I stay in Marriott properties 3-6 months out of the year. I am a Marriott Platinum Member. For this hotel, I got hung up on (accidentally) three times before being connected to a reservationist. She quoted the govt. rate at $109 (the actual rate was $107). I asked if they would do $107 like the Hilton, they would not. I got there at 11 PM. No valet or help with luggage. I specifically asked to be put on the 12th floor concierge level, I was originally put on the 8th. Later learned the concierge lounge was not open on the weekend. Normal, yes, but they could have let me know when I requested it. At check in, on the 12th floor, my keys did not work. The front desk clerk asked "how is everything so far" I said "do you really want to know", he replied, "Oh, bad, sorry". I said do you want to knew. He replied "Not really" and left. My keys didn't work and neither did another guest I rode the elevator with. I told them their service sucked. They gave me a 2 drinks for 2 people voucher. The bar said that mean two drinks period. Charged us for the other two. The room was clean except the bathroom...little hairs all around. Breakfast looked like a war zone. I was seated at a table just vacated with a dirty tablecloth and an old cup of coffee. Buffet items were aged.
Overall, nice property with POOR management. Nice location.

The Renaissance was nice but it's not like I stayed in it all day, we just slept there and it was across the street from the event so it wasn't too crowded. Overall a pretty good hotel.

I booked the wrong night at the Renaissance Richardson on Orbitz and when I showed up at the hotel the next day, I was told I was booked as a no show for the night before. The front desk told me that I would have to call Orbitz to re-book as well as they weren't certain that they could honor the rate on Orbitz. After 1 minute of seeing my distraught face, the front desk gentleman, Tal, graciously said he would see what he could do. He re-booked me with no charge and for the same rate as I got with Orbitz! What a treat to have such exceptional service! He alleviated my stress instantly. He also went out of his way to grab two bottled waters for me and my husband! Highly recommend!! It was a beautiful, comfortable room!

The rooms are nice. I'd try and get a king bed if possible as the twin beds are a little short. Hotel has a bar and a gym which are both more than adequate. I came for work so my parking was covered but otherwise the rates seemed pretty expensive and there aren't any other places to park for free nearby so keep that in mind. It's not too far from stores and eateries so that was great. Rhe staff were great and very accommodating. I would stay here again

Do NOT waste your time trying to get a drink at this bar. Just had a bartender try to make a Manhattan (a drink that is featured on their menu) using Peychaud bitters and dry vermouth. When I asked if he had any sweet vermouth, he brought out a bottle of white vermouth. I ended up getting a glass of wine. Epic bartending fail.

Was greeted with a disgruntled, Hi. from the check in person, who then proceeded to ignore me and give a friendly Hey! How ya doing? to the man delivering the concession snacks. Each time we needed to get our car or drop the keys back off with the valet we had to wait 10-15 minutes. Also got to stand there and listen to two valets argue...while we waited outside with our 5 month old. Our room was set on 62 degrees and we were still sweating. I don t think the thermostat was accurate. The towel bar in the shower was broken and hanging halfway off, and we got one of the updated rooms. When I called to ask if we could get a room service menu the girl argued with me about there being one in the room, which I couldn t find. Either way, just be friendly and drop off another... I am paying several hundred dollars to stay! Would not recommend this hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times. While this property is portrayed as an upscale hotel by Marriott, it is no longer what it once was. The hotel lobby is lovely, but the guest areas are a different story. We saw carpet seams in the corridor that were not sewn, which is a hazard to rolling luggage and shoe heels. Our room was not clean, and had a strong odor or floral spray.

Additionally, when my husband stepped in the shower this morning there were multiple long dark hairs matted on the shower wall. Gross! The floor of the shower looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months, and there was actually a ring around the tub in our bathroom.

In the past, we had a specific type of room reserved 10 months in advance. When we arrived, that room had been given to someone else. In trying to speak to the reservations office, I called multiple times, leaving multiple messages and never received a return call about the situation.

Our bed felt like sleeping on box springs, and sounded just as bad. It was completely uncomfortable. The lady next door to us did not even have a top sheet on her bed. When she reported this, the front desk acted like she was asking for something special. This is a poorly managed property and has not deserved AAA 4-diamond in several years, but they still keep bragging about their 4-diamond status!

Priorities are misplaced here. Instead of serving their customers, this management has an attitude that they are doing you a favor by letting you stay at their hotel.

Confused valet and bell staff, EXTREMELY condescending front desk attendants, room service delivered my coffee and completely disregarded my breakfast order...not a good experience, nor is it one I care to repeat.

