I'd give it 5 stars but the waitress wasnt very nice. She told us to check out the basement pub which we did then got an attitude and never came back to our table, we had to ask another waitress for our tab and this was my bday lunch. Quiche was great and so was the Turkey Reuben, husband loved the tea selection.

The food and tea was delicious! While the server was nice she was a bit slow too get some things l like sugar and rolls. This was my first time going with a friend so I certainly wouldn't have known there were told if I didn't go with her. If definitely go back though, it's a cute, quaint place. It's work a visit! Next time I'll go for afternoon tea.
One of the most delightful spots for happy hour in Annapolis, is the outdoor courtyard at Reynolds Tavern. Service on a couple of occassions was a little slow when they were busy, but we weren't rushed so it wasn't an issue for us. So if you go here, you should do it when you have time to savour your food and enjoy the charming setting.
Located on Church Circle adjacent to West St, great location in downtown Annapolis. Patio is perfect spot for a drink and dinner, especially with a light breeze on a Spring evening. Staff is friendly and attentive, will come again soon.
Have a drink with George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Ben Franklin in the basement of one of the oldest inns offering three rooms. Tea room on the street level treats the senses as well. Must see while in Annapolis MD!
I went for Burger night (Wednesday) and everything was fantastic. Great beer, great food, great musician playing at a reasonable volume, and good prices. Couldn't have been a much better experience.
I went here for high afternoon tea. It was a lovely experience. The food was good the service was good and the tea was delicious. I enjoyed the visit all around.
Everything here is awesome. We've come for afternoon tea service, and single pots of tea with appetizers. The food is delicious. Highly recommend Monks blend tea, the Sweet Jane tea, the baked brie, and cream of crab soup.
We always go for afternoon tea whenever my girlfriends are in town. It's become a tradition for us. We live the seasonal tea selection and the finger food is wonderful.
Friendly staff and very cool space. Not the most exciting menu or food, but you know what you are getting at historic pubs. This is one of the better kitchy historic restaurants that I've been.
The outside dining area was clean and comfortable. The food was outstanding! Vegetable quesadilla and goat cheese salad are recommended. Wish I had saved room for dessert! If you have a chance, definitely eat here!
Stopped in for a pint in the basement pub. Nice selection for such a small place. I had the XXX Stout from Trinidad, my wife had a tawny port. We walked on refreshed and pleased.
Loved this place!! So yummy. With the visit. This place is very interesting & totally worth the visit. Built in 1747. We had English Tea Service which was amazing. Perfect after the amazing meal we had.
Took our mom there for a belated celebration. She enjoyed it. Bo, our waitstaff person was tremendous in explaining the menu. We chose The Colonial Tea which was really a fine choice for mom as she likes small plates of food and she enjoys teas. The Apple Tea she chose was flavorful. The brown sugar lumps took a minute or two to get used to but it was a part of the treat. Our thirteen year old niece found it "different" but very enjoyable. She will try it again which says a lot for a young person. We had the Cream of Crab. I had the Shrimp with Bacon soup which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was very flavorful and the vegetables were plentiful. Everyone in my group of four enjoyed their meal; we will do it again. The Reynolds atmosphere is great way of stepping back in time and the atmosphere was very relaxing.
My husband and I went there today and we were rather disappointed. The tavern itself is quaint and on the cozy side which is nice. He took the sweet tea service and I took the savory one. The tea selections themselves were varied and interesting, but the food, when brought out, was under par. We were expecting the treats to be brought out on a tiered stand (I was particularly excited by this prospect) like other people's, but they were brought out on plates that were placed in front of us. What's the point of the British-like tea service if you don't make it fancy with the tiered stands? Total disappointment when we were looking for a feeling of "je ne sais quoi". We ended feeling that the whole service was overpriced. We also ordered the crab cake sandwich and the apple sandwich (can't remember the name) which were not appetizing (especially for what we paid for them) and the fries that came with them were soggy and felt liked they had been sitting out for a bit before being served.
On the whole, if you are looking for a nice tea service for the experience it's not bad. Depending on the tea service you are ordering, be sure to ask for it to be served in a tiered stand because it may not be brought out like that and it really takes away from the service. Food is passable, but overpriced. Also, don't dress way too casual as there is a tea service dress code worn by the customers though not necessarily enforced by the tavern management.
