About a dozen friends and I stayed at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel for a friend's Bachelor Party. The rooms were spacious, affordable, and offered quality accommodations. The bar was nice as well and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay overnight in Cleveland.

I only give this two stars because it was a beautiful building close to public square and we could see some of the lake from our 11th story room. Aside from that, it wasn't great. The front desk staff was miserable, our room was right in front of the elevator on our floor so there was constant noise. The room was smaller then my room at home and i would barely call our bed a queen. When I booked this room I requested a jetted tub, literally the entire reason I got the hotel. Upon arrival there was a shower tub combo with no jets and could barely fit me in it. I immediately went to see if we could possibly upgrade the room and they acted like I was stupid and said no jet tub rooms are open because of covid 19. Overall just a bad experience and misrepresented in the booking. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends and family.

Terrible hotel. There where kids partying in half of the rooms all night. I complained to the front desk and they acted like that was normal there and did not care. Also parking is expensive. So realize you need to add on 30 dollars to what the room says online to pay for it. Hotel is way overpriced and dirty.

Located at the heart of downtown Cleveland right on public square. The Renaissance is a magnificent building with not only beautiful architecture but with the elegance on the interior to match. With places multiple places to eat within walking distance and attached within tower city it is your one stop if you are looking to stay in heart of Cleveland and experience all that Cleveland has to offer.

Was $200/night, I was in Cleveland for a conference and stayed 3 nights. Room was small, toilet semi-broken (had to flush 3 times for desired effect), and internet $16/day which is absurd. The hotel has few amenities.. unless you are interested in a casino. I like money so I was not. No pool or hot tub. On the plus side, the airport train brought me straight to my hotel for $2.50 and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Service was fine. I guess I just expect more from $200/night. Cleveland is not NYC.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. I feel as if I'm in a price of art. I prefer to stay here over the newer hotels. This place is very accommodating of your needs. The place is absolutely beautiful I can't say that enough. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable. I'm in Cleveland every 3 months for the clinic, I've stayed everywhere and this is my favorite. It's also very affordable.

Clean hotel. The San saucci had a delicious flat bread we all enjoyed. The quesadilla was standard fare. The service was wonderful and the valets were most helpful. The front desk did mix up the billing but other than that everything was great. Sally who answers the phone is most helpful. Tim was also a great help to our group. Would stay again. Location is great for going around downtown.

From the second you enter the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel, you're aware of the kind of experience you'll have during your stay. The entrance was rather elegant and this theme continued to the check-in counter, where staff was very accommodating and courteous. Was fortunate enough to have a view of Lake Erie, and being in town to see baseball it was helpful that the Renaissance is only half a mile away from Progressive Field. Several nearby restaurants and a well-stocked fitness center help make the Renaissance Cleveland an ideal location to stay.

Classic older hotel. Some neat details like huge crown moldings and baseboards. Some of the room features are dated (alarm clock had the old 30 pin connector) but generally good power outlets and some USB power ports. Staff very friendly.

Great location. Great ancient building experience. Read ppl complaining about the elevator being slow. However We didn't experience any inconvenience. The elevator was fast enough. The breakfast however should be better as a historical hotel. the selection was very limited in contrast to other compariable hotel brands. Otherwise I would give 5 stars.

Look elsewhere... outdated hotel nothing special for the price. Garage parking not included with room cheaper to park across the street. No breakfast, Wifi cost extra. Good location but plenty of other hotels to look at. Bus stop right outside expect lots of people asking for money. Believe me look ELSEWHERE!

Hotel was wonderful, the staff was very friendly. Hotel connects to a nearby mall, which connects then connected to the building I was doing business in, which meant I didn't have to go out in the cold nearly as often, very convenient location. This was especially nice considering how many panhandlers were around the city toward the later hours. Room was always clean, very well taken care of in general. Breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The rooms were spacious enough but incredibly dusty, and had few amenties. There was mold in the shower tiles and the entire place smelled stale. The staff was helpful, but disorganized. Oh, and I believe another guest urinated in the elevator.

Very shabby, they have "updated" bathtubs that have been painted in the inside. It smelled bad and irritated my allergies. Bring your Lysol wipes. The casino next door has all kinds of characters lurking around and it didn't feel safe after dusk.

Conveniently located, connected to the Tower City Mall, which sits on top of a train station. A very Tokyo like set up. If Yu are coming from the airport you can take the train directly to the mall and the hotel is called connected. It's nice enough. The only thing I can think to comment on is the garage which isn't really set up with safe walkways and doesn't feel/ look very safe. Oh and the AC units are ancient.

