Nice hotel with rooms of ok size. Fabulous breakfast where embedding is left to chance.

Everything is top except that they are currently rebuilding and there is a lot of noise from half past eight in the morning. Breakfast is by far Norway's best and worth the trip alone! Nice staff and nice clean rooms.

Great hotel with a perfect location in the center of Trondheim and a short distance to everything Trondheim has to offer. The breakfast is one of the best we have tasted, with a wide selection from suppliers in the region.

Pull a star so we can hear the neighbor watching TV through the night.

If your stay is for one night it may pay to park in the street outside, which is free at night.

One of the better Scandics I have visited. Not as nice as Haymarket though. Best breakfast, way above Scandic standard. Nice service. Okay gym. Quite a long and odd walk to your rooms.

By far and large this is the best breakfast buffet I have seen in the world. Rooms are clean and tidy. Very helpful staff. Free WiFi.

Very good breakfast, the problem in all the Scandic hotels are the many windows they have and the dirty they are. This give a bad sensation inside the room

I've stayed in this hotel twice. Once pre-corona where the breakfast was as amazing as everyone had told me.

This prompted us to book this hotel again for a wedding we were supposed to attend in June. However, since corona hit the wedding was delayed. We asked the hotel to cancel, or if not possible, move, our booking. The hotel refused to both of these requests.

Since our flight wasn't cancelled, we thought we might as well go anyway, if not for the wedding, just to enjoy the breakfast.

Unfortunately, the famous breakfast was reduced to some dry bread, store bought pancakes and dull yoghurt.

Despite us booking this hotel for the breakfast in particular, as well as being refused a refund or rebooking, we did not even receive a discount.

I understand buffet breakfasts are not a given with all the corona measures, they could have put in some more effort. I could have made a better breakfast by going to the store and buying some sandwiches there. If not for that, they could have proactively offered customers a discount, as many come here for the breakfast.

Perhaps this is a way for Scandic to recover some of the losses they made during corona?

Giving two stars instead of one, as our first stay was fortunately much better,

Large and comfortable room, fantastic service and the best hotel breakfast I have ever seen. Highly recommended.

The hotel is modern in design, right on the river and quiet. The materials used are high quality, it is exposed in many places art, which, however, does not seem too intrusive. Overall, the hotel is very clean and the rooms (Superior Extra) are very spacious. Except for an in-room safe I did not miss anything, but there are also rooms with a safe.
The staff is friendly and very pleasant unobtrusive.
I have attended a conference and this hotel is well prepared for it. A large number of small and large conference rooms with the associated lounge areas.
As far as a good, modern conference hotel.

Let's come to the excellency:
The food is first class. Mainly local food is served, which are very well prepared. Especially the salmon as a national fish is served in different variations (raw, pickled, smoked, as sushi and different Stremelvarianten) and each one is better than anything I was allowed to try as a salmon friend.

If you are not fascinated by Norway because of the landscape, you should come here for breakfast.
I can recommend a stay here only and unreservedly.

Nice conference rooms and space for several events without it seems particularly ugly. Nice organization and run of lunch buffet in large contexts.

Restaurant & Bar closed due to COVID-19, this could have been informed about when ordering, but okay. Breakfast was supplemented in a bag with the possibility of personalization.
Nice with kettle & fridge in the room.

Best hotel in Trondheim. Perfect position (solsiden) and amazing breakfast (best breakfast in Norway for many years in a row). The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff nice and always helpful. Anbefales!

Rooms without ventilation systems work poorly when sleeping. Outside the window there is lots of noise. The staff did not bother trying to solve the problems.

This hotel has received the award for Best Breakfast 13 times, and no wonder! I was amazed at the level of quality and the selection of their foods. Fresh, local and clean food.
The hotel in itself is clean and nice, and has a nice bar at the entrance. Close to "Solsiden", a shopping area, and the city centre which isjust a few minutes away on foot.

Excellent location, kindly staff, amazing breakfast. Within the restaurant there is a cafe bar that is open only during breakfast and man can get an delicious espresso or even hand brewed coffee.

Breakfast was perfect, perssonnell was really nice. Hotellroom was way too hot to sleep properly.

Nice Hotel, but very loud air condition! It`s nearly impossible to fall asleep without earplugs.

The food at scandic nidelven is always fantastic. Unfortunately, the lunch buffet in the restaurant does not have enough capacity for large conferences, and you stay in chaotic queues without the possibility to get an overview of all the delicious food.

They have a great location, the food is fresh and delicious, the waiters are very kind and helpful, suggested for a delicious lunch close to the center of the city

Brautiful rooms, especially the conferance rooms. The service was as expected, but the real treat was the breakfeast. I don't know if it still holds up today, but last time I was there it was a great time.
