Standard Scandic in rooms.

But the breakfast top notch ...

Very good hotel with a very good breakfast. Unfortunately, the search for a parking space is not so exciting and quite expensive.

The hotel gets 5 stars because of the breakfast which is absolutely fantastic.

Central, nice staff, lovely location overlooking Nidelven. There could well have been slightly better lighting in the room.

Was here for a Christmas party, it was an uphill from last year that was very disappointed, hoping it lasts, as it has become a tradition, that the extended family of about 30pers gather some on ove night and some come for breakfast.

Best lobster fish I've eaten at a restaurant in Trondheim.

We arrived at 2pm check in is at 3pm

It is 15:55 and we will not get in the room! We're going to the Gran Prix tune at 6pm!

So this is too bad simply

The room was clean and nice, but without air conditioning it was in the warmest made in the month of July. There was also poor sound insulation from the outside, so music from Solsiden kept us awake until late at night.

The breakfast buffet was divided into pools so not too many people would eat at the same time, but it simply did not work. No one checked the guests' "ticket" and the crowds in the buffet between 9 and 10 were directly unpleasant. No check / warnings from the hotel side to track. If one person there had covid-19 everyone has it now, so to speak. Profit before infection control.

Best place in terms of noise. Here it was possible to talk to people around the table. Although full, there was no annoying background noise.
Lovely food and great selection. A minus for just one cake for me which, due to Krohn, can not tolerate milk products. Everyone was thoroughly served with dessert and cakes. I pay the same as everyone else.

Bought two gift cards for breakfast as a gift from you almost 1 year ago. The person who received this has tried to book a table all the 5 times she has been to Trondheim and has always been told that it was full. Tried to book on her behalf today and am told that all weekends until the New Year are fully booked, even when I presented the problem there was zero will to solve this - ie gift vouchers bought at this hotel are worthless!

Good hotel in a nice and central location. Some rooms face straight onto a very busy road. Amazing breakfast experience.

We all know the breakfast. But the bartenders are pretty cool.

Decent hotel and probably the best breakfast in Norway!

Centrally located in Trondheim with walking distance to downtown Trondheim. Airport bus stop close to the hotel.

Polite and friendly staff all over. Excellent service at check in!

Room (no 536): average size - nothing fancy. The Bathroom was small but did the job. The bed was extremely comfortable.

- and as I wrote in my previous review after last visit: The breakfast is totally amazing. I also want to commend the servers in the breakfast section who were very proactive in refilling coffee and serving delightful chocolate pieces when I was almost done with my meal.

After all a recommended hotel and I would stay here again!

Great hotel and a truly exceptional breakfast!

The hotel is comfortable, clean and well situated in Trondheim. The welcome was very warm and we were pleased with our room which had plenty of sun light in the morning and a nice view of Nidelva river (see attached photos). The room was clean and modern with an excellent bed.

The hotel is well positioned for the airport bus and there's a short walk into town.

And as nearly everybody else have mention the breakfast is unbelievable!

Highly recommended hotel in Trondheim!

Lovely breakfast, but the rooms were in the offing.

OK hotel, with brilliant breakfast. If you want to postpone something at breakfast, it is difficult to decide ... Take a look at the highway and train tracks. Close up to five stars.

Very good breakfast and good location on the Nidelven river

The city's best location - right by the (uti) river. In addition, they have Trondheim's clearly the best hotel breakfast!

Large and great hotel in central Trondheim. Nice view towards Nidelven in the evening. Excellent breakfast they are known for! Something troublesome wear we had in the room this time.

Norway's best breakfast? Well, at least Norway's largest. The size gives a little canteen feeling, but the food is good. The rooms are below average. The water flows over the floor when you shower, the hot water comes and goes, there are no irons in the rooms and the hotel carries a few years on the back. During medium experience, but the breakfast and location pulls up.

Great rooms, amazing breakfast! One minus is that it is a distance to the nearest parking.

Fast receptionists who know customer service! Helps with whatever may be and offers by itself.

The breakfast was incredibly good!
The wait staff was incredibly good and left them alone and did not clear the tables until they had left, the selection of toppings was large and it seemed fresh!

The beds were wonderfully good and not least there was a pleasant color and atmosphere in the room.

Great hotel with fantastic food and very nice staff

I have been here one time. Breakfast was great, and so was the staff. Nice rooms and beds too. Nothing negative to say other than that it is pricey.

Very good location. Central and next to water. Excellent food. Comfortable inside. We are using it for meetings a lot.

This hotel has been awarded the best breakfast hotel for the last twelve years, but to me this hotel is much more worthy the stay because of all the amazing Gullvaag paintings that is possibly next to nothing of the Norwegian contemporary arts

Great hotel! The room did not live up to my expectations. I am staff and have traveled far and was not impressed. Otherwise very good service!

Good hotel in good location. A little warm in the room at night, otherwise nothing to say on room standard. When advertising with "Norway's best hotel breakfast", the expectations are then, and one can more easily be disappointed with the little things: Stayed at the hotel for a week, and the first two days did not come scrambled eggs, pancakes and a few other things on the tables before breakfast had been for almost an hour ... The butter was rock hard every day. Little things of course, but if you boast of being the best, the details must also be in place! :) Anyway can recommend staying here

Had to change rooms due to poor cleaning (hair and stains in the bathroom!). Got a room with a small window facing a wall. No sunlight gets into the room, and there is no ceiling light here. The floor lamp does not work. Ergo it is dark in the room. Please note that the rooms are not air conditioned either. On the walls there are suspicious spots, and there are visible screws where it has most likely hung a picture before. I asked to change rooms, but was told there are many to check in tomorrow. On their website I find many free rooms here ... In other words, I am not very impressed so far.

Nice rooms and good breakfast. Nice location. The shower had very bad pressure. The breakfast was not as spectacular as they advertise. They were now allowed to serve breakfast buffet again (due to Corona), but omitted some serving offers such as. juice bar and barista.

Unbeatable breakfast and very nice service. Here you can only come to enjoy breakfast, together friends and perhaps the view of the river? Short distance from the city center and all of Trondheim's relevant facilities. Enjoy.

Norway's best breakfast hotel for a number of years

Nice and clean rooms,which can be a little louder if you have view too the street or the train station but - promised! - the best breakfast you will ever have eaten.

Highly recommended! Nidelven Hotel has nice rooms and lobby with artistic paintings. The hotel is perhaps best known for is the breakfast that will be the best breakfast you have ever tasted, but the food that suits everyone, such as fresh jucis, for pancakes and freshly prepared dishes. The hotel is also right in the heart of fantastic Trondheim and nice views of the pupil.

Very good breakfast with great variety of food and drinks. It gives a very good impression that someone is standing in the serving and making coffee and frying pancakes. The service is nice and seems to be concerned with doing a good job and giving a good impression of their workplace. This applies to all employees I met. The quality of the room goes down. The floor has large cracks / open spaces in the parquet (if it is parquet). The cleanliness could have been a little better, but here it is about seeing things while I get the time to go under the toothbrush, as much dust on the doorstep and "dust tissue" on the ceiling.