Upscale but rooms are small. Decor up to date. You can hear doors and people in halls. Located on Public Square of downtown Cleveland. Accessible to Tower City and Horseshoe Casino, without going outside. Not worth $399 per night but I wasn't paying so okay.

I would not recommend that anyone stay in this hotel. For starters, the hotel does not have complimentary parking for its guests. This wouldn't be a problem, if it weren't for the fact that it ended up costing us $42 dollars to park in their parking structure overnight. It was filthy with food waste and broken glass on the floor and it smelled heavily of marijuana, cigarettes, alcohol, and urine. On top of that, it was a little tedious to move our luggage from the car into the building, because we had to travel down from the second floor of the structure, walk around the outside of the building to get to the front entrance, and then walk up a flight of stairs to get to their front desk. The main receptionist was quick in signing us in and giving us our room keys but didn't explain anything about the hotel's amenities, how the elevators operate (key needing to be tapped on a sensor to access all floors even though it was labeled access for only the 14th and 15th floor), or our checkout time (we had asked for late check out but didn't know what time late indicated). The hotel looked clean from a distance but up close you could see how dirty it was. The rugs and carpets were grimy and looked like they hadn't been washed in ages. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly since there were soap stains and grime in the shower. Additionally, they have complimentary WiFi, if and only if, you're willing to pay about 15 dollars a day. For 2020, a hotel not offering free WiFi to its guests is pretty surprising. Finally, the hotel and rooms just smelled musty and heavily of marijuana. It was not pleasant to walk down the hall or through the lobby because it just smelled like skunk. In short, I'd look for a different hotel since you could definitely find a cleaner hotel with better amenities for the same price, if not less.

Booked a room but they gave it away before we could check in and bumped us to a hotel farther away from our destination. Our plans for the following day are totally thrown off because of it. What's the point of booking if they aren't going to honor it.

The hotel names says it all. It gives you a modern day look with a historic feel. The staff is very friendly and personable. They gave us great history about the hotel and the city. I plan to make it my luxury hotel of choice the next time I am in the city.

I wish I can give no star. BED BUGS came out during my stay. Have not receive follow up call from General Manager. At least 45 bug bites. I was bitten by some unknown bugs even after they changed my room.

I was honestly very disappointed, especially because my wife and I use Marriott often. We stayed two days and when we got bad the second day our room was not turned down, nor did we have fresh towels. As well I had left my AirPods on the desk when we left, and now there were no AirPods in the entire room. When we talk to the front desk they were extremely unhelpful. Said, Well all the cleaning people went home, so what do you want us to do? I want to at least get fresh towels! To top it off they wouldn t even consider addressing the missing AirPods, and continued to beat around the bush and changed the subject. I was extremely dissatisfied with my stay and probably won t stay here again. I wouldn t recommend staying here either.

Front desk was rude. The smell down the seventh floor hallway was disgusting. The toilet in the room was tankless and extememely loud. The grout in the shower was falling off. The room had water stains on the ceiling. Overall the experience was far from good, but more importantly while staying during a pandemic....there were no hand sanitizing stations.

The hotel is nice and very clean. HOWEVER, they host an event that they know ends at 4:00 and then they tell guests that any cars not removed from their parking lot by 2 will be charged for an additional day. They also do not include free WiFi with the room and when you purchase the WiFi, it s only good for 2 devices. When I reserved the room, I stated how many people would be in the room but I can t get WiFi for them all. When I complained about this, the standard answer is, we don t control the WiFi and we don t own the garage. Really? The garage says Renaissance Hotel and I used Renaissance valet. When I purchased the WiFi, it said Renaissance Hotel guest WiFi. They want to nickel and dime you for every little thing but they take zero responsibility for any of it. The next time we have to come here for an event, I ll take my $500 somewhere else. Very disappointed.

This hotel has so much potential. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is its location and the architecture. However, that's it. As soon as I walked in, my first impression was if the hotel was turned on. It was really dull inside. The carpets are really old and so are the interior of the rooms. The bathroom is outdated. I was a bit itchy in the room. The writing desk was awkwardly placed in front the window. It prevented me from closing the blinds. It seems like there is only one front desk person to service a pretty big hotel. However, she was nice but overwhelmed. Granted that I visited during the COVID-19 pandemic but I do think the interior is dated and dark regardless but maybe my comment on the service is specific to the timing.

It's a very old structure, very grand and beautiful. The restaurant can use some upgrade though. If you like staying in hotels with a lot of character this one is for you. The grand lobby is great to just relax with your coffee or tea. The location is very convenient too. You're close to the casino and the foodie part of town. At Christmas time the lobby is beautifully decorated but I love how the Christmas Carols were not too loud. That really added to the old world charm
