A modern and beautiful hotel. It is convenient to reach the old town, the Vienna West Station, the Central Station and the Mitte with the underground m4. It is near to Schoenbrunn palace.
You won't change sheets and towels, so it's OK if you leave a tip and leave a note.

The hotel itself is nice and stylish in an awesome neighborhood of Vienna. My room was not the cleanest, it was very small and dark with no view at all, but the AC worked fine and the shower was great! Unfortunately the hotel was packed with Asian bus tourists which gave the lobby and the breakfast area (poor selection and inefficient service) the atmosphere of a departure hall of a station. The biggest disappointment was the gym: extremely poor equipped, narrow and heated to 30 degrees, so it was basically impossible to use...

Located in a quiet neighborhood with a subway station next to it. However this is a typical Renaissance hotel where everything is just mediocre. Staff are aloof as they never smile, don t really seem to care, and I never found a concierge throughout my stay. I requested two pairs of knife and fork to be sent to my room but was directed to go downstairs and pick it up myself.

The guest room was small and only had room essentials. It seemed pretty new and modern though. Housekeeping really can be improved as I found a foot nail and a used bandage on the floor.

Unprofessional and rude staff who overcharged a lot of things wrongly. Not animal-friendly, but greedy, as you have to pay for cleaning every day, but it is not cleaned at all. Only lukewarm water comes out of the showers. Worst hotel I've ever been to.

The decoration style is modern and simple. The floor inside is not carpet, very clean and very like. The room is a little small and the bed is too soft! Some rooms are facing the railway and noisy at night. The front desk staff will make mistakes. I exchanged the Marriott points for the room or received the price of several tens of euros. I acknowledged the error by holding the confirmation email. So look carefully at your bill.

This is a great hotel conveniently located across the street from the Meidling U4 station. It is about ~25 min from the 1st district where the main tourist attractions are located. All public transit types are well interlinked, comes frequently at stops and is inexpensive. It is based on the honour system. U train ticket checks are random and we encountered it once during our 6 day stay. The staff at the hotel are helpful and courteous. Rooms have modern look with grey wood laminate flooring throughout. Internet wifi worked well during our visit. There is a restaurant in the lobby, and a gym & sauna on the 7th floor. There is a small convenience store across the street. Up a few blocks in the other direction on the pedistrian walking area are larger supermarket options like Billa and Spar in addition to small cafes and retail stores.

Quiet, close to the U4 metro that takes us to the heart of Vienna in 5 stations. 7 minutes walk from the palace of Sisi and its gardens. The hotel staff is on top. The room is very nice, very clean, very functional, great shower room and bedding. We also eat very well. Ideal to decompress. The gym and sauna allow us to face a new day with energy and enthusiasm. You plan to go to Vienna for work or holidays, I recommend you stay at the Renaissance Hotel.

Excellent hotel. Clean, tidy, up to date, and in a relatively good location. Not downtown but near the Schloss (10-minute walk). Subway across the street. Several pubs and coffee shops nearby (1-minute walk). Safe neighborhood. Good breakfast. Very prompt and happy employees. Renovating exterior here in summer/fall of 2014, but a pleasant hotel during this period.

Came in a big tour group. Check in was fine.

But when i went to my room the keycard would not open the door. Went down to the receptionist to get ot fixed. Climbed up stairs because there was a long queue of people for the elevators as there were only 2 of 3 elevators working.

Reached my room. Again the key card would not open the door. Went back down again to get it fixed. Climbed up stairs to the 3rd floor again.

This time the key card worked but to my horror, the room i was assigned to was already occupied. And the guest was inside the room.

Went back down again to inform the receptionist. So they gave me another room.

When i showered, the drain was clogged so that water ran off the cubicle.

And the aircon in my room is noisy.

Nice hotel, nice room but not a nice experience.

Stylish but minimal Renaissance

Stylish but minimal Renaissance

Like the title of the review states, this is surely a stylish hotel like other reviewers have called out, however don t expect the frills and thrills you might be treated to a good Renaissance hotel at other parts of Eastern/Central Europe or Asia! But considering the deal we got in the last minute, this was surely worth it -esp. if you are looking for adding another night as a Marriott loyalty member. If not - and if you are on a leisure holiday - I d recommend staying somewhere closer to the center and avoid this place

LOCATION: One of the downsides of the hotel, as it is located on the outer fringes and not close to the City center. And every taxi ride to the center will cost you. Money! They do have a metro station right next door though.

