve a room with 27 degrees of heat.