Two of three front desk attendants were busy. The third finally greeted me after previously noticing my presence twice. He asked how I could be helped and I informed him I was checking in. After staring down his nose at me a third time (I was wearing jeans and a t-shirt and carrying a backpack, perhaps that does not scream Renaissance guest?) he resigned himself to the fact I was a guest. He looked at me sideways while stating he would need a credit card, as if he expected me to be unable to produce such an item. It was only at this time he realized I am a Titanium Elite member. Begrudgingly, he thanked me for my patronage. He did not, however, ask if I wanted points as my welcome gift, or offer anything. He also did not offer a late check out, nor an upgrade if available. When I stated I had luggage at the bell desk, one would have thought his world was ending. After all of this I had to inquire about WIFI and at that time an access card was placed in my key envelope with a comment that I could "choose to accept charges." Then, to top it off there was no fond farewell offered with directions to the elevator. Likely because there were no directions to the elevator...I had to ask a passing bellman.

The front desk staff, and this yahoo in particular, needs to seriously revisit the Marriott Commitment to Excellence. IMO they can also get over themselves in the process.

Room was adequate, bed was comfortable, though certainly not special. The highlight of my room was having ample hot water.

The concierge lounge attendants were quite pleasant and the food in the lounge was adequate. The computers in concierge lounge would not allow me to log on to my email because they were not secure.

Checking out was the highlight of this $330, one night visit. Do yourself a favor and avoid this experience.

We were very surprised that our "plan" did not include free wi fi. Our room was comfortable, but no refrigerator, or microwave. This caused us to be dependent on room service for a bottle of water.

My stay at the Renaissance was fantastic. The main lobby is wide open to a skylight that makes the entire space look refreshingly aesthetic. The view from my room overlooked the highway, which was great to look at in the the evening. My only complaint is getting into the property from the freeway is a little difficult, but once you figure out where you are going it is well worth the drive.

One of my favorite hotels, newly renovated it looks lovely, I have stayed here more nights than I care to admit, and the staff all made me feel like I was at home. Even though my client location has moved and I am no longer in this area, I still had to come by and say hello to the friendly faces that I have known for the past 15 years. Thank you all for everything through the years!

Super nice hotel with nice rooms and accommodations. Parking garage is convenient for self parking so valet is not mandatory. Plenty in the area to eat and drink as well as close to many office buildings in the area. Restaurant is good but not great and expensive as is typical for this level of hotel. WiFi is fast and reliable plus Marriott Rewards members get excellent benefits for their status. Concierge lounge has free meals at breakfast and dinner as well as drinks and snacks if you have access

Nice lobby and great service at this hotel but past the lobby other areas need upgrading. The rooms aren't that great and for 4 days I was shorted on towels. They are just lacking some standard things in the rooms that I expect (i.e. well tucked in bed sheets) to get in Dallas at this price.

The guy at the front desk tonight is VERY RUDE. Put me on hold very quickly. NO HELP. I do not like the tone or disrespect he gave me. WORST FRONT DESK PERSON I HAVE EVER SPOKEN TO. And I am a Marriott Employee so that is even worse to get that disrespect like that. I will NEVER stay at this hotel.

Very nice place, just a little pricey, even pricey on parking. I really wanted to go to the hot tub,, but it was drained. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean... and the hotel was gorgeous

We love this hotel. We got conjoined rooms for my son's birthday sleepover. It was perfect. We went swimming and then ended the night with glow in the dark nerf wars. We even had balconies in both rooms. The kids were super excited and the best part was we didn't have to clean up, although I still made sure not to leave it a complete wreck. We always enjoy our stay here. Great hospitality with very inviting and friendly staff. Thanks, again!

Was there for a conference. Their customer service is great. And the remodeling they are doing looks immaculate. I was very impressed with my stay. My only negative which isn't the hotels fault was it rained and there were a ton of grass hoppers on the property.

The place is beautiful and the staff were very accommodating, professional, and nice. My only complaint was the toilet paper was terrible! For a place of this caliber I would expect much better TP. But that aside, I would definitely stay there again if I'm ever back in the area!

Best hotel I have stayed at. I was there for a 3 day conference and was taken care of so well. They texted me as soon as I got in my room to see how i was doing. They stayed in contact with me the whole time. The first night I couldn't sleep with the feather pillows so i sent a text to see if they had other pillows that were cotton and received my 4 new pillows within 10 minutes at my door. Slept like a baby. This hotel was very friendly and accommodating and made sure i was comfortable the whole time. The room was very spacious and comfortable. And I loved the nightlight in the room that projected to the ceiling the words "Stay Awhile". It would have been even better if they had a nightlight in the bathroom so I wouldn't have to turn on the bright light on in the middle of the night, but i think all hotel bathrooms need a night light (i didn't bother to ask for one either though, they probably would have brought one up). Great hotel and great group rate. The room service was really good food (Angus burger) and so is the restaurant in the hotel (lobster stuffed ravioli). YUM! I might go back just for the ravioli.
