So upset about my purchase. I bought hot water tank from Rheem company through Home Depot Canada for almost three weeks ago. The tank has a problem and we do not have hot water. We can't even take a shower... Realty poor customer service. I do not suggesting this company to anyone..

6 month old Rheem marathon tank ruptured and flooded my basement causing extensive damage. Was told by contractor the rubber bladders in the tank are a known issue. AVOID THESE TANKS AT ALL COST. performance is extremely poor as well compared to old metal 40 gal tank.

Tankless water heater working poorly, called tech support, they ran me through some tests and told me I needed 2 parts. Called Rheem to inquire about these parts, they were of no help, and would only tell me to go to Home Depot, that they can't deal with customers directly, Home Depot was of no help either, this heater is 4 1/2 years old. Bought a replacement Rheem hot water tank, never opened it, returned it. I'll never buy another Rheem product.

I resently bought a 50 gallon power vent from Home Depot. Worked fine for 2 months. Now has a problem with the flammable vapor sensor.
After spending TWO hours on the phone with rheem they tell me they do not cover the sensor under warranty. It s a $50 part. Now my family of 4 sits in a house on the middle of winter with no hot water. Thanks rheem for the wonderful customer service. I will be returning this hot water tank to Home Depot. I strongly recommend not to do any Business with rheem.

Rheem Canada proved to me that they are 100% committed to quality customer service and stand behind their water heaters. After just 26 months into a 12 year warranty, my Platinum heater stopped working. The local service/installer worked hard to figure it out but after two tries and 10 days without hot water it still wasn't fixed. Rheem Canada were easy to contact on the phone, responded quickly to my problem, and delivered replacement parts really fast. When nothing could be done to fix the tank, they replaced it at no charge. Kudos to Rheem for empowering Rene in warranty service to ensure I was completely satisfied.

Their Ruud brand Furnace and A/C is unmatched in regards to quality, value ease of use and service. Some distributors of the product offer additional training to their dealers as well as their own tech support if ever needed.

One star is being nice when it comes to this company! Bought a new furnace and A/C in April it never worked went all summer no Ac now October no heat. They won t return phone calls and their warranty is apparently non existent. DONT buy from this company products are horrible and customer service is even worse!

Great company!!! I repair furnace, ac's and tankless units regularly through a rental company I subcontract for and I'm always satisfied with how quick they are on getting me the parts needed to have our customers up and running again.

Really look forward to becoming a dealer of my own with this Canadian company in the near future.

Our crew at Black Iron Heating And Cooling has been to the Rheem learning center 6 times now, with another session booked at the end of the month. A wonderful facility with an excellent classroom and the cleanest, most well appointed lab you can imagine. Great take home study and reference material along with interactive learning. Most importantly they have ramped up the hands on learning portion as well. The instructors; Ron V, Mike L, and Richard R. are all former tradesmen with a wealth of knowledge about the Rheem products and all things HVAC related. All very approachable and their goal is to make sure you leave feeling confident. They re always willing to answer questions and encourage group learning. Always a worthwhile trip and would highly recommend attending one or many of these courses.

Horrible products filled with bugs. Read reviews about their iPhone app before you buy. Then try controlling your AC when it registers your house in C while limiting you to 0-9 F as your cooling level. This company is a joke.

I bought a new water heater which wasn t working after 1 month, because one part was out of working.
I called rheem canada and someone who named ( Marianne) listened to me carefully and guided me and then she promised me send the part in two business day and exactly on time , I could get the part.
She was really helpful and nice,

I have a Rheem 266,000 BTU (PM266A) pool heater. Lasted me 2.5 seasons and has now completely corroded through despite regular maintenance. I am happy to report that Rheem is replacing the heater for me. Although it took some time, they did stand behind their product.

Got abrand new water heater and it didnt work. contacted Rheem and they said they had to send a technician to take a look. They said they would call within 24 hours to schedule an appointment it has been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting for the call. Returned it to the store.
DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS unless you want problems, stress and headaches.

I will give zero star for a Rheem company
Reasons:
1.after 5 months of purchasing water heater finally its not heating the water at all.
2.Very poor customer service 1.5 hrs in the phone and they keep me transfering to other department
3.its been 3 days no hot water in our house their service and action with the problem to fix is very slow.
4.Received email from rheem telling sorry we dont have available contractor in your area.you can hire licence tech to fix and we will pay the cost up to $125 what a nice reason and option of their contract to us, after all they will let us do ourselve not Rheem.

We are very disapointed with the quality of tjeir product and their seevice.
I strongly not to recommend to buy any rheem product and to make bissiness with this company.
I am now planing to seek help from ministry of consumer and Better Bussiness Bureu.

