Such a great stay!! This is the cleanest and friendliest residence inn I have stayed in to date. Everything is thoughtfully done and the place is quite cozy.

The front desk agent, Kian, when we checked in was so friendly, he came outside with us to help me park my car with a uhaul trailer attached when it was 40 degrees and raining! He then noticed we came from a long road trip and gave us extra waters and expedited the check in process. Awesome!

The complimentary breakfast buffet was great as well.

Great job!

Good rooms which have a nice kitchen. Ample parking with a garage. They do a couple social nights a week with food that is actually quite excellent.

The location is pretty good as there is plenty nearby and you are close to the mosaic districts. Metro isn t far and they offer shuttle service. An excellent hotel.

Location of the hotel is very convenient and accessible to dining and shopping. Rooms are clean and appealing, bed are comfortable and the staff is friendly. Breakfast in the morning is a great start to the day!

We reserved a 2 bedroom suite over a month ago for our trip to DC with our granddaughter. We arrived at 5 to check in and our room was given away to someone else! Apparently, a reservation is really not a reservation if someone arrives before you and wants the room. The gentleman at the desk was very nice but there was nothing he could do. I sincerely doubt I will ever reserve a room with a Marriott hotel again. We travel a lot and have never had this happen before. Now, someone needs to sleep on a couch when we were more than willing to pay for a comfortable, 2 bedroom suite. Since we now have 1/2 the room, we should have paid 1/2 the price but nope, they can t do that. Terrible way to treat customers.

I got to the hotel and reserved a room the same day with no issues. The room was very clean and the front desk attendant was very accommodating. Only negative is the pet fee; $100 non-refundable to allow my dog to stay with me seems a little steep.

Stayed at the Residence Inn for a family vacation. Overall a great experience. Room was very clean, comfortable. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Amenities were nice, including pool with lifeguard, ball court, secure parking, shuttle to the metro subway station. Hotel provided delicious breakfast daily. Location was within walking distance to plaza with many excellent restaurants and other shops. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Room is nice, comes with a kitchen. The kitchen has a full fridge, stove, and dishwasher. There is a TV, sofa, computer desk and a dining table for two. Spacious enough and comfy. There's also a basketball court. The only complaint is that you can hear noise from the hallway.

Fairfax residence inn was clean and comfortable. Very quiet rooms. Didn't hear anyone else. Room had TV and full kitchen. Excellent accommodations for the money. Very good value. Will definitely stay at a Residence inn in the future.

Please do yourself a favor, don't stay here. You will regret it. Marriott was ok before but it's go downhill recently.

Pro:
- Good Location.
- Underground parking

Cons:
- Old and out dated.
- SLOWEST INTERNET ACCESS unless you paid
- Worn mattress. Your back will hurt next day
- Nasty breakfast.
- Most TV channels are not viewable.

This place is unrated IMO. They have free breakfast (waffles, eggs, bacon, DIY parfait station, cereal, bagels, chocolate croissants, and more) free parking (garage), free happy hours (food and drinks), free HIGH-SPEED internet with no restrictions on streaming services like Netflix. There's also a shopping center right next to the hotel. Depending on traffic, its only 20mins from downtown DC. They're literally just outside the beltway with easy access to 495. At $100/night that's a pretty good deal for this area if you ask me. My only complaint would be the front parking lot seems to have a lot of mosquitoes. At least when I was there in the summer.

My company books me this hotel while traveling onsite, as it is convenient in location. I have stayed at a wide range of Marriott hotels all across the U.S. (in 47 states) - so much so that I am a Lifetime Platinum Elite member. While the staff is friendly and the location is good for me, it's not the nicest hotel I have stayed at. Regardless of the room I stay in at this hotel, there is always something not up to par. Broken fixtures, uncleaned surfaces, etc. During my last stay, I was upgraded and placed in room 348 (a 2 bedroom on the end of the hotel). We did not have hot water for several days. We were told that we needed to run all water faucets for 10-20 minutes in order to get the water to turn warm/hot. Anybody with a sleeping toddler knows that this is not a smart idea at 7am while they are sleeping, not to mention this should not have to be the case. The hotel manager would not switch us rooms, but offered us another 1 bedroom room to use the shower in if we wanted, which was at the other end of the hotel. While this was a nice gesture, it was inconvenient for us. Also, for some odd reason, Fox News was the only channel that constantly had no audio, while all other channels did. I can't explain that one, but it was weird. The pics are just a few of the issues from my last stay (on top of the hot water issue).

Stayed in a single room that had recently been renovated. Just stayed one night and enjoyed the full American breakfast the next morning. Pretty good bagels, decent sausage, too. Excellent friendly staff. Would definitely recommend a stay at this location.

It is a great place, very familiar. Excellent attention from all the staff, the areas are always impeccable. It has a computer area, meeting room, varied breakfasts, excellent rates, swimming pool, whirlpool spa (jacuzzi), meal days in the afternoons (Monday to Wednesday) free WIFI, Fitness area and kitchens, dishwashers and basic utensils in each room . Around the area there are various stores such as Target, MetroPCS, ATM, Banks, etc. I loved it, one of my favorite places, second visit and every day it improves!

This place is currently being renovated. I do not believe we were in a renovated room. The room had what we needed and bed was clean. Location has walking or driving access to an Aldi, CVS, Starbucks, and several other small retail and restaurant places.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel needs updating. We stayed on the 4th floor in a two bedroom unit. The locks on the bathroom do not lock and one of the bathroom doors did not stay closed. The hallways on the 4th floor is like a sauna. After spending days in 90 degree heat you don t expect the hallways of the hotel to be hot as well. My son slept on the pull out sofa. He said the mattress looked like a one night stand mattress as there was a yellow stain on the mattress. On our third night, the air conditioner was not working. We went to the front desk, we were told the engineer had just left for the night. They did send up a maid, who couldn t figure out why it wasn t working. The maid kept telling us she would check on us, but never came back. We did eventually get it to work through the night, but was hot once again in the morning. Breakfast was ok. Waffles, sausage and dry eggs. Typical hotel breakfast. It was close to Dunn Loring Metro which was a plus!
