My stay so far has been very good. The breakfast is excellent, staff have been friendly and helpful, and the location is right across the street from the Meidling Hauptstrasse metro station so getting around the city is very easy. On top of that the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel is nice but the bar did not want to give us a drink at 00:30 on Saturday. We were also not allowed to sit at the table but only at the bar which was very uncomfortable with 9 people! No nice bar staff !!! Too bad

It was a New Year's Eve dinner. Unfortunately disappointing. No starters! Main courses from the taste very good. We were also expecting more choice. But too little of Viennese cuisine. Price / performance ratio did not fit this time but the drinks were there. Last time there was four years ago, it was great !!

Great hotel, very well located, subway just 2 minutes away, very clean, very tasteful, rooms very clean, great breakfast, bread for allergy sufferers is offered (gluten-free), very helpful and friendly staff, only drawback, parking is only possible in the hotel garage for 25 EUR per day. In the whole vicinity of the hotel is the parking on the street only by the hour with parking permit possible

The Renaissance Hotel Vienna is currently being re...

The Renaissance Hotel Vienna is currently being renovated, the reception and the staff are very nice. There is no lounge - as is usually the case in Marriott hotels of this class - as compensation there was a sparsely stocked minibar.
Breakfast is huge but comes in masses to fruit / vegetables from glasses / cans. The cheese and sausage selection looks like it was bought in the wholesale market. The bread is frozen and still half cold. On the other hand, the cook who prepares the eggs or omelets fresh on the pan is very pleasant.
The rooms are very old and damaged a lot. Despite multiple references, it was not cleaned correctly here. The bathroom is rusting and moldy. Fittings are chipped off, as are the cabinet fittings. The "club room" with a higher standard that had actually been promised to me (because of Gold Elite membership at Marriott) was then refused without further ado. The food in the bar in the evening was good.

Overall, I am very dissatisfied with my vacation at the Renaissance Hotel - I don't know why it is in a category above and more expensive than the Marriott Courtyard Wien Messe at Marriott. Between the two hotels there are easily 3 stars. It is your own fault if you stay at the Renaissance Hotel Vienna.

Although I have complained several times and have been assured that they will come back to me again - for which they noted my name - this has not happened to this day. At the Marriott Courtyard Wien Messe, on the other hand, I was approached without asking for an evaluation. So far I have always been very satisfied with Marriott Hotels, I will avoid the Renaissance Hotels from the Marriott Group in the future.

If you are interested, I am happy to send you pictures of defects in the rooms.

Terribly! At the settlement, they stood in line for 40 minutes: only one worked at registration !! people, this despite the fact that the guests were somewhere about 20 people ... They stayed for 3 days - the room was cleaned only once .. There were two people registered in the room, but there were only one hygiene facility. And the highlight: upon check-in, 50 euros were withdrawn from the card, which they had to return when they were evicted - but they never returned anything ...
I do not recommend.

The hotel was fabulous and the room was quite spacious. The bed was super comfy although the sofa bed left something to be desired. The bathroom was rustic at the same time modern and was well designed. The hotel lobby was beautiful and the receptionists were really helpful. They even gave me a bday surprise consisting of many sweets and fruits which was a huge surprise. All in all you should enjoy your stay here.

Bathrooms are old and worn - for me the most important thing about a hotel, as this is a special hygiene area. Very friendly staff, but rather due to the fact that Vienna, or Austria is very hospitable. The rooms are OK but also outdated, the Matrazzen - well. Unfortunately gabs also with the booking problems. At the end hats worked, but the prices were on the ground massively higher than the Internet. We are not going to Renaissance Vienna anymore.

The hotel is a few kilometers from the city center. Anyone who undertakes to explore the city on foot should therefore prepare for a longer walk.
However, it is also possible to use the train. The next station is just a few minutes walk away. Despite the proximity to the train and street it was very quiet in the room. The room itself was equipped with a TV, air conditioning and a private bathroom with shower. The air conditioning is more than enough to cool the room to a comfortable level even in high temperatures.
In addition, the room has a small fridge, as well as a kettle. Who instead of the breakfast offered by the hotel so rather own fruit or similar. want to buy breakfast has the chance. A fruit and vegetable shop is located directly opposite the hotel entrance.
On the top floor is also a very nice gym, which also has a few drinks and apples.

Conclusion: The hotel is perfectly adequate for a weekend trip to Vienna. Even it describes itself as "elegant" and the hotel lobby initially conveys this impression, however, I have the color design of the rooms and the wall tattoos rather than "trashy" felt. As a guest you are to the rather anonymous and only one of many. You can not expect the charm of a family-run hotel here. Overall, it is solid and can be recommended, as it has no significant flaws.

A sad experience! I paid for 2 people and the parking was not cheap (25 per day) for 2-star services: leaking from the clogged shower, the bathroom door does not close. For four days in a row I asked for the reception to fix them and nothing happened

Second day here, two things to note: first, if you have an early international flight, make sure you request early check-in or you will be hanging out in the lobby for a while with all of your possesions wishing you could find somewhere to brush your teeth. Try to hit breakfast before 7 or after 8 - there are a lot of tours in the area and it's a mad house in the morning.

It's my first visit to Vienna and the Renaissance Hotel has served me well. Enjoyed good rest after a long day walking along the Ringstrasse, or after a concert at Musikverein. I am truly spoilt for choice at the food bar downstairs For breakfast. So much food and beverages to enjoy! The ambience is also something worth mentioning, stylish, elegant. It's excellent overall.
