Excellent, friendly, and fast service. Delicious food!
Excellent, friendly, and fast service. Delicious food!
Delicious!! Pear Fruit Explosion... ( I think lol) Great service, Great Food!!
Wasn't too please with the service. Not one drink refill until we asked at the end of the meal. Only one touchbase by the waitress after the food was delivered. My wife has been going here since she was a kid and I've been her twice. Once we when were dating and this most recent time. Neither would warrant a return visit. Now if you are buy alcohol it's a great store for that. Huge selection and knowledgeable staff.
Always has great food. With a rustic/ formal setting
Stanley was our server, he was wonderful and the food was great. I hope when I return to Maryland, I will visit Rips again.
Very nice place. Good food and service in a cozy rustic environment. The fried chicken was excellent.
Great Hamburger and crispy fries, the apple pie a la mode was awesome
Food was pretty good! Got the pork barbecue with macaroni & cheese (on top) sandwich!
Our waitress "Kathy" was the best waitress we have ever had there. Definitely going to request her in the future!
The deli is great for breakfast or lunch sandwiches, and the restaurant is great for lunch or dinner.
Amazing food, top quality, nice staff
We stop here anytime we are traveling back to PA from visiting relatives in Virginia. The jumbo lump crab cakes and cream.of crab soup are among the best wr have ever had. The mozzarella moo s were honemade, hot and very tasty too. Anyone drive g by or who lives nearby should make the effort to eat here. Prices are not low, but you get top quality food for your money
I had a pick two: homemade beef vegetable soup and half a curried chicken salad sandwich on rye with tomato and lettuce that was delicious.
Great food. Great service. Had the ribs, stewed tomatoes and baked pototo. Yum!!
Austin is the best! He was not only professional and courteous, he was also very knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak with.
This is a must visit place if you are in the area.. be sure to see all of it
Family owned and operated. Foods really good, nice ambience and service is top notch!
This was our first time at Rips. Since off the food was very tasty. Some could have used more seasonings. All in all the experience was good. The service was good and the staff friendly. We may give them another try before we leave.
Don't often go here except if we are visiting family in the area. Slow night. Food ok. My soup was cold and had to send it back, and my husband said fried chicken was very greasy and breast was very dry....
Love this place. Every time I come to Upper Marlboro MD, I stop in and people are always friendly and willing to help!!
this establishment is definitely another hidden gem in Maryland the breakfast was absolutely phenomenal and the service was spot-on. definitely enjoyed the food and the exceptional service here, seriously did not want to leave because the environment was so warm and welcoming.
Ok liquor store. Haven't eaten at the restaurant for awhile.
For the most part the food is very good. Some things taste like cafeteria food. The sweet tea taste like Lipton instant tea. I had a flashback to the 70's when I walked in. Very clean.
Good food. Not too salty. Good price. Good service. Not a big variety on menu, but what they have os satisfying. Great old- fashioned restaurant that does not try to be everything to everybody. They do what they do well. Crab cakes are just as good broiled and fried, so go healthier and get the broiled.
Always great service and great food, I have been eating there for 60 years and never had a bad time.
It has been a long time since I have been there but every time I have gone there to eat it has been enjoyable experience. Basic home down food. Casual atmosphere.
Sometimes it s grand.Went Sunday and had roast beef and crabcake. Superb! Best steak I had in a long time. Better then TxRdHouse, but, for me it was too much. Next time I will just get one items. The waitress was sweet & extremely friendly (not that friendly). Congratulations Rips!
The take away sandwich bar is super! They make great sandwiches and the service here (Spanish speaking, polite, women - bottomline here is excellent, fast, efficient service with a smile and perhaps a laugh.) The liquor store is first class. So the star rating system breaks down with this multi-establishment.
Free cornbread was good. Maryland fried chicken was excellent. All other entree's were ok. Green Beans were legit from a can and mashed potato gravy was uninspiring. Their desserts were large and excellent considering they're marginally more than other restaurants.
