SueAnn Wade-Crouse Review of Renaissance Richardson Hotel

Our stay at the Renaissance Dallas Richardson exceeded expectations on every front.
The rooms were less expensive than some of the other hotels we considered, but it was convenient to the event we were attending, so we expected a tradeoff of convenience for luxury and were proven happily wrong!
You know how some hotels treat you as though you should consider yourselves lucky to be staying in their hotel, and your requests are an annoyance to the staff. The Renaissance Dallas Richardson was just the opposite. Every single staff person there bent over backwards to please us, seemed genuinely dedicated to doing a good job and to making us feel very appreciated for example:
(1) When we arrived and our reserved room wasn't ready for occupancy, the front desk person, Rhona, offered us a room in which to freshen up. Then when the people in the double queen Jr. Suite we'd reserved decided to stay another night, she upgraded us to an King Executive Suite AND comp d us an additional King room! I thought that was considerate of the people who decided to stay another night, and considerate of us.
(2) The room service was fast, thoughtful (they asked important questions) and courteous, and the food unexpectedly delicious and hot when it arrived!
(3) When we requested additional pillows and blankets, they arrive so quickly we were shocked.
(4) The drinks in the bar were tasty, and the setting pleasant, as was the entire hotel. In spite of a huge crowd staying there for the Miss Texas Pageant, it never felt cramped or loud.
(5) They had a large bank of fast elevators, which was so nice as we usually spend lots of time waiting for elevators in hotels.
(6) We were literally across a driveway away from the Eisemann Center, and close and convenient to SMU, Highland Park, NorthPark and even downtown which was a quick shot down the unexpectedly fast-moving U. S. Highway 75 (Central Expressway).
(7) We requested our car from the valet and it was actually there waiting for us when we arrived at the entrance, and the service personnel were so nice.
We will definitely stay at the Renaissance Dallas Richardson again.
