The hotel is really great, me and my family loved it. Our bedroom was nice and clean, two rooms connected with a living room and a kitchen. The hotel provides coffee (regular and decaf) and popcorn. The breakfast has a good variety and is only 10 miles from D.C. The living room has a fireplace and a TV and in the rooms there are TV's and a extra blanket set if you need to setup a small bed for your child. Near to the parking lot of the hotel there are chinese restaurant, CVS, and other stores that you can reach in a very short walk.

Clean comfortable suite. Exceptional breakfast & courteous service where they take the time to listen & address your concerns & needs in a timely & professional maner. An added plus was the happy hour on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday evenings where they offer free beer & wine with a tasty light dinner offering. Definitely worth a visit.

We stayed here for one night on Christmas Eve 2017 and it was a very good experience overall. The suites are very spacious, with the bed and bathroom in their own dedicated room (kind of like a Junior 1br apartment). Excellent staff, plenty of free parking (with an underground garage), very clean room, up-to-date furnishing and a comfy queen bed is what we experienced. Nice big TVs in both the living room and bedroom. Quite location (far enough away from Gallows Rd and the Beltway) made for a quiet night's sleep. The free breakfast is not bad and was a nice bonus, with a few hot items as well as the typical continental-type fare. This location is directly behind Yorkshire Center, with a stairway connecting to it via a breezeway, so you can there is a CVS, Aldi Grocery, Starbucks, and about 4 restaurants practically next to it - Also, about a 5-10 min walk to Gate House Plaza, which has a UNO Pizzeria, Sweetwater Tavern, Panda Express, Chevy's and a Wendy's. Short ride to the Mosaic District, Dunn Loring Metro and INOVA Fairfax Hospital. If we need another hotel room in this area, we would definitely make this our first choice.

The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was limited but good and the customer service was excellent. The lady who the breakfast was a hard worker and was very nice. I would highly recommend this place as it also located next to a small plaza for convenience.

Friendly staff, practicing safe social distancing, the rooms are clean I'd have given it 5 stars but our room needs some paint touch upstairs and other minor fixes. Love their beautiful hydrangeas planted around the courtyard!

My flight was cancelled and after midnight they were very accommodating to check me in. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and the bed was comfortable. Checked out around 7am the next day so did not get to experience the broader facilities but my short stay was a pleasant one.

I stayed here 2 weeks for a work retreat.

pros: free breakfast, spacious rooms, free shuffle to metro and shopping, managers happy hour m-wed evenings, Starbucks in walking distance.

Cons: Maid service does a scratch the surface cleaning job. I had stains on my bathroom counter and had to ask them to do a better job of scrubbing it off. At the managers happy hour you re limited to two drinks - beer or wine- and the wine is poured sparingly. It s also advertised as off the grill but it is not grilled food.

The conference room was freezing but I don t think that s the hotels fault. There is a grill on site. The pool was not open. A few kids were playing basketball. WiFi is not that great, being a hotspot.

Not a bad location ,the staff can be a mixed bag. We had a male that would not allow our floor selection. He told us that the hotel was booked up and that we had no choice. The parking lot was very empty at that time. With this middle eastern male first come first serve means nothing. If I didn't know better I would think he gets a kick out of discriminating against certain groups of people. I felt no need to complain as I've been to this location twice. This guy wasn't working there the first time. With his lack of hospitality I'm sure he won't be there next year.

A+

Huge shout out to Eema! She a very kind and helpful person. When I arrived the system was down and it seemed like it was only her and the housekeeper running the whole show. Eema kept her cool and assisted everyone as best as possible. Great experience overall, will definitely be back when in the area.

Stayed 2 weeks in the Virginia/DC area at various hotels and this was the best place. Seriously love this place! Has everything you expect from a Residence Inn and more. The staff was extremely friendly. Our room was so comfy. Definitely looking to stay at this chain every time we travel from now.

The room was a great space. If you are a night worker and sleep during the day, mention that at check in. They will try to accommodate a quiet location.
Breakfast was good here and the lobby is a nice place to gather. Fireplace and TV in one area and a quiet conversation place close by. Basketball and corn hole were a hit too! The evening reception was fair, but free food is always appreciated.

Nice clean rooms. Good staff. Basketball rings for the kids. Open and covered parking, good location, lots of places to eat nearby and 24hrs CVS pharmacy next block. Staff was very helpful to get our two rooms next to each other.

