Nice room and very good breakfast. Clean and tidy hotel.

After checking the feedback from other clients, I have decided to reserve a room at scandic Nidelva in Trondheim trusting would be a good choice. Upon arrival, and trying to check in at the stipulated time by the hotel, was informed that the room wasent ready and that was necessary wait, not saying for how long. I sat in the lobby for more 20mim until going to ask for a situation point, without success, again was told to wait (10min this time) in the lobby thay someone would tell me when the room would be ready. After more 20 mim I went to the check-in desk and for my surprise the room was ready and nobody came to inform. When arrived to the room for my totally surprise, the room had one window facing... The entrance lobby! For the first i was in a hotel room without window for the exterior. The noise from the lobby made impossible to rest and everyone there could see to the room, absolutely unacceptable! I payed for what I thought would be a nice and comfortable hotel room (far from cheap) but ended up far from that! When asked for a changing of room, was told there were no other rooms available! I'm still wondering how is possible have a hotel room without window to the exterior! Scandic hotel? Only if you want a room were you don't feel comfortable and can't rest.

This is a lovely hotel in a very convenient location to the train station. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. We were at the hotel on Christmas eve and Christmas day so we had the traditional Christmas eve spread which was very good. Be aware that most everything is closed at this time. The hotel also has a workout space with plenty of exercise options.

Great food, short distance to downtown and nightlife, rooms were of a good standard. Slightly slippery to lie right on the main road due to noise.

Top hotel located in the middle of the city, by the river bank, with "everything" within walking distance. Rooms are generally nice amd inexpensive, the breakfast they serve was voted the best that Norwegian hotels has to offer in 2017. I can personally agree to that, staying there this week.

I've been here for a Business Meeting but can highly recommend a stay here also if you are on holiday. The Hotel and its Rooms are great. But what I have to recommend more is the food, that was outstandingly good, rich and delicious. Great place to stay!

Skilled conference hosts. Slightly noisy common rooms. Quiet bedroom. Lovely food, really fun breakfast, wonderful lunch buffet and lovely dinner. Miserable on vegetarian food

Excellent breakfast. They have a barrista making any kind of coffee you want. One of the best breakfast experiences i have ever had. There is also staff making american pancakes, smoothies, porridge.

The staff also noticed we needed a baby chair and brought one to our table without us having to request it ourselves. Very friendly and professional.

The view from my room at Scandic Nidelven was beautiful, facing the city and the boats tied to shore. The rooms were spacious, well furnished and comfortable. I especially remember the bed, which had the smoothest sheets I've ever used. One of the main reasons we stayed there was because of their excellent complimentary breakfast. There was so much to choose from, and being a picky eater myself I usually don't look forward to hotel meals, but this was different. I would stay there again for their food alone.

The hotel is modern and clean. The rooms have new furniture and are clean. The breakfast is top notch and the staff are pleasant and accommodating.

The room was nice and spacious. However it lacked the advertised bathrobes and the room had a few spots of dirt here and there The breakfast buffet was excellent. Superb selection and friendly staff

This place was a total mess. They had a renovation going on, so everytime I wanted to go to reception, I had to find my way through a maze. Do you really not expect to have any guest who does not read norwegian?

I stayed at Scandic Lerkendal for 10 days and then in Nidelven for 2 days. The service of Lerkendal was much better.

Manage you expectations... There is a huge difference of what you room can get for 1500NOK/150 per night.

Got a room the 1st night in the northern part of the hotel, room 170. There is a crossing/bridge of a 4lane motorway underneath and a 2lane motorway above plus a nearby railway line. That made it impossible to sleep. Incredible noise and vibrations from the passing freight trains. More or less all the room in the northern part of the hotel have to deal with this... Rooms 170-177, 270-277,..., 570-577.

Nice reception desk staff made it possible to get us a swap (without been charged extra) for the 2nd night. Way better room, felt much more comfortable. Limited amount of noise from the 4Iane motorway and railroad. Aircon for bath and room couldn't be regulated and therefore a bit noisy.

A modern hotel with nice rooms. The breakfast is a highlight. During our stay the hotel was so full that unfortunately it was pretty hectic at breakfast.

Scandic har been awarded for the best breakfast in Norway. And it is certainly is.

Friendly and professional staff. Very good lunch with lot of variety, excellent hand made coffee, decent conference coffee. Ok rooms. During the conference some of the microphones lost connection for about 20 seconds every half hour, but otherwise a decent conference experience. Very good location by the center of the town.

The conference area was great and the staff where fantastic. The food was divine.

I was only in the public areas of the hotel until the start of Trondheim -Oslo during the day. cool things go, the lobby full of bicycles. The hotel guests were just as nice and friendly and cool as the staff. Chapeau!