Update: Went here again per friends request. After last time when they had to bring our meals back to us three times before they got them correct I didn't think it could be bad again. Well food was undercooked and cold upon arrival... Figures. Avoid this place.
The outdoor Cafe is open and inviting with classic rock music. The menu items are light and delicious. The staff members are friendly and efficient. A definite Annapolis place to visit.
Had a lovely tea here. I chose the Colonial High Tea, and it was more than I could eat. The quiche and scone were both excellent. The Chai tea was not a spiced as I prefer, but that's a matter of taste. Service was friendly. I would return.
An epic historical spot and must visit for anyone wanting to hang out exactly where George Washington and our founding fathers spent a great deal of their time.
Friendly staff and good selections of beverages or food.
This is about their outdoor patio area. I love it. They allow dogs and have a cute patio. Their service is pretty good. Food is mediocre. I go for the atmosphere.
Went for a tea service. The cream if crab soup was excellent! Choice of tea was very good as were the scones, tea sandwiches and sweets. The building is quaint and periodic. Staff was nice. An enjoyable time. Am returning to have dinner later in the week.
Great place, great location for historical buildings and great food. Went during Maryland day and was great crowd, great atmosphere with lots to look at. Friendly staff and good food!
My husband and I like to go here for their Tea Spreads. Theirs of goodies on a beautiful display that are fun and delicious. The atmosphere takes you back to a different time.
Great historic basement pub with a very small, but respectable selection of rotating draft beers. Their outside area in the summer is very nice and in a great place to just relax and enjoy a summer day or even night.
Down in the pub it's a very colonial atmosphere but with some great beer. And other spirits, of course. Wish the TVs were gone but oh, well. Staff is great.
Is is a review of 1747 pub downstairs. Great vibe, friendly service, and I love the casual colonial digs. The drinks are good and the beer list long. The charcuterie is surprisingly delicious and exactly the right size for two people to nibble on while they have a drink. Plus George Washington drank here
We had an impromptu visit to the 1747 pub at Reynolds Tavern. Our party of 5 was seated after a brief wait. We were served by Rian. We ordered drinks, appetizers and entrees. Our food was outstanding, the service was very good and the atmosphere quite pleasant. We had a lovely time and highly recommend.
I go for the colonial high tea at reynolds tavern a couple times a year. The tea selection is great. The atmosphere is delightful. The service is usually great but was only just about average at my last visit (no refills on water, mistakes about menu items, etc)
Decided for something a bit more unique then a chain hotel. The rooms here are spacious, very clean, and loaded with character. Like you walked back into the 1700's with modern amenities. Huge Bed with silky bedding that left you feeling like you slept on a cloud, spacious seating area, an updated bathroom that is lined with new fixtures and marble that had probably the best shower Ive ever had. The downstairs restaurant was fantastic. food and service were perfect, ambience, with live music and a beautiful outdoor seating area. heart of Annapolis like 1 block or so to the main area of shops. LOVED IT
Just had the fries and wings. Fries were great. Wings were small, dry, broken bones. Sauces were ok. Not sure how I feel about a $5 can of Miller Lite but still one of the best patios in Annapolis.
We had a lovely afternoon tea here. It's a historic building and the menu had the full history, which was nice to be able to read. Tea selection is outstanding, and the high tea trays had a beautiful and tasty assortment of sweet and savory things. Scones were good but not amazing. Service was a little slow, but they were admittedly busy.
We sat outside and had a drink and appetizer. The waiter was not friendly at all, he barely greeted us and asked us what we wanted right away without a "welcome to 1747" or whatever. The place smells like a porta potty. We couldn't figure out whether it was the bathrooms nearby or just Annapolis in general. We ended up leaving because it just wasn't working for us. No point in hanging out at smelly place with an unfriendly waiter.
Some friends and I sat outside and while there wasn't a tabe large enough for our group the staff was very accommodating and let us sit together anyway. Service was very polite and timely. I never had to wait for more than a minute or two before I was asked if I wanted another drink. Happy hour was a nice deal and to my surprise also available on Sundays.
Love eating here and I got married here. It was pretty awesome but they def should inform staff of all their prices and what not. Lucky for us we werent charged for their mistake but it was a pleasent experiance.
Service was good, music was excellent, and the outdoor deck was great. Food was okay - baked brie appetizer was good, but dinner was just okay. Not sure if we'll be back.
