Very cool experience!! The food was not amazing, but that is not why you go here. You should go here to eat in the dark. I am American, do not speak any French, and sat at a table, alone, with 5 French people I didn't know and couldn't see.... AND IT WAS AWESOME. The staff is also absurdly kind and helpful even though I needed a little extra help because of the language barrier. You sit at a table with approx 5-6 people, completely in the pitch dark. I thought my eyes would adjust after a while... 2 hours later they did not adjust. You really can't see anything. I ate the food with my hands because I couldn't see my plate enough to efficiently use my silverware. I assume i was in a larger dining room because I could hear many other people around me. At one point somewhere clinked their glass, gave a toast and we all sang happy birthday in French. I couldn't completely understand what was going on, but I felt part of the unseen community - like we were all in this weird experience together. It was one of the coolest and more exciting things I did in Paris - HIGHLY recommend. Get out of your comfort zone!
