Despite ongoing renovations, our stay has been wonderful. Staff is attentive and friendly. Dining options are varied and excellent. Rooms are well appointed, although I wish they included a fridge. Access to Camelback mountain is a short walk or a quick Uber away.

Beautiful tennis facilities, kind staff, private atmosphere. Any time spent at The Phoenician is guaranteed to please and relax. The evening ambiance is characterized by mild temperatures and light breezes.

I chose to sit outside, with nothing to do. I could not focus, for the life of me, on the book I had brought for myself to read. The sunset views from the golf and tennis facilities totally captivated my imagination.

You can feel the history here. Those short hours spent in the evening breeze took me back to a most unique frame of mind. One can almost taste the nuclear ambitions of a 1950's America at The Phoenician, where even today, at the crossroads of opulence & comfort, the tastefully landscaped grounds offer any visitor an enriching experience.

This place is seriously overpriced for what is is- which is at best mediocrity. The service is poor - the afternoon tea could not accommodate my pregnant wife, even though we had notified them in advance. The Italian restaurant was bland and tasteless. The icecream parlor had terrible food hygiene standards- I could actually see one of the food preparers eating food whilst preparing sandwiches. Stay at the Canyon Suites rather than the main complex if you do decide to come here.

My wife and I stayed here over the New Year weekend and our stay was even better than the last 3 or 4 times we were here. The service is professional yet not invasive. The addition of the breakfast makes this even better. Can't wait to go back. Thank you.

Hello, it's The Phoenician, of course it's fabulous. I have been coming here since the beginning and you can always count on having a superior experience. From dining to accommodations and especially the hospitality, there is no place remotely comparable in the Valley. And if you've never tried their high tea, do it. Immediately! So much fun. I think the biggest thing that stands out is how their staff has always treated me with the same respect and welcoming attitude, whether I arrived in a VW Bug in the 90s for my high school senior trip or in recent years for weekend getaways with my husband. I can't wait to see what the latest evololution will add to what is already my favorite escape.

Helpful staff, provided a crib, and very accommodating for having a newborn. They also provided a mini fridge free of charge. Was able to Amazon Prime Now items and have Pizza delivery. Try to meet delivery folks out front by the fountain. Great atmosphere, awesome outdoor area. Everything was a bit higher priced than I expected.

he room we had was large and very comfortable. What was most impressive was the staff at the closingproperty. We did encounter a single member who didn't perform well. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The food was consistently very good. The shop area was disappointing in its limited offerings and early closing

I stayed with my bosslady for a company event, it was fantastic! The staff was kind, always smiling, and helpful. We stayed on the elite floor, and the view was spectacular. My favorite about this resort, 24/7 access to the pool area! Which there were 3 of and all beautifully lit at night. Amazing artwork, a walking cactus garden, new fitness facility, and sparkling clean. Highly recommend that you consider staying here, September was perfect.

Beautiful resort!! The staff is great and super helpful. I got to visit here in February and the temperatures were wonderful. I highly recommend finding the cactus garden and taking a stroll through in the morning.

We stayed for our wedding night. The staff went above and beyond to make our night special! The gate guard knew we were coming, and was very kind. Our room had special chocolates, a bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, and a HANDWRITTEN NOTE! We appreciated the staff going above and beyond to make our special night extra special.

Elegant hotel, with great restaurants, great pools, and amazing views. Mowry & Cotton was excellent for Sunday brunch. Whether you're from Arizona or just visiting, the Phoenician is a must!

Before we finished eating dinner, we decided to return in the morning for the selections then. As for dinner, my wife loved the salmon and I had the mushroom flat bread which was on crisp crust with a variety of mushrooms. Yummy. Desserts amazing

The Phoenician is one of the most relaxing places I've ever been to. I saw different places like this before but the quality of service they provide to their guests is all the matters to me. They're polite and attentive to our needs which is a good plus to us.

It's wonderful. They have everything you need. Every single staff member I've encountered has been extremely polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for a vacation or an in town get away.

Went for brunch. The service was great, but the food was overcooked and the flavors did not compliment each other. The only item worth eating was the roast beef which was at most mediocre. Another was the shrimp cocktail which is difficult to mess up. In other words, you do not get what you paid for.