Rips is not what it used to be back in the day not even 3-5 years ago. Service was good but the food was run of the meal standard. Was a wonderful place but I may give it another try. Hoping it was a fluke.
Great service. Food was good. Steak sub was slightly disappointing but still good.
Love the food, drinks and atmosphere. The bartender is excellent
We are traveling from Delaware and were looking for a place to eat. We made a wrong turn and ended up here. Best wrong turn we have made so far. Awesome food and service.
I'm glad I found this restaurant. My server/bartender was super nice. I wish I new his name, but he didn't mention it. I enjoyed the Steak Moutard, which the chef brought to my table. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the service was awesome. Stop in, you'll be glad you did.
Service was great, food great as well. We go out of our way to eat at Rip s and shop liquor store!
My first experience at Rips was a good one! The cocktails and apps were perfectly executed, the service was great and we really enjoyed sitting in the bar. I was less impressed with our entrees (fried chicken and prime rib) but overall a really good experience.
Sunday buffet was not fantastic but it was decent. Omlets ham, and roast beef were phenomenal.
Nice interior, wait was about 46 minutes, very dusty on the walls, looks to be very under staffed, a lot of patrons waiting and a bunch of empty tables. Food was good, the price to proportion ratio, it a little lite for the price. Will try again next time we are in the area I do recommend the restaurant for a great non stream chain, they are very nice and it comfortable to relax in!
Rip's has great food, well-realized ambiance, and a friendly staff. But the real reason to visit and stay a while is the amazing craft cocktail menu, created by the restaurant's bartenders and featuring a wide range of homemade and home-infused ingredients.
Pretty good food. Not as hot as I think it should be. Great service though.
The food was great atmosphere was awesome. And waitress was pleasant..
Great food with a nice relaxed atmosphere. I love to come here for brunch or anytime really I want a well cooked meal. As close to home cooking as you can get outside of a home.
Have been coming to Rip's for over 40 years. Always receive great, friendly service along with great food. My mother, who passed in 2014, loved this place; was one of her favorites.
Everyone has favorite dishes and Rips makes a great cream of crab soup. Love the corn bread & butter as well.
They practiced social distancing and everyone was very courteous, however the food was not as tasty as it had been in the past and to boot, the prices had gone up. Also, for bread service we got one miniature loaf of cornbread to split between 5 people. Crab dip isn't on the streamlined/pandemic menu.
The service was not good at all! Our server forgot my salad and soup, we ordered a cup of the house soup he forgot to tell us that they ran out. My wife asked for a to-go- box for her food and the guy forgot again and picked up her plate and through her food away.
Food is always good. Ordered Christmas dinner...beef tenderloin...was excellent. Enough food for several meals.
Staff was very accommodating
Excellent place to dine or carryout
Soup was cold. Service was sub par even though there very few tables. Would was passable.
The service is always friendly, and the prices are fair. You won't find better comfort food anywhere in Bowie.
Great food, amazing selection mixed drinks and don't get me going about the whiskey selection. Make sure to not use the restroom because you will somehow find yourself buying a few bottles of fairly well priced whiskey at their connected store.
My dad and I went there for breakfast. The salmon omelet came with a very thin, dried out piece of salmon. My pancakes were just okay and the potatoes were so greasy that after 1 bite I left the rest. Low quality eggs. Prices much higher than local restaurants. We decided to never eat breakfast there again. Yuk.
I love this place, it's a deli & liquor store all in one .. huge variety
Great place to shop for different types of alcoholic drinks. Food tastes good as well.
The food is ok. But the service is good and the staff is very accommodating and attentive.
Good selection of items. Helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Disappointed they don't accept electronic IDs or mobile payments
Great food and service. Interesting equestrian decor - our booth was a stall.
Very cozy, great comfort food, like good home cooking, but at a nice comfortable restaurant.. Staff was friendly and accommodating! Would recommend!!
Cold, stale food.. Came here for my birthday, the cream of crab soup was thick like French onion dip and barely warm. Second time here, first time was ok.. Definitely hit or miss! This time was just a big disappointment!