They were not very helpful and keep on passing the convo to a different representative when you ask them for the warranty. Just got mine a few days and when the guy installed it, it was leaking. I went right away to the store where I got it and they told me to contact Rheem warranty. When I contacted Rheem warranty they cant issue an RGA so what I did is bought a new just to compare and it works fine. the other one I got was a waste of money and no one can help me to satisfy my dissapointment to them. Will not recommend Rheem product. Especially the warranty that thir talking about is a SCAM! Will not replace nor refund when there is a problem

Switched from Rinnai to Rheem. The Rinnai unit would cause a cold water sandwich effect - phenomenon where the water from the heater is warm for first few minutes, then there is a burst of cold water, and then the water slowly returns to being warm again. The Rheem unit is consistently the same temperature. This might seem minuscule, but it matters when you least expect it, especially when trying to get ready for your day at 6 AM.

Will never buy another water heater from them again. Ours broke done after a few years over the Xmas holidays and covid lockdown. You figure with such a big company some staff would be working from home. Well when a product of theirs breakdowns you have to call them first before calling the store where you bought it. In this case it was from Home Depot. Not one person was answering the phone at the Rheem. Home Depot said they would refund me the cost of the water heater but had to talk to Rheem first. I had to pay out of my pocket for a new water heater and install. We went for a different product this time. Well now that the business is open, Home Depot, along with Rheem are giving us a hard time for a refund. They want our receipt. Paid by deBit and even showed my back statement. Rheem wants the model # of our new model. No one is owing up to faulty water heater. Home Depot you would think being bigger than Rheem would have a system that can track bills back a few years. Other big box stores can find bills a few years back but Home Depot can t?!

Worst customer service! We had to FIGHT for Rheem to recognize that it was their heat pumps that were the problem and not the installation and then they wouldn't recognize the warranty. There were so many 1-800 numbers to call and every time we actually reached a human, we were told that we called the wrong department, despite being told by the previous department that the next person we spoke to would be "the one". While they did end up conceding and are sending 2 brand new units, that was 3 months ago. We have yet to see those units and we continue to get the runaround when we contact them asking for an ETA.

It's always a pleasure dealing with the Rheem Canada Team. I love the online tools they provide. It's really easy to find a professional contractor from the website and the warranty verification tool really easy to use.

My two favorite products from Rheem are the ProTerra Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater and the Prestige Condensing Tankless.

My one year old Rheem water heater has a design flaw. The flammable vapour sensor (Honeywell OEM) has activated multiple times. It was explained to me by an OEM tech rep that "any" vapours will activate this sensor. A new sensor must be installed and a code entered to reset the control. This put me out of pocket fixing a new water heater. It was not exposed to vapours especially flammable vapours. DO NOT BUY A RHEEM. What a waste of money.
I see a comment from a customer who is bragging he has done Zero Maintenance on his Rheem furnace in five years. What a dangerous comment!

Purchased NEW unit through a marketing company on Ebay. Verified with Rheem the Serial number had never been registered. Installed unit and just in five years the heat exchanger has failed within the parameters of the 12 year warranty. I have gone back and forth with this company and realized they do not stand behind their products over technicalities. In checking out their Reviews on "consumer affairs" you will note they have backed out of warranty numerous times.
The business that sold me the tank and the Stainless vent kit, they call it a third party vendor! I have the receipt the vendor wants to help and the Rheem company said they are out of the picture! Its between me and the vendor! Plain and utter NONSENSE to hear from a manufacturer hiding behind these technicalities.

Any store selling products are not liable for the warranty...the manufacturer is! upon a customer producing a receipt. CONCLUSION: RHEEM HAS NO ETHICS, INTEGRITY AND ANY CUSTOMER CARE OR ORIENTATION! LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE>>>WHY WOULD YOU BUY THERE PRODUCT AFTER READING THIS REVIEW! Costco removed Rheem from their store web site. That should tell you something!

Do not buy a Rheem product - they will not stand behind it! It's difficult to get in touch with customer service and when you do, they do not assist. Their warranty states 10 years on parts, but they do not cover the installation of the part when it fails ahead of its warranty time. Very disappointed, especially given the significant cost investment when purchasing a furnace or central air conditioning unit.

Should of read the reviews before buying this. Called and ordered a part under warranty. They said it was being shipped in the aftertnoon. Called today after reading reviews to make sure it was shipped and sure enough there is no record of it. Talked to warranty department again and was told that I do not know what I am taking about. I don't need the part that I need. They needed to see photos and it was likely not going to be covered. Day two without hot water. The temperature here last night was 5degrees celcius. No parts available locally or in Canada. Not sure why a big store like home depot would even sell this junk.

Called to enquire about an a/c cover for our new rheem a/c..Phone was answered by a rude guy who just said "yeah" instead of good morning or..... Asked about a cover he was very curt and told me they don't sell from there.Asked if he could maybe recommend a place,he just said no they don't do that.