DINE + DRINK: Cool Lobby bar called WUNDER KAMMER that is good for a pre drink a late night cap. Didn t try the. Breakfast so cannot comment about the food.

ROOM: We stayed in 355, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Random view of Garden behind ; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: One of the downsides, as the room was quite heated up and the Aircon was not functioning well and we woke up in the middle of the night a few times due to this and had to leave the window open!; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Excellent SPA quality cosmetics from the popular TOKYO MILK brand

FACILITIES: A very decent Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines located on the 7th floor. Good for dumbbell based workouts as they have nothing more on the free weights side.

SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of.

HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages

We took a short break in Vienna and chose the Renaissance hotel from our online research, the price which sat well in our budget and the reviews posted, we were not disappointed. Although a little outside the city centre, it is nevertheless easy to get there. The U4 line is just across the road, the trains are every 5 minutes or so and you can get to Karl splat in 10 minutes. Back to the hotel, rooms have been thoroughly updated and are light and airy, the double bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast catered for lovers of the "Full English" although a bit continental is ed to more healthy options. We would recommend this hotel to compliment your stay in Vienna.

Overall okay, check-in was not as friendly as expected. Rooms are okay ( glass on desk does not allow mouse to function and plastic desk chair was not comfortable) and rooms were loud at night with police sirens. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Hand soap was hidden behind sink.

Beautiful hotel, slightly off-center but just a few meters from the metro u4. The rooms are very nice, comfortable, clean and beautifully finished. From the TV you can order meals .. you feel really pampered. The only drawback: breakfast is offered at 25 per person per night .. it seems a bit excessive.

The Rennaissance Hotel is desingtechnisch really great and stylishly decorated! Everything is super coordinated and fits together well. Our room was spacious, clean and ready before the official check in, which we found to be good after a long drive! The parking was unfortunately not included and with 25 euros not cheap, but the garage had a lot of space and it was easier than on the street always a place to look. The breakfast was plentiful and had a great selection, but the quality of the food left a lot to be desired (the cucumbers were totally dehydrated, the freshly spread waffle bland, the scrambled eggs were soggy, etc.). The hygiene in the room we unfortunately noticed negatively, as the silicone joints of the shower on the floor were all littered with mold and the shower was partly very calcified. These two points and the quality of some breakfasts do not really suit a 4 star hotel in this price range, which was a shame because the decor is a real eye-catcher and you feel totally comfortable. The staff was very nice and attentive, as you really can not complain!

The hotel is very nice and the staff friendly. However, one night we tried to order room service through their TV menu system. I called the restaurant one hour later and they said they never r eceived the order. By that time it was too late.

A very nice establishment, very clean, very quiet. Beautiful rooms. An attentive and friendly staff. The only small problem is the language, the French is not spoken by the staff of the reception, it is imperative to speak English or German.

The best humanity and care shown to not just a foreigner/guest but a fellow human being in distress. I cannot thank enough this hotel, especially staff Nina, for literally saving my life.

Not only was the service professional, courteous and thoughtful but went beyond the call of duty to ensure a guest was provided treatment in the nick of time at the most crucial point.

I cannot find an email id in order to send my details.

I do hope that with this review a little of my heartfelt gratitude can be shared with everyone.

Hotel is located near U6 and U4 so it is easy getting around Vienna. Staff is helpful and the restaurant is good. Rooms were very clean and nicely furnished. I liked the overall style of the Hotel. All in all fully recommendable.

Could have been alot better. Took our own drinking glasses from our room. On one occasion we where left with only one tea cup and there were two of us in the room. One of the days our room wasn't cleaned at all. Manager did offer us a evening meal and a drink to go with it but were unable to accept this because of other commitments.

Very comfortable hotel near Ubahn 4 line, easily accessible to downtown and Schonbrunn Palace. Staff is very friendly and helpful to foreign guests and tourists. Wifi is very slow though and some construction is going on.