Very accommodating. Hot breakfast in mornings, mixers w free alcohol in evening. Close proximity to Tyson's corner - for amazing dining options. Local restaurants and shopping adjacent to hotel as well or you can have just about anything delivered to your door. Because to tip your room attendants!! They'll leave you tons of extras!

The furniture and facilities are dated but the staff tries extra hard to makeup.

A lot of hotels in this category offer things like nicer bedding and towels---this hotel is stuck in the dark age with respect to that. Also, the TV is an old CRT and most of the furniture is just really really old. The breakfast is okay. The coffee is pretty bad. The eggs, potatoes, and everything are just the same day after day and are just the typical poor-quality institutional variety. The phones do not have direct incoming lines which would be nice for an extended stay establishment. The largest problem here is the internet. There is wifi only in the main areas although it's somewhat accessible in some of the rooms. The internet, during peak times, slows to dial-up speed. It is readily apparent that they don't have enough bandwidth.

On the other hand, the staff, from the front-desk to the housekeeping go out of their way to make your stay as homey and enjoyable as possible.

Finaly, the really sould consider a shuttle service to the Dunn Loring Metro Station.

Last time I visited the Hotel about 5 years ago. Since that time the Hotel was completely renovated. It looks great and comfy. I really enjoyed my stay.
They have brand new kitchen appliances, new carpets, and etc., and even fire place.
Nice location - close to bus stop, complimentary a-mile-around van on request (to Dunn-Loring Metro Station), 50 meters from shops and dining shops.
The hotel staff is brilliant. Always polite and provide with solutions on any kind of requests.
I definitely recommend the hotel!

The rooms were decent and clean, but the staff is rude and lazy. If you ask the person at the front counter for something, they'd tell you to go find a particular person to tell, instead of doing it themselves. This happened with multiple front desk workers. Apparently they aren't big on doing their jobs, and try to outsource it to you.

Definitely could use some repairs. Overall okay 3 night stay but could have been better. I'm a platinum elite member and Residence Inns are my usual go to hotel.

Pros:
- Staff was accommodating and friendly. I requested an early arrival and two bedroom suite upgrade and Brittany at the front desk was really awesome about it.
- Free shuttle service to the metro, make sure to schedule and remember that it only runs hourly.
- Free parking
- Dog friendly

Cons:
- Room smelled like mildew, I think it's because the air conditioning kept leaking onto the carpet.
- Other maintenance issues included the shower head that leaked, bathroom door that didn't lock, the entry door handle kept jamming, lightbulb in fridge was just hanging, I kept accidentally hitting it and broken windows.
- Breakfast on weekends was a circus, staff couldn't keep up with the demand.

This is a warning to anyone considering staying at this hotel or any Marriott in the future. Keep your belongings safe with you at all times and follow the maids and maintenance workers that come in your room and never let anyone enter when you are not there! We learned this the hard way. My family and I stayed here as we were in transition to another country and in a span of four weeks the workers managed to steal my child's tablet and my entire 6x6 jewelry box! We reported the tablet, at which point they tried to compensate us for the amount, and a few days later my jewelry box was stolen. Read the Virginia laws carefully, because the corporate world has made it very convenient for hotels in Virginia to not compensate for jewelery. We lost invaluable things, and all they said was, essentially, oops! Oh well! They provide no safes in the rooms and, conveniently, have no cameras anywhere. Apparently a while back they had an individual living in the stairwell who eventually gained access to one of the rooms and stole someone's belongings...you would think they would installs cameras in the hallways after this, but nope! We filed a police report, but who knows if/when they will have time for yet another "file." Marriott's corporate office called us and regurgitated the Virginia hotel regulations and, in an accusatorial manner, boldly suggested that the fault was ours. Seems that the law is on the corporate side, and they will easily wash their hands off any wrongdoings. Learn from our mistake and if you are traveling with valuables stay at a hotel that has a safe in the room, and as another added safety measure get one of your own cameras and set it up by the door to monitor who enters your room. You can't be too careful, and unfortunately, Marriot couldn't care less what happens to you. Marriott should be ashamed of themselves for conducting business in such a manner as to treat their guests like cattle. We spent thousands of dollars at this hotel, and were robbed of thousands more, and Marriot is a disgrace to how a hotel should be.