I used to work here 20 years ago when it was considered one of the best resorts in the world. I understand that 20 years in Arizona is plenty of time run a property down. Not that this property is run down, it simply is far from as nice as it was when I worked there. There were burnt out lights in my room, the thermostat was from the 60's and I saw several pieces of trash around the property. The room I stayed in is in desperate need of remodeling and air freshener. In addition to the various run down areas I noticed, the customer service was below my expectations. I walked by several team members that never even acknowledged me. This was a fireable offense when I worked there. I love this property and enjoyed my time working there, but was disappointed with the condition and service of the property.

The accommodations were tremendous! Beautiful pools and a gorgeously manicured campus. I attended a corporate banquet, which was very organized and well catered. Would recommend anyone with the coin to stay a weekend at The Phoeician.

Everything was excellent, from the rooms to the restaurants, to the pool .
About 25/30 min from the international airport.
The cleanliness of the bedrooms are beyond word, great service and very caring staff. The food and drinks are very well crafted and plenty of options to choose from.
The grounds are amazing to explore! Right behind Camelback Mountain. The vegetation is unique .
I will definitely recommended it and most certainly return!

Service is polite and good, maybe slow in getting back to you.
The food was not very good. Low quality produce. The salad I was served had yellow arugula. The recipes used are not cohesive. I ordered an arugula salad it was over dressed with a sweet sticky dressing that was smoked. Smoked arugula salad- tasted as good as I m describing.
The meat was good. Proteins are good quality.
I found ants everywhere. I recommend bringing bug spray. There were numerous spider webs in the common areas.
I gave the phonecian 2 stars. It deserves less. The only reason it has 2 is because the service was good. The staff is very polite and nice.
Otherwise this was a waste of money. I am happy to spend my money on a luxurious experience. This was not luxury. Please walk through. Look for the bugs, look at the menus and look at the quality of food.
Look at the facilities- the pot holes in the drive up. This is not a luxury. It is less than great, it is mediocrity dressed as something else.

Spend 6 days on the resort and played golf with a bunch of buddies. The resort was exquisite, everything you'd expect from 5 stars but the golf course was not at par. Lots of pool areas to relax, and a great lobby bar to have a few laughs and meet people. The staff was excellent both at the resort and golf club. Try the Relish restaurant, we loved the various burgers.

If it's beauty I'm reviewing I'd give a 5++.
Hubby & I took a quick stay~cation for the July 4th weekend and felt Bliss & Paradise until right before check out.
Standard checkout is 12pm but we asked for a late check out 2pm. We were granted this request via my pre~check in phone call (Ryan) and reconfirmed at our physical check-in (Ryan-front desk). Sunday morning before brunch I called the front desk to confirm for the 3rd time a 2pm checkout.
Initially we had a 2nd floor room overlooking the pool and had to move to the ground with a a garden view which was even more beautiful due to hip issues for me. The team was very understanding and while we were out of the room they moved our belongings to the new room making such an impression on us as far as their level of customer service and accommodations made to us.
After we enjoyed our amazing beautiful brunch at Mowry & Cotton, we wanted to enjoy a couple hours at the pool before spending our last hour in the room for privacy and to take advantage of the beautiful HUGE tub for a relaxing bubble bath and music. 10 minutes after 1pm a maid entered our room without knocking catching my husband pulling up his underwear & me still in the tub. My husband asked if she even saw the privacy marker which she replied, "YES and left.
35 minutes later and 15 minutes before 2pm a knock at the door this time asking if we were still in the room and a statement that we were showing gone.
Instantly we loaded our bags & exited the room, headed straight to the front desk (Kamden) to share our experience. Kamden showed no empathy for the embarrassment endured by my husband and reluctantly credited us our $35 resort fee after I explained how the last hour ruined our whole experience & our embarrassment has no value.
I can't believe that after confirming 3 times we still had an issue.

This is a true 5 star hotel. Rooms are great, food is excellent, and everybody that works there is awesome. One small minor detail is that they need to be able to accept corporate credit cards. Terminal is set to ask CC for PIN. Excellent pool area. Make sure you get up early and hike the Cholla Trail.
