A modern hotel in a great location. Food unfortunately undiskutabel and what you call elsewhere service, left to chance.

Breakfast only:

Had lunch-date with lady there on a Monday. Ordered a table two days before and got a table by the window. Great food, drinks and service. Dice throw six!

Good and very professional staff. The best thing about a night at Rica is that they let you get ready if they go for half an hour so I will not be drawn 300 kr from the card. Because of sleeping. Everyone has done it once. Its natural. Nice hotel with minibar if you want a small chocolate on the bed.

But the floor had to be properly heated in the bathroom. So I dare to leave the shower and dry my naked without dying from the cold. You

May well understand that they have won the best breakfast buffet, because it will take several days to digest. Colombia coffee beans and table after table with waffles, pancakes, bread, ham. Freshly squeezed juices. A bit of an experience !!

The location is very central and minutes from the busses driving to the airport. The breakfast, as expected, was truly amazing. We had a great view of the water and city from the breakfast table. Sadly, this was not the case for our hotel room, as our view was of a relatively trafficated road. The noise from the road, as well as the fact they our room was right next to the elevator, made a pretty noisy night. Other than this bad luck, we greatly enjoyed our stay.

Well-deserved award mtp. Norway's best hotel breakfast. Should be tried again and again.

Paid for the Superior Extra room, got room #441 At entry the room was very warm, it was a normal day outside and it felt like 30C+ inside, had to open all windows and turn all heat off to make it doable (there's no AC), after this we More

Stayed for a long time. Resolves the corona crisis in an excellent way.

When I walked into the hotel room, the air was heavy and enclosed, with a smell that had a resemblance to an old and humid apartment kind of. I wanted to turn on the AC to get some air flowing, but no! No options for controlling the AC. The air was absolutely horrible. I tried to open the window, but there was zero draft, and too much noise filled the room through open windows. I could not sleep good because of the air, and the temperature was too high, so I woke up several times because of the air / temperature. This made me exhausted the following day. Through the walls I could also hear the noise of drunk people talking and laughing in the middle of the night.

In the evening I wanted something to eat, so I tried to call room service. They replied that they cancelled room service for today because of a Jazz party (!). So ok! That was the hotel priority ? They told me to go downstairs in the bar, where they could offer a "wiener sausage" in bread. I went downstairs, and the staff seemed in general tired and not wanting to answer questions about food options. It turned out that the wiener sausage was exactly like the one you buy in the convenience store / bring on camping trips, it was just very overpriced. The jazz party made the hotel filled with drunk people everywhere, like a full on party.

However, I ended up looking for a restaurant nearby, and I ate there instead. Then I could order something else, and I could relax in a calmer atmosphere.

Ok, the bathroom. The shower had low water pressure and congested water flow. The shampoo dispenser / bottle was broken. Fortunately, I had a bottle of shampoo in my bag. Besides that it was fine.

The breakfast was mediocre, crowded and noisy.

All in all I have to give one star, because the the price tag per night for staying in there is very high, far above average, and the stay felt more like a series of obstacles.

The worst part is that I ended up not feel rested, because I could not sleep. That kind of defeats the purpose of a hotel. I am not going back.

Gorgeous hotel with river views, ideally located in the heart of Trondheim, next to restaurants, cafes, all the city's landmarks and within walking distance from the bus station where you can catch the Fly Bus to the airport every 15 minutes. There are bikes for hire just outside the hotel. The best part of our stay was the super five star, award-winning breakfast provided by the hotel!! Excellent customer service too!! Would not hesitate to book into this hotel again.

Nice rooms, but dim lighting. Kind of impossible to do the makeup in this light. The breakfast is nice but could do with a larger table for bread. It is always a cue and in the morning that is not a good thing.

Here, an attempt has been made to make Caesar salad with cooked bacon without much success, but after 3 years at cooking school, it may be a bit much to expect.

The rooms have no thermostat so it gets uncomfortably hot. The cleanliness is poor.
The toilet was clearly used in the room I was given.
The location is nice, but that's it.

Breakfast is something out of this world, just make sure you come early, so you'd have enough time to sample everything. Very local, yet creative, the selection of smoothie shots is very innovative and works perfectly as a beverage to have with your breakfast. at 450 Kr, I'd say it totally worth the experice.

The rooms were clean and tidy. Unfortunately got a room without a working TV but was informed about this in advance and received compensation. Stylish bar and restaurant. Good and unique drinks.

The breakfast is as expected fantastic. The selection and quality are top notch. Large selection of gluten-free food, own barista and juice and smoothie bar.

Great hotel, nice atmosphere, great rooms and not least a fantastic breakfast offer.

This was a destination in itself in the past. Now we were greeted by annoyed staff. Coronary arteries create limitations, but this was not even an attempt to maintain the standard of breakfast. For the price, it is recommended longer as it is now

Enjoy a nice stay! Everything was just great and it is not unfounded they have won "Norway's best breakfast" for the 12th time! There were three different kinds of waffles! Had two conference days here and two nights in the nicest room overlooking the water. Good conference facilities and super catering. Well yes and absolutely great location in relation to the airport bus and some sightseeing.

Food was superb, and the venue was nice, the waiters was nice.

Service, location. But the house economist should go better after cleaning the rooms. Maybe they have too much to do and do not have time to remove all the dorm rabbits? But what about Internal Control?
Caretaker should check if there are faults and defects: light bulbs that do not work, toilet roll holder that hangs and throws on the wall. Refrigerators that do not work, yes at all check weekly at least, everything that people use on a daily basis.
REMOVE the horrible wall-to-wall carpets that are dust bombs from the weather.
But apart from all the negatives, we thrive in the atmosphere the employees create.

Great hotel with decent rooms and fine service!
The art which is on exposition is really great and wifi and all works fine! In all my years of hotels I have never ever experienced a breakfast and lunch like this one! Fresh salmon, fruit juices & smoothies, coffeebar and delicious bread or crackers? Anything and all delicious! Very suitable for conferences!

Okay hotel. Fantastic breakfast. Polite staff. Only negative is that they can be faster to clear the tables in the bar (let me know)
